Nel corso del 2012 la nostra azienda ha festeggiato i suoi primi cinquant’anni. Abbiamo dedicato al
nostro giubileo il numero scorso (chi lo avesse perduto lo può comunque scaricare dal sito sabo.it), un
logo speciale e un party nella sede centrale, durante
il quale abbiamo ricevuto tante manifestazioni di
stima e affetto che ci hanno emozionato e ci hanno
dimostrato lo spirito di squadra che lega la nostra
grande famiglia.
Con il bel ricordo di quel momento affronteremo,
con rinnovato entusiasmo, il 2013. In particolare
guarderemo con interesse le prospettive indicate
dai mercati in crescita, come quelli asiatici e sudamericani, e ci auguriamo che presto anche la nostra
amata Italia riprenda a correre da campionessa. La
tradizione nella meccanica di qualità e l’importante contributo che la nostra terra offre al progresso
tecnologico sono punti di forza che ci infondono
fiducia. Ed è con fiducia che nostro Gruppo si è preparato a cogliere al meglio le sfide che lo attendono.
Come sapete, all’ultima edizione di Automechanika
Francoforte abbiamo presentato una nuova linea di
articoli: le teste e i tiranti per lo sterzo e le sospensioni, le barre di torsione e gli appositi kit boccole in
gomma. Dopo gli ammortizzatori Sabo e le sempre
più apprezzate molle ad aria, abbiamo continuato il
cammino verso una ancora più completa gamma di
prodotti a marchio Sabo. Un marchio stimato dalla
clientela di tutto il mondo per il suo rapporto qualità/prezzo, per la sua affidabilità e per il servizio che
la nostra azienda sa offrire, grazie a mezzo secolo
di esperienza. Anche la Mupo, la più giovane fra le
imprese entrate nel nostro Gruppo, si è impegnata a
fondo presentando prodotti destinati a nuovi target
di motociclisti, come leggerete in queste pagine.

During the year 2012 our company celebrated its
first fifty years of activity. The last issue was in fact
dedicated to our jubilee (if you missed it you can
download it from the sabo.it website) and there was
a special logo as well as a party at our main site. We
were quite moved by the many displays of affection
and respect that we received at that event, which
highlighted the team spirit uniting our big family.
It is then with happy memories that we are ready
to face 2013 with renewed enthusiasm. In particular we will be looking at the potential in growing
markets such as those in Asia and South America,
hoping all the while that our beloved Italy will get
back on its feet and return to its position as a frontrunner. The tradition of quality mechanics and
the important contribution offered by our land to
technological progress are the strong points that increase our trust. And it is with confidence that our
group is ready to deal with whatever challenge we
come up against.
As you know, at the last edition of Automechanika in
Frankfurt we presented a new product range: heads
and tie-rods for steering and suspension, torsion
bars and special rubber bush kits. Following on from
the Sabo shock absorbers and the ever more popular air springs, we have continued to make the Sabo
brand product ranges more comprehensive all the
time. It's a brand that is respected by clients all over
the world for its good cost/quality ratio, reliability
and for the services provided by our company thanks
to half a century of experience. Mupo, the youngest
of the companies that make up our group, has also
been extremely busy, presenting new products for
the market of motorcyclists - this is covered in the
following pages.

«Quando si parte?», Massimo Nuti non si immaginava certo questa risposta quando parlò a Marino Vitali, oggi direttore generale della Sabo Hema
Automotive, del suo progetto per sbarcare in India. Tutto è nato da lì, da quel colloquio nel 2007.
Da allora tutto ha proceduto a grande velocità. Ad
ottobre 2007, Nuti e Vitali erano già in India. Nel
2008 venne firmata la joint venture con la Hema
Engineering Industries, il 10 gennaio 2010 è stato
inaugurato lo stabilimento a Gurgaon (18 chilometri da Nuova Delhi). «Dopo 8 giorni abbiamo
prodotto il primo ammortizzatore efficiente e funzionante, che ora si trova nel mio ufficio indiano»,
racconta Vitali, che il 3 novembre 2011 si trasferì
con la moglie in India. «La nostra idea era di trasferire là la nostra tecnologia, le nostre competenze
e professionalità. L’azienda doveva specializzarsi
sia nei componenti originali (Oem) sia nell’after
market, con la stessa qualità dei pezzi prodotti
in Italia. Dovevamo trasferire lo stile del gruppo
Roberto Nuti Spa: pulizia, ordine, efficienza, salubrità, per garantire alle maestranze di lavorare nel
migliore ambiente possibile, nel rispetto delle persone e delle tradizioni culturali e religiose».
Il 27 giugno 2012 Vitali è tornato in Italia. «Sono
rimasto direttore dello stabilimento con un ruolo di supervisione, nel 2013 farò diversi viaggi a
Gurgaon».
Una scelta, quella dell’India, all’insegna dell’internazionalizzazione. «Prima di noi erano arrivati
diversi concorrenti e, con prodotti inviati dall’Italia era impossibile competere. Ora invece la strada
stiamo recuperando. A gennaio celebriamo il terzo
anno di attività e guardiamo con fiducia al prossimo
futuro. Gli obiettivi del 2013 sono il mantenimento
degli ordini da parte della casa madre e un aumento del business in India
e negli altri
paesi asiatici
e mediorientali». V.Z.
«When do we get going?», Massimo Nuti certainly
wasn't expecting such a reply when he spoke to Marino Vitali, current general manager of Sabo Hema
Automotive, about his plans to expand to India.
That's when it all started, during that conversation
back in 2007. Since then things have moved forward at great speed. Nuti and Vitali were already
in India in October 2007. In 2008 the joint venture with Hema Engineering Industries was made
official and on 10th January 2010 the factory in
Gurgaon (18 kilometres from New Delhi) was inaugurated. “Eight days later we produced the first
shock absorber in efficient working order, which is
now in my Indian office” says Vitali, who moved to
India with his wife on 3rd November 2011. “Our
plan was to transfer our technology, skills and professionalism there. The company was to specialise
both in original parts (Oem) and in the aftermarket
with the same standards of quality as the parts produced in Italy. Our aim was to transfer the style of
the Roberto Nuti Spa group: cleanliness, order, efficiency and health, in order to guarantee the workforce the best working environment possible, with
respect for people as well as cultural and religious
traditions.” Vitali returned to Italy on 27th June
2012. “I'm still manager of the factory in a supervisory role and during 2013 I'll travel to Gurgaon
several times.”
The decision about India was taken with a view to internationalisation. “Before us, various competitors
had already arrived and it was impossible for us to
compete with products sent from Italy. Now we're
making up for lost time. In January we'll celebrate
our third year there and we're looking to the future
with optimism. Our objectives for 2013 include stability in orders from the parent company and an increase in business in India
as well as in
other Asian
and
middle

James Sabo è un camionista folle, le cui fantastiche
avventure impazzano sul Web da alcune settimane
e contribuiscono ad aumentare il flusso dei visitatori sui nodi di comunicazione Web del gruppo
Roberto Nuti Spa, con un occhio di riguardo nei
confronti dei camionisti, utenti finali dei prodotti a
marchio Sabo. Sono già tre i video girati e montati
in due lingue (italiano e inglese).
Nel primo James ci mostra le differenze tra guidare
un camion con ammortizzatori di marca sconosciuta e uno con i prodotti Sabo. Caffè che vola in cabina
e capelli scompigliati ci dimostreranno che il lavoro
è più confortevole se si viaggia con Sabo.
Nel secondo filmato la passione di James per gli ammortizzatori Sabo è ormai tale che il nostro bizzarro
autista vuole utilizzarli anche nelle occasioni meno
opportune e ci mostrerà, con scarsi risultati, alcuni
modi poco ortodossi (ma divertenti) per utilizzare
un ammortizzatore Sabo. Nell’ultimo video si consuma il dramma, James Sabo corre indisturbato sulle strade della pianura sul suo Iveco bianco, quando
accade l’incredibile…

Le demenziali avventure di James Sabo sono una
produzione Rizomedia - Gatto Salgigi Ent., gli episodi sono diretti dal regista indipendente bolognese
Alessandro Boriani (noto per il cult “Il materasso
assassino!”). La parte del protagonista è interpretata dall’attore Luca Trigolo.
James Sabo is an outlandish truck driver whose fantastic adventures have, for some weeks now, been attracting hoards of followers on the internet, helping to boost
the flow of visitors to the websites of the Roberto Nuti
Spa Group; the stories aim to see the world from the
viewpoint of the truckers themselves, the end users of
Sabo brand products. Three videos have already been
filmed and edited in two different languages (Italian
and English).
In the first video James shows us the difference between
driving a truck with shock absorbers of an unknown
brand and one fitted with trusty Sabo shock absorbers.
Coffee spilt all over the cab and ruffled hair make the
point clearly: getting the job done is a lot more comfortable when you’re travelling with Sabo.
In the second video James’s enthusiasm for Sabo shock
absorbers is such that our bizarre driver even wants to
use them in the most inappropriate of situations; here, he
shows us - with very poor results - a few unorthodox (yet
hilarious) new ways of using Sabo shock absorbers.
In the last video there’s a spot of drama as something incredible happens while James Sabo is driving his white
Iveco along the flat roads of the plain…

new products at EICMA
All’Eicma 2012, l’importante Salone internazionale
del ciclo e motociclo, svoltosi a Milano in novembre,
la Mupo ha presentato alcuni nuovi prodotti: l’ammortizzatore per Yamaha T-Max, il kit ammortizzatori Mesa per Bmw R 1200 Gs Esa e la famiglia di
ammortizzatori stereo (o twin) dedicati a motocicli di
qualche anno fa o a particolari applicazioni moderne
come le Moto Guzzi V7. Yamaha T-max è un prodotto
pensato per soddisfare ogni tipo di utilizzo: dalla pista
al percorso turistico e urbano. Interamente regolabile
in idraulica, permette al motociclista di configurare la
sospensione per il tipo di uso richiesto attraverso un
registro di compressione posto sul corpo ammortizzatore con 40 posizioni disponibili e un registro di estensione posto sul serbatoio di compensazione remoto
con ulteriori 24 posizioni. È possibile, inoltre, regolare
la precarica della molla (per mezzo di ghiere) e l'altezza del retrotreno dello scooter. Il kit Mesa per Bmw R
1200 è invece composto da due ammortizzatori a funzionamento oleopneumatico, con precariche a molla
e piedini originali. L’ammortizzatore, vendibile con il
kit completo ma anche singolarmente, è disponibile
per modelli R 1200 Gs – R 1200 Gs Adventure (Showa - WP). Infine gli ammortizzatori stereo, pensati per
soddisfare motociclisti esigenti e disponibili 3 versioni
con serbatoio di compensazione azoto, o senza. Tutti
con regolazione micrometrica del precarico molla e,
a seconda della versione, interasse, compressione ed
estensione. Disponibili per moltissime moto moderne
e meno recenti.
At EICMA 2012, the major International Motorcycle
Exhibition held in Milan last November, Mupo presented
several new products: the shock absorber for the Yamaha
T-Max, the Mesa shock absorber kit for the BMW R 1200
Gs Esa and the family of twin shock absorbers specially
designed for the motorcycles of a few years ago or specific
modern applications such as that seen on the Moto Guzzi
V7. The Yamaha T-Max is a scooter designed to handle
a wide range of riding situations: on-track, touring and
inner city transport. Featuring fully adjustable hydraulics, it allows the rider to configure the suspension to suit
anticipated road conditions by way of a compression adjuster located on the shock absorber body with over 40
available positions and a rebound adjuster on the remote
compensation cartridge with another 24 positions. Furthermore, it’s possible to adjust spring pre-load (via the
ring nuts) and the height of the scooter’s rear end. The
Mesa kit for the BMW R 1200, instead, consists of two
oil-pneumatic shock absorbers with spring pre-loads and
original eye links. The shock absorber, which can be sold
either with the complete kit or individually, is available
for the R 1200 Gs – R 1200 Gs Adventure (Showa - WP)
models. Lastly, the twin shock absorbers, designed to
meet the needs of the most demanding motorcyclists, are
available in 3 different versions with or without a nitrogen compensation cartridge. All of them feature micrometric adjustment of spring pre-load and, depending on
the version, centre-to-centre, compression and rebound
adjustment too. Available for a vast range of modern and
less recent motorcycles.

realtà consolidata nel settore dei veicoli industriali
ed è un partner ideale per la vendita dei prodotti a
marchio Sabo.
Costituita nel 1986 da Maurizio Uguzzoni e Paolo
Fraulini, l’azienda conquista ben presto una posizione di notevole rilievo tra i rivenditori di componenti
per mezzi pesanti. A favorire lo sviluppo sul mercato, sono state le strategie commerciali adottate «al
servizio del cliente». Oggi, dopo che Fraulini è andato in pensione, i soci sono Maurizio e la figlia Barbara. Assieme a loro vi sono quattro rappresentanti,
due persone addette alle consegne e due addetti alla
gestione interna.
«Vendiamo ricambi per motrici italiane ed estere.
Siamo in grado di ricostruire dei pezzi di cessata
produzione e questo ci permette di avere contatti di
fornitura in tutti i Paesi dell'Unione europea ed extra
Cee. Siamo dotati di programmi informatici specifici
per la ricerca del ricambio di tutte le case costruttrici
e dei pezzi su misura», spiega Maurizio Uguzzoni.
Assali (fissi e sterzanti), sospensioni, motori, frizioni
e cambi, impianti freno, silenziatori, ganci di traino,
tutto materiale «che possiamo recapitare alle officine
in poche ore».
Il rapporto tra la Sa-Ba e la Roberto Nuti Spa va al
di là dell’aspetto lavorativo: «Nel tempo si è creato
un bel rapporto di amicizia e stima. Un rapporto
consolidato dalla qualità del nostro lavoro e dei loro
prodotti, ammortizzatori e sospensioni in primo luogo. Speriamo nel 2013 di potere inserire nella nostra
gamma gli ultimi prodotti del Gruppo: le teste e i
tiranti per lo sterzo e le sospensioni, le barre di torsione e i kit boccole in gomma da sostituire quando
usurate».

Vignola, Modena. Sa-Ba Ricambi (Spare Parts) is a
well-established firm in the industrial vehicle sector
and an outstanding partner when it comes to the sale
of Sabo brand products.
Founded in 1986 by Maurizio Uguzzoni and Paolo
Fraulini, the company soon managed to achieve a solid, leading position among heavy duty vehicle component dealers. Market development was aided by sales
strategies that focussed on customer service. Today,
now that Fraulini has retired, the partners are Maurizio and his daughter Barbara. They are supported by
four representatives, a two-person delivery team and
two internal managers.
«We sell spare parts for both Italian and foreign vehicles. We’re also able to rebuild parts that are no longer
in production and this has allowed us to develop supply contacts with all EU and non-EU countries. Our
specially dedicated software allows us to seek and find
spare parts from all makers, plus made-to-measure
parts», explains Maurizio Uguzzoni. Axles (fixed
and steering), suspensions, engines, clutches and
gearboxes, braking systems, silencers, tow bars «that
we can have delivered to garages and workshops in a
matter of just a few hours».
Relations between Sa-Ba and Roberto Nuti Spa extend beyond the purely professional: «Over the years
a rewarding relationship of friendship and mutual
esteem has come into being. That relationship is
strengthened by the quality of our work and their
products, especially shock absorbers and suspension
systems. In 2013 we hope to add the Group’s latest
products to our range: heads and tie-rods for steering
and suspension, torsion bars and replacement rubber
bushing kits».

per camion oltre le 3,5 tonnellate, con sede in Ungheria,
attivo dal 1997. La nostra attività è la fornitura di ricambi
di alta qualità e componenti originali ai rivenditori ungheresi. All’inizio ci rivolgevamo principalmente ai modelli Iveco. Attualmente il nostro magazzino offre i componenti dei marchi più rinomati, poiché la maggior parte
dei nostri fornitori e produttori ha ampliato la gamma di
modelli orientandosi verso i brand occidentali, quali Scania, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Daf, Man, ecc. Attualmente,
dei 700.000 prodotti disponibili nel nostro magazzino,
più di 4.000 sono componenti. A Szombathely, in Ungheria, 10 nostri dipendenti sono al lavoro allo sportello clienti (nettruck.hu) per l’evasione degli ordini via
telefono, fax, e-mail, o di persona. Facciamo del nostro
meglio per soddisfare le richieste della clientela nel più
breve tempo possibile o almeno nel corso della giornata.
I componenti non disponibili a magazzino vengono prelevati dal nostro deposito in Italia o richiesti ai costruttori

Szombathely. T-truck Ltd. is a wholesaler of parts
for trucks over 3,5 tons since 1997 established in
Hungary. Our core is to supply resellers contracted
in Hungary with high-quality replacement- or original parts.
Models of Iveco was the main profile in the beginning. For now the top running parts are presented
in our depot, just because most of our suppliers,
manufacturers expanded the range of models towards
the western types, such as Scania, Mercedes-Benz,
Volvo, Daf, Man, etc. Our stock is about 4,000 kind
of parts from our 700,000 product. On customer gate
(nettruck.hu) 10 employees of ours process the incoming orders per phone, fax, e-mail, or personally
in Szombathely/Hungary. We try to handle immediately or at least overday deliver for all of our kind
customers. Parts which aren't currently in stock, are
acqure from our depot in Italy or request from our
contracted manufacturers, distributors within 48
hours – which are deliver with our own parcel service
to our customers!
We have a special relationship with Roberto Nuti Spa
as we work together with them from the beginning
without any problem. When I started my business
my father's 75 Alfa Romeo was my office and warehouse together. But I reached nice success in short
time thanks for the good product with good quality,
service and competitive price.
Today we have our own totally with re-energy working truck shaped office and warehouse. Which help us
with its minimal costs to be able to supply our customers with competitive prices although in this critical times. Thank for Sabo and our loyal and trusty

La tua mansione attuale. lavoro all’Ufficio
commerciale estero e
opero sia per Sabo sia
per Mupo. In particolare seguo i clienti del
nord, centro ed est Europa per Sabo, mentre
per Mupo tutti i clienti esteri. Sono laureata in Lettonia,
il mio paese d’origine, in Business Administration. Parlo correttamente l’italiano, l’inglese, il russo e, chiaramente, il lettone
Cosa ne pensi di questo incarico. lavorare con i paesi
esteri è sempre stato il mio desiderio, quindi quando
sono stata assunta il mio sogno si è realizzato. Il mio
compito è gestire al meglio il cliente ed essere sempre
pronta a trovare una risposta e una soluzione alle sue
esigenze e ai suoi problemi. Mi piace molto quando ci
troviamo alle fiere, ove è possibile incontrare le persone
con cui parlo ogni giorno al telefono.
I tuoi hobby. Amo cucinare e sono un’appassionata
della cucina italiana e anche dei vini, non a caso sono
anche sommellier. Poi amo la montagna: trekking, ferrate, camminate con le ciaspole.
I gusti cinematografici. non ho un film preferito, ma
prediligo i gialli.
Il tuo libro preferito. mi piace leggere e ultimamente
ho molto gustato «Viaggio di un cuoco» di Anthony
Bourdain perché rispecchia il mio modo di essere.
I tuoi cantanti preferiti. ascolto un po’ di tutto, gli italiani Jovanotti e Vasco Rossi e la musica anni Ottanta.
La tua ricetta preferita. Non c’è un piatto particolare,
ma per me è importante la cura dell’abbinamento tra
cibo e vino.

How long have you
been working at Roberto Nuti Spa? Since
March 2010.
Your current duties? I
work in the foreign sales
office, for both Sabo and
Mupo. More specifically,
I follow Sabo customers
in North, Central and
Eastern Europe and all of
Mupo’s foreign customers. I graduated in Business Administration in my home country, Latvia. I also speak Italian, English, Russian and Latvian, of course, all fluently.
What do you think of your current position? I’ve always wanted to work with foreign countries, so getting a
job here was something of a dream come true. My main
duties consist of managing customers efficiently and always being ready to find an answer and a solution to their
needs and problems. I really enjoy attending trade fairs,
where I finally get the chance to meet the people I speak to
on the phone daily.
Your hobbies? I like cooking, especially Italian food and
wine; in fact, I’m a qualified sommellier. Then, of course, I
love the mountains: trekking, climbing and exploring the
winter landscape in my snow shoes.
Taste in cinema? I don’t really have a favourite film but
I’m fond of thrillers.
Your favourite book? I really enjoy reading and loved the
last book I read, «A Cook’s Tour» by Anthony Bourdain, as
it reflects my own outlook on life.
Your favourite singers? I listen to a bit of everything,
Italian artists such as Jovanotti and Vasco Rossi and the
music of the 1980s.
Your favourite recipe? There’s no one particular dish
that I’d call my favourite, but I do feel that the right foodwine match is important.
Any messages for the readers? Always face challenges
positively and enjoy everything life has to offer: it’s too
short to waste.
