35a EDIZIONE EUROVISION SPORTS
Saluto del Presidente della Provincia Dr. Luis Durnwalder
È un grande piacere poter dare il benvenuto in qualità di Presidente della Provincia ed
Assessore allo Sport, a tutti i partecipanti alla 35a edizione invernale dell’Eurovision Sport.
Saranno molte le discipline nelle quali i colleghi delle televisioni europee cercheranno di
dimostrare la loro bravura e la loro tecnica: dallo slalom al supergigante, dalla staffetta
singola a quella a squadre.
La Val Pusteria con Plan de Corones e Anterselva sono le sedi prescelte per queste gare. È
un grande onore per la nostra provincia, poter ospitare così tanti giornalisti e operatori del
mondo dell’informazione.
Le gare sono previste dall’11 al 18 marzo e ci sarà sicuramente spazio per visitare alcune
splendide località della Val Pusteria o per momenti di maggiore approfondimento delle
tradizioni locali.
Voglio pertanto esprimere il mio più cordiale benvenuto a tutti i partecipanti ed ai loro
famigliari e augurare loro un bellissimo e piacevole soggiorno in Alto Adige. Sono certo che
grazie allo sforzo del comitato organizzatore potremo vivere una settimana intensa, con la
garanzia di grande professionalità.Questa occasione costituisce inoltre un’ottima possibilità
per incontrarsi nuovamente con colleghi stranieri e per confrontare esperienze comuni,
traendone un arricchimento reciproco.
Non bisogna tuttavia dimenticare che oltre all’aspetto dell’intrattenimento ci sarà l’aspetto
“agonistico” per cui auguro a tutti gli atleti un cordiale "in bocca al lupo" per il
raggiungimento degli auspicati successi sportivi.

Greeting of the President of the Province Dr. Luis Durnwalder
It is a great pleasure, as the President of the Province, to welcome the participants of the 35th
Eurovision Sports’ winter edition.
There will be many disciplines in which the colleagues of the European televisions are going to
display their skill and technique: from slalom to super G, from single relay to team relay.
The Valley of Pusteria with Plan de Corones and Anterselva are the chosen sites for these
contests. It is a great honour for our Province to host such a big amount of journalists and news
operators.
The competitions are going to take place from the 11th to the 18th of March. There will be also
time to visit some of the wonderful sites of the Valley of Pusteria or for deepening some of the
local traditions.
Therefore, I want to express my cordial welcome to the whole participants and their families and
to wish them a fine and pleasant stay in South Tyrol. I am sure, that thanks to the organizing
committee, we will experience an intense week, with the guarantee of great professionalism.
Moreover, this event will represent an excellent opportunity to encounter foreign colleagues
meeting with common experiences and gaining mutual enrichment.
However, we should not forget that beyond the entertaining aspect, there will be also the
“agonistic” aspect; therefore I wish the whole athletes good luck in the realization of their desired
sports achievements.

Grußworte für Broschüre von Landeshauptmann Dr. Luis Durnwalder
Als Landeshauptmann und verantwortlicher Sportlandesrat entbiete ich den wintersportbegeisterten
Teilnehmern von zehn europäischen Fernsehstationen herzliche Willkommensgrüße!
Es freut mich, dass die Organisatoren von ARCAL-RAI in diesem Jahr Südtirol zum Austragungsort der
Wintersportwettkämpfe bestimmt haben. Das Pustertal mit dem Kronplatz und den Wintersportanlagen im
Antholzer Tal zählt seit jeher zu den Hochburgen des Wintersportes. Zahlreiche Weltcupbewerbe,
internationale Meisterschaften waren bisher sichtbarer Ausdruck für die Anerkennung der bisher geleisteten
organisatorischen und sportlichen Arbeit.
So freuen sich die Ausrichter dieser 35. Auflage von Eurovisons Wintersports darauf, zahlreiche aktive
Wintersportler zu Gast zu haben und sicher spannende Wettbewerbe zu erleben.
Das Pustertal besitzt anspruchsvolle Pisten und Loipen. Dies lässt darauf hoffen, dass die bereits erfahrenen
Ausrichter eine beeindruckende Sportveranstaltung ermöglichen werden. Wir alle vertrauen ferner auf das
Publikum. Ihm werden - gewiss nicht zu Unrecht - besonderes Interesse, Begeisterungsfähigkeit und
Objektivität nachgesagt. Ein abwechslungsreiches Rahmenprogramm sorgt für viel Kurzweil und
Unterhaltung zwischen den Wettkämpfen.
Diese Faktoren bieten die Gewähr dafür, dass die bevorstehenden Wettbewerbe vom 11. bis 18. März 2006
für die Teilnehmer, aber auch für die Zuschauer, zu einem großen, fairen und erfolgreichen Fest des
Wintersportes werden.
In diesem Sinne wünsche ich allen Wettbewerbsteilnehmern nicht nur große Erfolge, sondern auch einige
schöne Tage in unserem Land!

35 EUROVISION SPORTS
La qualifica di Presidente Onorario della trentacinquesima edizione dell’Eurosport Invernale mi
onora ed emoziona al tempo stesso.
Ho gia’ avuto modo di apprezzare e toccare con mano tre anni fa, quando la RAI ha avuto il
privilegio di organizzare ed ospitare a Le Castella la quarantaseiesima edizione dell’Eurovision
Sport estiva, l’entusiasmo, lo spirito sportivo, la lealtà ed il fair play degli atleti che hanno
confermato la loro partecipazione alla manifestazione.
Sono certo – ed e’ in tal senso che tengo ad esprimere il mio augurio – che in questa manifestazione
non si potranno che ritrovare il clima complessivo e l’impegno individuale che hanno da sempre
caratterizzato le manifestazioni del nostro circuito.
Sono ancora nell’aria gli echi dei recentissimi Giochi Olimpici Invernali di Torino, che hanno
provato ancora agli spettatori ed agli sportivi di tutto il mondo come gli sport invernali non
soffrano di alcun complesso o sussidiarietà rispetto a specialità di più remota tradizione, potendo
risplendere, in piena evidenza, di propria luce.
I migliori auspici a tutti gli atleti che si cimenteranno nell’articolato “palinsesto” (mi si passi il
termine radio televisivo) delle discipline e delle competizioni, nella consapevolezza, quanto allo
spirito, che come in tutte le edizioni, protagonisti saranno il fair play, la sportività e ed il sentimento
di autentica passione che hanno da sempre caratterizzato Eurosport.

highly honoured and excited at the same time.
I have already had the pleasure to appreciate three years ago , when RAI has had the honour to
organize and to host in the Castella the 46th edition of the Summer Eurovisionsport, the
enthusiasm, the sport spirit, the loyalty and the fair play of the athletes who have confirmed their
participation to the manifestation.
I’m sure - and it’s' in that sense that I want to express to everybody my best wishes - that in this
manifestation we will be able to find again the total atmosphere and the individual engagement
that have always characterized the manifestations of our circuit.
The echoes of the most recent Winter Olympic Games of Turin are still in the air, which have
showed to the spectators and to the sports people coming from all parts of the world, how the
winter sports do not suffer from some complex regarding specialty of remoter tradition, but they
can glitter in full evidence of own light.

Der Titel des Ehrenpraesident zu dieser 35. Veranstaltung der Winter Spiele von Eurovision Sports 2006
läßt mich hoch geehrt und stolz gleichzeitig fühlen.
Ich habe bereits schon vor drei Jahren das Vergnügen gehabt, im Wert zu steigen, als RAI die Ehre, die 46
des Sommers Spiele von Eurovision Sport in Le Castella zu organisieren gehabt hat, der Begeisterung, des
Sport-Geistes, der Loyalität und des schönen Spieles der Athleten zu organisieren und zu bewirten, die ihre
Teilnahme zur Kundgebung bestätigt haben.
Ich bin sicher - und es ist in diesem Sinn, dass ich zu jedem meine besten Wünsche ausdrücken will - dass
in dieser Kundgebung wir imstande sein werden, wieder die Totalatmosphäre und die individuelle
Verpflichtung zu finden, die immer die Kundgebungen unserer Kreislinie charakterisiert haben.
Die Echos des letzten Winters Olympische Spiele in Turin sind noch in der Luft, die alle Zuschauern und
Sportler, die aus allen Teilen der Welt gekommen sind, gezeigt haben, wie der Wintersport unter keinem
Komplex bezüglich Spezialgebietes der entfernteren Tradition leidet, aber sie in vollen Beweisen des
eigenen Lichtes glitzern können.
Die besten Auspizien zu allen Athleten, die im artikulierten "palimpsest" (lassen Sie mich diese Fernsehenund Radiobezeichnung führen) der Disziplinen und der Konkurrenzen, im Wissen, bis zu dem Geist
versuchen, der in allen Ausgaben war; Hauptfiguren werden das schöne Spiel, der Sport-Geist und das
Gefühl der authentischen Leidenschaft sein, die immer Eurovisionsport charakterisiert hatte.

Pusteria.
Le splendide montagne del Sud Tirolo sono una degna cornice alla nostra
manifestazione, che ci dara’ l’opportunita’ di trascorrere una settimana all’insegna
dello sport e dell’amicizia.
Questa manifestazione assume un particolare significato, per noi che operiamo nel
campo dell’informazione, per riaffermare in un momento caratterizzato da tensioni
internazionali i valori di solidarieta’ e amicizia tra i popoli.
Voglio concludere questo breve saluto augurando a tutti Voi una piacevole e
rilassante settimana che Vi consenta di fare un pieno di energie e di bellissimi

holiday areas of South Tirol and the Dolomites.We will have the opportunity to spend a week in
sport and friendship together.
This event has a special meaning for us who are working in the information field, to reaffirm the
values of solidarity between peoples, in an era characterized by international conflicts
