GIORNALE DI BRESCIA 23 SPECTACULAR EVENING AT MONTH'S END Padenghereturns totheMiddleAgesand setsthecastleonfire adenghe sinks back into the Middle Ages. It’s been going back in time every summer for the past 15 years with the well-oiled «Medieval Padenghe» event, which will take place on the third weekend of August, as is tradition. On Saturday 22 and Sunday 23, the town’s historic centre and streets will transform into a lively and noisy medieval market with the addition of street artists, jugglers, stilt walkers, fortune tellers, fakirs, parades in vintage costumes, musicians, falconers, and flag wavers. This celebratory illusion of being in the past will last for two days and cars won’t be allowed. Padenghe districts will have food stands up for you to indulge your palate during the festivities, starting at 7:30pm on both days of the event. Do not miss out on the grand finale at 10:30pm, with the usual fireworks simulating a fire at the castle. Another thrilling event will take place in Padenghe’s old manor on Sunday 9 August at 9pm: «Waiting for the shooting stars», observing this celestial phenomenon along with the Brescia Friends of Astronomy Club in the magical atmosphere of the castle lit up with a thousand candles for the occasion. «Alan Farrington No Smoking Quartet» will provide sophisticated musical entertainment.
