Bompard, R.Napoli July 9th , 2009 OUTLINE Cooperation Research activities Malicious threat analysis Extended topological approaches to vulnerability analysis Coordination of interconnected power systems under attack PSSL – Power Systems Security Lab COOPERATION ANALYSIS OF MALICIOUS MENACE Capturing the specific features of malicious threat: Threath & attack: off-line and on-line analysis; Modelling strategic interaction of attacker defenders; Theories & models: game theory and Multi agent systems; EXTENDED TOPOLOGICAL APPROACH We propose an extended approach able to capture those behaviours that can not be described by pure topological approach. The main purpose is to keep the dominance of topological approach in studying from general and statistical perspective, but also to take into account the physical and operation constraints that affect considerably the assessment of power system vulnerability. The traditional metrics provided by CN (Efficiency, Betweenness, Distribution of Connectivity) need to be revised.
