YERME SUMMER SCHOOL (YESS-5) August, 18-25, 2010 Palermo, Sicily Italy Gruppo di Ricerca sull'Insegnamento/Apprendimento delle Matematiche Università degli Studi di Palermo Dipartimento di Matematica e Applicazioni Via Archirafi, 34 - 90123 PALERMO Tel.(091) 6040111 - 6040428 - 6040434 – Fax (091) 6040311 A suitable week for the summer school could be August 18-25, 2010. The decision to start on a working day and not during the week-end was taken because on Saturday the 14th and Sunday the 15th there is a very important holiday in Italy that could make transportation difficult and uncomfortable. Furthermore flights close to national holidays can become very expensive. We scheduled August 18th and 25th for arrival-registration and departure respectively 19-24 August are five and a half working days and a free afternoon for a trip. We are also planning evening activities that could include meals outside the hotel, visiting nearby cultural and tourist sites, music concerts and movie projection in the hotel’s conference room, parties etc. There is also the possibility to organize a one day trip on Wednesday 25th if participants want to stay in Sicily an extra day or have an evening flight.
