suo 35° anniversario presentando a
VicenzaOro Winter un’importante novità: Silver+™, un trattamento nuovo
e rivoluzionario, implementato da Better Silver dopo approfondite ricerche.
Il trattamento è in grado di rallentare
fortemente la solforazione che tende
ad intaccare l’argento, permettendo
di mantenere inalterato il colore nel
tempo e assicurando quindi una vita
più lunga al gioiello in argento. Silver+™ non è una lega anti-tarnish,
bensì un trattamento galvanico passivante, che mantiene la lucentezza e
la brillantezza tipiche dell’argento senza alterarne la colorazione. Un prodotto

“speciale” ad un prezzo assolutamente
interessante. Nel corso delle prove di
laboratorio il risultato ottenuto dall’utilizzo di Silver+™ è stato positivo: test
accelerati che ricreano condizioni ambientali reali - luce, umidità, temperatura - hanno dimostrato che l’argento
trattato con Silver+™ ha una durata
50 volte superiore rispetto al prodotto
non trattato (foto in alto). I dati di laboratorio sono stati anche confermati
da prove empiriche effettuate in condizioni naturali. L’elemento innovativo
del trattamento Silver+™ è la possibilità, per gli operatori del settore, di
conservare gli articoli di Better Silver
in vetrina per tempi prolungati, senza
mutamenti di colore. Le proprietà del
prodotto in argento si mantengono
inalterate almeno fino a quando il gioiello non viene indossato: a quel punto,
infatti, intervengono i naturali fattori
di deterioramento (ad esempio, l’abrasione), che annullano le caratteristiche
del trattamento Silver+™.
■ In 2012 Better Silver celebrates its
35th anniversary by presenting an important innovation at VicenzaOro Winter: Silver+™, a revolutionary new
treatment, implemented by Better Silver
after extensive research. The treatment
is able to greatly slow down the sulfidation that tends to affect silver, allowing
to maintain the colour over time and
therefore ensuring longer life to the silver jewel. Silver+™ is not an antitarnish alloy, but a passivating galvanic
treatment, which maintains the typical
brilliance and brightness of silver without altering the colour. A "special" product at a remarkable price. The result
obtained from the use of Silver+™ during laboratory tests was positive. Accelerated tests that recreate real environmental conditions - light, moisture,
temperature - have shown that the
silver treated with Silver+™ lasts 50
times longer than an untreated product
(pictured above). Laboratory data were
also confirmed by empirical tests carried
out under natural conditions. The innovative feature of the Silver+™ treatment is the possibility for professionals
in the industry to keep Better Silver
items on display for extended periods,
without colour changes. The properties
of the silver product remain unchanged
at least until the jewel is worn, at which
point natural deterioration factors are
involved (for example, abrasion), eliminating the characteristics of the Silver+™ treatment.
