Effetto serra
• E’ possibile vivere
sulla terra grazie
all’effetto serra.
• E’ infatti un processo
naturale che ne
regola la temperatura.

che la temperatura è
più alta rispetto al

Greenhouse effect
• Sun rays pass the
atmosphere and
warm the Earth.
• The Earth absorbs
and reflects Sunlight’s
heat.
• Greenhouse gases
trap heat from the
Sun.
Funzionamento dell’effetto serra
• I raggi solari
attraversano
l’atmosfera e
riscaldano la terra.
• La terra assorbe e
riflette i raggi solari.
• I gas serra
intrappolano il calore
del sole.
Global warming and climate
change
• Today the
concentration of
greenhouse gases
(for example carbon
dioxide) is too high.
• So the climate on
Earth has changed:
global surface
temperature rose by
around 0.6°C.

• Men started using fossil
fuels (oil, coal and gas) in
the past from the
Industrial Revolution.
• When we burn them, we
emit greenhouse gases.
• this causes an unnatural
increase of temperature
called GLOBAL
WARMING.

Green Energy and Cleaner Environment
• Renewable energy is also called “Green Energy”
• Green energy is “Environmentally friendly”
• The use of renewable sources is limited by the fact
that it is sometimes difficult to use them:
– for example, cloudy days reduce solar energy, etc…
• Despite some limitations, renewable energy
is important to protect the environment
Energia Pulita e un Ambiente più Pulito
• L’Energia Rinnovabile è chiamata anche “Energia Pulita"
• L’Energia Pulita è “Amica dell’Ambiente"
• L'uso di fonti rinnovabili è limitato dal fatto che esse a volte
sono difficili da usare:
– per esempio, le giornate nuvolose riducono l'energia solare, ecc…
• Nonostante alcune limitazioni, le fonti
di energia rinnovabili sono importanti
per proteggere l'ambiente

• Defrost your fridge regularly
• Don’t overheat your home

• Sbrina il tuo frigo regolarmente
• Non riscaldare troppo la tua casa
Switch Off
• Don’t leave your TV, stereo or computer standby
• Turn off the tap while brushing your teeth
• Unplug your phone charger when the battery is
full
Spegni
• Non lasciare televisore, stereo o computer in modalità
stand-by
• Chiudi il rubinetto mentre ti lavi i denti
• Stacca dalla presa il caricabatterie quando il cellulare è
carico
Recycle
• Recycle paper, glass and cans
• When shopping use reusable bag
Ricicla
• Ricicla la carta, il vetro e le lattine
• Quando vai a fare spesa usa più volte la stessa
busta
Walk
• Ask your parents to buy a small and fuel-efficient
car
• For short distances ask your parents to walk or
cycle
Cammina
• Chiedi ai tuoi genitori di comprare una macchina
piccola e efficiente
• Per brevi distanze chiedi ai tuoi genitori di
andare a piedi o in bicicletta
