Contre-indication: le fonctionnement correct des stimulateurs cardiaques peut être perturbé par les oscillations ultrasoniques de haute
fréquence. Nous vous conseillons de ne pas traiter les patients porteurs de stimulateurs cardiaques avec ce produit.
Kontraindikation: Herzschrittmacher können durch hochfrequente Ultraschallschwingungen in ihrer Funktion gestört werden. Daher

Contraindication: ultrasonic oscillations
may prevent cardiac pacemakers functioning
properly. Therefore, we recommend that patients
with a cardiac pacemaker should not be treated
with this product.
Use for the intended purpose only: before
using the product, make sure that you have studied and understood the operating instructions.
This also applies to any product used with this
system. Failure to observe the operating instructions may result in the patient or user suffering
serious injury or the product being damaged,
possibly beyond repair.
Do not use this product in the presence of
inﬂammable anaesthetics or gases.
This product must be used only by trained
and qualiﬁed personnel.
Always examine your Piezon® system for
damage before commencing treatment. Damaged accessories or a damaged product must
not be used and must be replaced. Use original
EMS spare parts and accessories only (see folded cover page).

Utilizar únicamente para su ﬁnalidad prevista: antes de utilizar este producto por primera vez, lea con atención estas instrucciones de
empleo hasta su completa comprensión. Válido
igualmente para todos los productos que utilice
en combinación con este sistema. La no observancia de estas instrucciones de empleo puede
tener como consecuencia lesiones así como

No utilice este producto en combinación

Compruebe antes de cada tratamiento que
su sistema Piezon® no presenta defectos. Un accesorio o un aparato dañado no se debe utilizar.

The instruments and Endo ﬁles of your
Endo Master System oscillate at high frequency
during the treatment. In rare cases, when the instruments or ﬁles are not used properly, these
oscillations may cause them to fracture during
treatment. The rubber dam prevents the patient
from swallowing or inhaling parts of a fractured or
loose instrument or Endo ﬁle. In the event a rubber dam cannot be placed, instruct the patient to
breathe through the nose during treatment in order to prevent small parts of a fractured or loose
instrument or Endo ﬁle from being swallowed or
inhaled.
To avoid heat damage on the tooth, never
work dry, unless the instrument is intended speciﬁcally for this purpose. The end of the instrument immediately heats up when used dry. The
instrument must not be activated during more
than 10% of a maximum working time of 10 minutes with the "Dry Work" function. An incorrect
use may cause a deterioration of the handpiece.

Gebrauch dazu kommen, dass die Instrumente
und Feilen während der Behandlung aufgrund
dieser Schwingungen abbrechen. Durch Anlegen
eines Kofferdamms wird verhindert, dass der Patient ein gebrochenes Instrument- oder Feilenteil
verschluckt oder einatmet. Sollte es nicht möglich
sein, einen Kofferdamm anzulegen, sollten Sie,
den Patienten dahingehend instruieren, dass er
während der Behandlung durch die Nase atmen
muss.
Zur Vermeidung von möglichen Hitzeschäden am Zahn oder an Ihrem Handstück, arbeiten
Sie, mit Ausnahme der dafür vorgesehenen Instrumente niemals trocken. Die Spitzen der Instrumente erhitzen sich bei trockenem Gebrauch.
Bei "Dry Work" Benutzung beachten Sie, dass
die Einschaltsdauer nicht über einen Zeitraum
von mehr als 10% der maximalen Arbeitszeit von
10 Minuten überschreit. Eine schlechte Benutzung kann zur Beschädigung des Handstückes

Use the CombiTorque® to tighten the EMS instruments on the appropriate handpiece with
the correct torque. Once the instrument binds,
turn it a further quarter-turn. Push slightly the
CombiTorque® against the handpiece during
this quarter-turn.

Oscillating and rotating dental instruments produce aerosol due to irrigation.
You can dramatically reduce the bacterial count in the air by using the
ready-for-use irrigation liquid BacterX® pro* (0.2% chlorhexidine) on your
Piezon® Master 600 or 400.
Additionally, rinsing the patient’s mouth prior to treatment with BacterX®
pro* is recommended.
When used daily on your Piezon® Master 600 or 400, BacterX® pro* also
reduces the bacterial count in the liquid lines of your unit well below 100
cfu/ml (cfu= colony forming units of heterotrophic bacteria). Dental Associations ask makers of dental equipment not to exceed 200 cfu/ml in
liquid lines.

Reducción del efecto aerosol
Oszillierende und rotierende Dentalinstrumente rufen durch die notwendige Spülﬂüssigkeit einen Aerosol-Sprühnebel hervor.
Sie können die Keimzahlen in diesem Sprühnebel drastisch reduzieren,
wenn sie auf Ihrem Piezon® Master 600 oder 400 die gebrauchsfertige
Spüllösung BacterX® pro (0.2% Chlorhexidin) verwenden.
Zusätzlich wird empfohlen, vor der Behandlung den Patienten mit den
Mund spülen zu lassen.
Wenn BacterX® pro auf Ihrem Piezon® Master 600 oder 400 täglich eingesetzt wird, verringert sich auch die Bakterienkonzentration in den ﬂüssigkeitsführenden Leitungen des Geräts auf deutlich unter 100 cfu/ml (cfu=
colony forming units of heterotrophic bacteria). Dentalverbände empfehlen den Herstellern von DentalGeräten, in ﬂüssigkeitsführenden Leitungen 200 cfu/ml nicht zu überschreiten.

Associazioni dentali chiedono ai produttori di accessori odontoiatrici di

The Endo Master Systems from EMS have
been designed to accelerate and optimise endodontic treatment. The system features Endo
ﬁles activated by ultrasound to accelerate preparation and deliver perfect canal cleaning. It
can also includes other instruments for removing calciﬁcations in the pulp chamber and for
the lateral condensation of gutta-percha.
Les Endo Master Systems de EMS ont été développés pour vous permettre de réaliser votre
traitement endodontique dans les meilleures
conditions possibles. Pour ce faire, les systèmes contiennent des limes Endo qui, activées

Allmän information
Los sistemas Endo Master de EMS han sido
desarrollados para permitirle realizar su tratamiento endodóntico en las mejores condiciones posibles. Para ello los sistemas contienen
limas Endo, que activadas por un movimiento
ultrasónico, le permite obtener una preparación
rápida y una limpieza perfecta del canal radicular. Otros instrumentos le ayudarán a eliminar
la calciﬁcación presente en la cámara pulpar y
a condensar lateralmente la gutapercha.

endodontico. A questo proposito le caratteristiche dei sistemi delle lime Endo attivate dagli

and ultrasound with the end of your Endo ﬁle
facing up. The liquid jet must extend along the
ﬁle up to 4 mm beyond the end of the ﬁle.
Use a low power setting. Use a medium to high

When preparing the root canal, use slow circular and up-and-down movements. Use stepback technique.

Before inserting the instrument in the
canal against the gutta-percha cones, immerse
in eucalyptus oil. The eucalyptus oil prevents
the instrument from sticking to the guttapercha cones. Following insertion, press slightly against the cone to condense it. Activation
time: 2 seconds. Repeat with every inserted
cone until the canal is ﬁlled.
Avant d’insérer l’instrument dans le canal, contre les cônes de gutta-percha, immergez-le dans l’huile d’eucalyptus. Vous pourrez
ensuite l’utiliser pour exercer une pression latérale contre les cônes de gutta-percha présents

Very powerful, this instrument transmits maximum of ultrasonic vibrations to the crown,
bridge or post. The transmitted ultrasonic vibrations breaks the cement holding the crown,
bridge or post in the tooth.
The high-frequency ultrasonic oscillations are effective only if instrument D is placed
on a metal surface. To release a metal-ceramic
restoration, an opening must be drilled through
the ceramic (porcelain) to expose the metal. In
addition to this damage, the porcelain may also
be fractured by the ultrasonic oscillations.
Instrument RT2
Fine, diamond-coated instrument to remove
shoulders and other obstacles for access to a
broken instrument inside the root canal.
Instrument RT3
Long and tapered instrument, for the removal
of broken instruments in the root canal. The

is not damaged. Should it be damaged, remove
it using a hand scaler and replace it with an
original EMS O-ring. When replacing the Oring, do not use any tool which could damage

No liquid ﬂow when the foot
switch is activated
• Switch on the unit with the Power switch (and press the "Stand-By" button if you have purchased a Piezon®
Master 600)
• Increase the liquid ﬂow rate
• If your unit has a "Dry Work" function, make sure this function is not activated
• Check the connections between the unit, the handpiece hose and the handpiece
• Disconnect the handpiece and check with compressed air for blockage. If yes, send the handpiece to your EMS
service team
• If you have purchased a Piezon® Master 600, disconnect the handpiece hose and check with compressed air for
blockage. If yes, send the handpiece cord to your EMS service team
• If you have purchased a Piezon® Master 600 or 400, make sure the bottle is properly installed
• If your Piezon® handpiece has a grey or black body, check whether it has a red or yellow coupling plug. If yes, use
a handpiece with a black, grey, blue or green coupling plug
• Send the unit to your EMS service team
