COMPETITION VENUE
The competition will take place on Lake Bolsena (VT).
A small harbour is available on the lake for docking.
Black basses weighing up to 3 kg are present.
WHERE WE ARE AND HOW TO REACH US
The Lake Bolsena is located in the upper Lazio area, in the main caldera of the volcanic complex of
Vulsinio. It has an elliptical shape, a surface of 114,50 square km, a maximum depth of 151 m and a
perimeter of 43 km. Two islands, Bisentina and Martana, raise from the lake, which are probably
remains of volcanic craters. The lake is mostly bordered by Vulsnini mountain chain. The lake,
mostly nourished by rainwater, has many tributaries with modest capacities of water while the
Marta river, the only effluent, begins at the harbour of the homonymous village and it ends at the
Tyrrhenian Sea.
By car:
From Bologna-Firenze: take the A1 highway towards Rome, then exit at Orte Scalo, cross it and
take the SS71 freeway towards Montefiascone. Then, turn right on the Sp16and proceed to Lake
Bolsena final destination.
By flight:
From Amerigo Vespucci Airport – Peretola locality (Florence) (km 190):
www.aeroporto.firenze.it - Take the A1 motorway towards Rome and exit at Orvieto Scalo
tollgate, cross it and take the SS71 to Montefiascone, cross it and then turn right on the SP16 and
proceed to Lake Bolsena final destination.
From International Airport Leonardo Da Vinci Fiumicino in Rome (km 145): www.adr.it/it - Take
the ring road (GRA – Grande Raccordo Anulare), then the A1 motorway towards Firenze and exit
at Orte; then carry on towards Viterbo heading for Montefiascone; turn right on the SP16 and
proceed to Lake Bolsena final destination.
During the event, many road signs will be available near the towns - from all routes - showing how
to reach the competition venue
ACCREDITATION OF NATIONAL DELEGATIONS
Upon arrival, all delegations shall report to the Secretariat of the Local Organising Committee for
accreditation. In the Auditorium Comunale of Bolsena in Piazza Matteotti in Bolsena (Viterbo). In

The entry fee includes 10 closing gala tickets, fishing cards, insurance coverage and any gadgets the
Organising Committee might distribute.
The accommodation fee of the delegations in the official hotel, “Loriana Park Hotel” - Viale
Cadorna, 33 – BOLSENA, from dinner on 19th October to breakfast on Sunday 25th October is
fixed as follows - drinks excluded (for all the proposals):
Full board in double room per athlete € 1,550.00; the price is inclusive of boat to rent and services
(battery charging, fuel, haulage, packed lunch).
If a Nation has its own boats, then the cost of full board in double room will be € 800 per athlete,
including services (battery charging, fuel, haulage, packed lunch).
If a Nation elects not to stay at the designated hotel and has its own boats, then the cost for the
services (battery charging, fuel, haulage, mechanical support, boat replacement, if required) will be
€ 550.
If a Nation elects not to stay at the designated hotel and wants to hire the boats from the
organization (boats, battery charging, fuel, haulage) the cost for the services will be € 900 per
athlete.
Full board in double room for reserve, captain and delegate € 650.00 each.
The additional charge for single room accommodation is € 20.00 per night.
The cost of the gala dinner for any accompanying persons is € 60.00 per person.
OPENING CEREMONY
The opening ceremony will take place down the lake on Tuesday, 20th October 2015, at 05:00 pm.
Athletes, Captains and Managers shall report to the small square of the harbour by 04:30 pm.
AWARD CEREMONY AND GALA DINNER
The prize giving ceremony and the gala dinner will be held at 08:00 pm on Saturday 24th October in
the “Rocca dei Papi” in Montefiascone (Viterbo).
PROGRAM
All meetings will be held in the room in the Auditorium Comunale of Bolsena in Piazza Matteotti in
Bolsena (Viterbo).
