MESSAGE OF ISSF PRESIDENT AND ISSF SECRETARY GENERAL
On behalf of the International Shooting Sport Federation – ISSF – we offer a friendly welcome to all participants of the 2015 ISSF World Championship Shotgun
in Lonato, Italy from 9 to 18 September 2015.
We express our thanks and appreciation to the Federazione Italiana Tiro a Volo that they again organize a
separate Shotgun World Championship on the beautiful ranges at the “Trap Concaverde” Shooting Club
in Lonato D/Garda (Brescia), Italy. We are sure that
with their great experience and their dedication, these
World Championship will be another milestone of the
ISSF with a very high participation.
The shooting ranges in Lonato are well known to our
shotgun shooters worldwide and the ranges have
proofed to be excellent. The “Trap Concaverde” together with FITAV have again updated the ranges and
we are looking forward to exciting performances on
this beautiful range near the “Lago di Garda”. We are
sure that with their great expertise all officials, referees
and judges together with the Organizing Committee
will excellently prepare and conduct this Shotgun
World Championship and we all will be able to watch
exciting competitions on the highest level.
The people of the host country of Italy are well known
as shooting sport enthusiasts and they will greatly contribute to the success of this Shotgun World
Championship.
The ISSF will distribute again a total of 10 quota
places for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and we are
wishing all participants much success in fair competitions. We are confident that all athletes and officials
will return home with very fond memories of the
extraordinary hospitality of the Italian people and the
organizers, our friends from the Italian Federation, Tiro
a Volo under the leadership of Mr. Luciano Rossi. In rappresentanza dell International Shooting Sport

tutti i partecipanti dell’edizione 2015 del Campionato
Mondiale di tiro a volo, ospitato dall Italia dal 9 al 18
settembre.
Desideriamo ringraziare ed esprimere ancora una
volta il nostro apprezzamento per la Federazione
Italiana Tiro a Volo che ha organizzato il Campionato
Mondiale di Tiro a Volo nella bellissima cornice del
“Trap Concaverde” Shooting Club di Lonato D/Garda
(Brescia), Italia. Siamo certi che grazie all esperienza e
al impegno di tutto il personale, i Campionati Mondiali
di quest anno diventeranno un altro importante evento nella storia dell ISSF, caratterizzato da una grande
partecipazione.
L’impianto sportivo di Lonato é già ben noto ai tiratori di tutto il mondo ed i suoi campi di tiro hanno già
mostrato livelli di eccellenza.
Inoltre “Trap Concaverde” insieme con FITAV ha
ulteriormente migliorato i propri campi, ed ora siamo
più che mai ansiosi di assistere alle straordinarie performance dei tiratori in questa bellissima location nei
pressi del Lago di Garda. Siamo certi che con la loro
professionalità tutti gli ufficiali, i funzionari e i giudici,
insieme con il Comitato Organizzativo dell evento,
sapranno predisporre e condurre al meglio questo
Campionato Mondiale di Tiro a Volo e che tutti noi
avremo modo di assistere a gare entusiasmanti e di
altissimo livello.
Gli italiani sono noti per essere veri amanti di questa
disciplina sportiva e certamente questo entusiasmo
contribuirà al successo del Campionato Mondiale di
Tiro a Volo.
L’ISSF distribuirà come di consueto un totale di 10
Carte Olimpiche per i Giochi di Rio 2016 e per questo
auguriamo buona fortuna a tutti coloro che decideranno di partecipare a questa competizione. Tutti gli
atleti e gli ufficiali torneranno certamente in patria con

MESSAGE OF CONI PRESIDENT
On my own and on behalf of the Italian National Olympic Committee, I wish to address most sincere greetings to the organizers, the coaches and the athletes
participating at the World Shotgun Championship
scheduled in Lonato del Garda. This is a truly important chance of competitive match less than one year
away from the Olympic Games Rio 2016, last opportunity for european shooters to qualify for the Olympic
event in Brazil with the 10 Olympic quota places here
to be awarded. At the same time, a fantastic show of
the well-known organizing skills of our country, also
with a view to the upcoming international challenges, such as the bid for Rome 2024. This is a great
chance to promote the best profile of Italy, by any
standard. Clay target shooting represents one of the
strengths of our sport movement, a steady source of
certainties and medals: 9 gold, 8 silver and 8 bronze
medals are the honor list of this discipline. A worthy
business card witnessing the excellent quality of the
work carried out by FITAV. I am grateful to the Italian
Shooting Sport Federation and its President Luciano
Rossi for the values expressed and the effectiveness
in developing programmes, a key to the extraordinary
constancy in the outcomes thanks to the memorable
pages of history written by our champions. Living this
competition as centre of the world is a sign of reliability and expertise, best course for us to reach for new
triumphs built out of passion and values, righteous
standards to proudly gear towards the future. This
world championship shall honor new stars and shall
surely certify the tremendous talent of well-established champions through a spectacular and exciting
contest. I am certain that such an important event
shall gather and involve young people towards the
knowledge and discovery of this fantastic world, with
a show up to those expectations. I seize therefore this
opportunity to newly address to all participants, on
behalf of the Italian Sport movement, the most sincere welcome and encouragement, for an outstanding

occasione di confronto agonistico a meno di un anno
dai Giochi di Rio 2016, ultima opportunità per i tiratori

olimpiche a disposizione, e contestualmente una fantastica vetrina per confermare le riconosciute capacità
organizzative del nostro Paese, anche in vista delle

Roma 2024. Uno spot per promuovere il volto migliore dell’Italia, sotto ogni profilo. Il Tiro a Volo rappresenta una delle eccellenze del nostro movimento, una
cassaforte di certezze e di medaglie: 9 ori, 8 argenti

disciplina, un biglietto da visita capace di testimoniare
la bontà del lavoro portato avanti dalla FITAV.
Sono grato alla Federazione e al Presidente Luciano
Rossi per le capacità dimostrate in nome dello sviluppo del movimento, per la lungimiranza nelle scelte
e per l’efficace sviluppo dei programmi, che hanno
saputo dare una straordinaria continuità di risultati alimentando una tradizione che è diventata, nel tempo,
una scuola invidiabile, anche grazie alle eccezionali
pagine di storia scritte dai nostri campioni. Vivere
questo evento al centro del mondo è sinonimo di credibilità e di competenza, il miglior viatico per costruire
nuovi trionfi all’insegna della passione e delle qualità,
fornendo un esempio da proiettare con ambizione
verso il futuro. I Mondiali consacreranno nuove stelle
e certificheranno l’immenso talento dei fuoriclasse
già affermati, attraverso un confronto spettacolare ed
emozionante. Sono sicuro che un evento di tale importanza saprà avvicinare e coinvolgere i giovani alla
conoscenza e alla scoperta di questo fantastico mondo, regalando una rassegna all’altezza delle aspettative di tutti gli appassionati. L’occasione mi consente
quindi di rinnovare il saluto e il più sentito incoraggiamento dello sport italiano a tutti i partecipanti, con la
convinzione di poter applaudire una manifestazione di

MESSAGE OF FITAV PRESIDENT
Next year, in conjunction with the Olympic Games Rio
de Janeiro 2016, the Italian Shooting Sport Federation shall celebrate 90 years of sports activity. There
is absolutely no way to synthetically describe in a few
lines here the outstanding list of triumphs achieved in
competitions in these past nine decades of history. I
shall then just say that hosting teh 2015 World Championship is the best possible award, the most prestigious outcome that all ISSF member national shooting federations in the world could pay to us. We feel
honored for this challenge and proud to be able to
show that we are worth the confidence given to us by
the whole shooting world. Commitment and passion
will be the instruments we shall use to welcome in Lonato del Garda the representatives of the Federations
from the five continents and the athletes contributing
to make this 2015 edition of the world championship
the greatest shotgun shooting show closing up to
Rio. My gratitude goes to the ISSF President Olegario
Vazquez Raňa, to the Secretary General Franz Schreiber, to all key managers in Issf and, of course, to the
President of the Italian National Olympic Committee:
my friend Giovanni Malagò. The wealth of confidence and trust we can rely on today is the product
of commitment and thoroughness applied daily all
through these years, promoting and spreading the
culture of clay target shooting. This is the capital we
shall use - through the comprehensive action of the
Organizing Committee, jointly with the staff of the
Concaverde shooting club and the FITAV staff – to
grant the highest success to the world championship which shall be celebrated near the shores of the
Garda Lake. This challenging and exciting task will
be achieved also thanks to the historically renowed
culture of industriousness and hospitality typical of the
Brescia district – world homeland of the firearm top
producers – and of the Lombardia region, in general.
Our world event is however ideally joining the universal inspiration of the Expo Milan 2015 which, with its
150 participating countries, has been setting in the
past few months Italy under the spotlights in front of
the whole world.
In sport a competitive spirit is essential, yet also
important, maybe even more, come frendship and
brotherhood. For this reason our Federation decided
to invite to the world championship also the highest
representative of the shooting sports Federation of

doppierà la boa dei suoi novanta anni di vita. Neppure
un procedimento di rigorosa sintesi permetterebbe di

successi che abbiamo ottenuto in campo agonistico in questi nove decenni di storia. Mi limiterò a dire
allora che ospitare il Campionato del mondo del 2015
è davvero il premio migliore, il risultato più prestigioso,
che mai potessero attribuirci tutte le Federazioni del
pianeta che fanno capo all’Issf. Siamo onorati di questa responsabilità e oltremodo fieri di poter dimostrare
di aver meritato la fiducia di tutto il mondo del tiro a
volo. Impegno e passione saranno gli strumenti con
cui accoglieremo a Lonato del Garda i rappresentanti
delle Federazioni dei cinque continenti e tutti gli atleti
che vorranno concorrere a fare dell’edizione 2015
del Campionato del mondo delle discipline olimpiche il più grande spettacolo tiravolistico della fase di
avvicinamento ai Giochi di Rio. La mia gratitudine va
innanzitutto al Presidente dell’Issf Olegario Vazquez
Raňa, al Segretario Generale Franz Schreiber, a tutte
le più alte figure istituzionali dell’Issf e naturalmente al
Presidente del Comitato Olimpico Nazionale Italiano:
l’amico Giovanni Malagò. Il patrimonio di fiducia e di
stima che oggi raccogliamo è il frutto di comprovate
serietà e accuratezza profuse in questi anni nel lavoro
quotidiano di promozione e di diffusione del tiro a
volo: ed è di questi stessi elementi, attraverso l’operato prezioso del Comitato Organizzatore, dello staff
del Concaverde, dei dipendenti federali e dell’Organizzazione Territoriale che ci serviremo per assicurare
il successo della rassegna iridata in programma sulle
rive del Garda. Alla realizzazione di questa impegnativa ma stimolante impresa concorreranno anche le
tradizionali laboriosità e ospitalità del territorio bresciano - patria mondiale della produzione armiera - e della
Lombardia. Peraltro, la nostra rassegna mondiale
va idealmente ad affiancarsi a quell’afflato planetario di cui è informata Expo Milano 2015 che, con le
sue 150 nazioni presenti, già da mesi ha collocato la
realtà produttiva e culturale italiana sotto i riflettori del
mondo intero.
Nello sport è fondamentale lo spirito di competizione,
ma lo è altrettanto, se non di più, quello dell’amicizia
e della fratellanza. Per questo motivo la nostra Federazione ha ritenuto doveroso invitare alla rassegna
iridata di Lonato del Garda anche il massimo dirigente
della Federazione del Nepal: un paese e un popolo
duramente colpiti da note vicende tragiche. In questo
modo, a mio avviso, lo sport si traduce davvero in
uno strumento forte di solidarietà e di uguaglianza. Ed
è nel nome di questi valori, che ritengo incrollabili, che
auguro a tutti gli atleti di vivere una indimenticabile
esperienza agonistica sulle nostre pedane.

MESSAGE OF COUNCIL MEMBER OF SPORT AND YOUTH POLICY OF LOMBARDIA REGION
As regional Councillor for sport and youth, I give the
warmest welcome to all shooters and spectators of
this Shotgun World Championship that will bring to
our Garda Lake’s ranges some off the best players
from more than 80 countries worldwide.
An extraordinary event with great participation, not
only from our region but Also from the whole country.
And for this reason, I would live to thank the organization for having chosen “our” Trap Concaverde.
This facility, created by the initiative of four shooters,
experienced an incredible growth throughout the
years, than becoming the biggest shooting facility
worldwide, also called the “shooting university”.
A breathtaking structure laying on a 20 hectares landscape, in the very heart of Low Garda region, near to
all the most important cities and to the most wellknown weapons companies.
Such important events are crucial for the sport tourism which as to be seen as a common objective.
On one side we need to promote the territory, on the
other side we should offer to worldwide shooters great and beautiful ranges where they can compete and
enioy the beauty of our landscapes.
Expo 2015 is ongoing, as you know themed “Feed
the Planet, Energy for Life”, and sport is a powerful
source of energy for the well-being of our body and
mind. Complex disciplines like the shooting get us
used to be focused and balanced to search and shot
the target.
Only a perfect mix of precision, ability, technical skills
and enthusiasm will allow one to win and gain 10
Olympic papers for Rio 2016.
I wish all the luck to participants.
In qualità di Assessore regionale allo Sport e Politiche
per i giovani, desidero porgere il mio benvenuto a
tutti i partecipanti e agli spettatori del Campionato del
Mondo di Tiro a Volo, che porterà nell’impianto gardesano i migliori tiratori provenienti da oltre di 80 nazioni.
Un evento straordinario e di grande richiamo, non
solo per la nostra Regione ma per tutto il Paese. A
questo proposito, desidero ringraziare gli organizzatori
per la scelta ottimale del “nostro” Trap Concaverde.
Questa struttura, nata dall’idea di quattro amici tiratori, nel corso degli anni ha registrato un’incredibile
crescita, tanto da diventare l’impianto più grande al
mondo ed essere soprannominata dai tiratori “l’università del tiro”.
Un impianto straordinario che occupa una superficie
di circa venti ettari ed è situato nel cuore delle colline
moreniche del Basso Garda in posizione strategica
sia per la sua accessibilità sia per la vicinanza alle più
rinomate fabbriche di armi.
Manifestazioni come questa, vanno nella direzione del
turismo sportivo a cui auspico che si guardi come una
meta da raggiungere. Da una parte occorre valorizzare e promuovere il territorio, dall’altra fare in modo
che gli sportivi possano trovare delle grandi palestre
a cielo aperto dove competere e ammirare la bellezza
del nostro territorio.
Siamo in pieno periodo Expo 2015 il cui tema è
“Nutrire il Pianeta, energia per la vita”, lo sport è
una potente fonte di energia per il nostro benessere
psico-fisico e attività come il Tiro a Volo ci insegnano
l’attenzione e l’equilibrio, indispensabili per prendere
la mira e centrare il bersaglio.
Solo un mix ottimale di precisione, abilità, preparazione tecnica e grinta sportiva, permetteranno di vincere
e aggiudicarsi 10 carte Olimpiche per i Giochi di Rio
2016.

MESSAGE OF PRESIDENT OF BRESCIA PROVINCE
It’s with pleasure that I bring my greetings to the
World Championship of Shooting Range, which in
September will bring to our country the best shooters
in the world. We’re talking about a sport that requires
concentration, experience and passion.
This year, in addition to the races, which will put the
cards up for grabs for the Olympic Games Rio 2016,
there are many initiatives that will certainly amaze and
entertain the audience: I think the museum of Olympic torches, the two Air Show, one with the vintage
aircraft, one with the acrobatic team of the WE FLY
TEAM, composed of disabled drivers, I think the show
with acrobatic contortionists athletes, the World Village, with many stands at the disposal of public and
shooters; I consider very important conferences that
address topics of great interest, ranging from food to
protect the environment, not to mention reflections on
doping and safety than the use of arms.
E’ con piacere che porto il mio saluto al Campionato
del mondo di Tiro a Volo, che a settembre porterà sul
nostro territorio i migliori tiratori del pianeta. Stiamo
parlando di uno sport che richiede concentrazione,
esperienza e passione.
Quest’anno, oltre alle gare, che metteranno in palio
le carte olimpioniche per i Giochi di Rio 2016, sono
molte le iniziative che sapranno certo stupire e intrattenere il pubblico: penso alla mostra museo delle
fiaccole olimpiche, ai due Air Show, uno con i velivoli
d’epoca, uno con la pattuglia acrobatica del WE FLY
TEAM, composta da piloti disabili, penso allo spettacolo acrobatico con atleti contorsionisti, al Villaggio
Mondiale, con i numerosi stand a disposizione di
pubblico e tiratori; ritengo molto importanti i convegni
che affronteranno temi di sicuro interesse, spaziando
dall’alimentazione alla salvaguardia dell’ambiente,
senza tralasciare riflessioni sul doping e la sicurezza
rispetto all’utilizzo delle armi.
Brescia è una provincia nella quale la tradizione e la
passione per le armi trova radici molto lontane e profonde e la Concaverde di Lonato ospiterà, in questo
contesto, un evento che saprà valorizzare non solo
l’attività agonistica, con il Trap, la gara di Skeet maschile e femminile e quella di Double Trap, ma anche
quella industriale, dando luce al fiorente settore della
produzione di armi.
Al Campionato del Mondo di Tiro a Volo auguro il
successo che merita.

MESSAGE FROM MAYOR OF LONATO DEL GARDA
From the 9th to the 18th of September the city of Lonato del Garda will host again the World Championship of Skeet Shooting, which means great pleasure
to all of us.
An event dedicated to an olympic sport able to engage more and more people every year and that has,
traditionally, given great satisfaction to italian people.
Given that the Concaverde Trap is leader in the
number of fields and avant-guard of its facility, and
the experience that the organization have gained
since1990, we are proud that the Italian Federation
of Skeet Shooting gave us the honour of hosting the
World Championship.
I’m sure that the Shooters from all over the world and
their family which will arrive in Lonato del Garda for
the competition will find in our region an ideal location,
up to expectations, and I hope their stay could be
more than a chance to practice and enjoy sport, but
also an opportunity to benefit and experience the magnificence of our territory, from the suggestive Rocca
of Lonato and the amazing landscape of Garda Lake
to the excellence of local food and wine.
I take this opportunity to thank who decided to choose Lonato del Garda as location for the event and all
people who contributed to realize it at the best. Finally
I want to applaud all the shooters, actual witnesses
to the representation of sport as a real opportunity of
elevation.
Dal 9 al 18 settembre Lonato del Garda ospiterà nuovamente il Campionato del mondo di Tiro a volo ed è
per tutti noi motivo di grande soddisfazione.
Un evento dedicato ad una disciplina olimpica capace
di coinvolgere sempre più persone e che, tradizionalmente, ha sempre regalato soddisfazioni agli italiani.
Vista l’esperienza organizzativa maturata fin dal 1990,
e il livello di avanguardia degli impianti, che vedono
il Trap Concaverde primo al mondo quale numero di
campi, siamo onorati che la Federazione italiana Tiro
a volo abbia affidato a Lonato del Garda l’ospitalità
dei mondiali.
Sono certo che i tiratori provenienti da ciascuno dei
cinque Continenti e le loro famiglie, che giungeranno
a Lonato per la competizione, troveranno nella zona
del Garda un contesto ideale, all’altezza delle aspettative, e spero che il loro soggiorno, oltre ad essere
pretesto per praticare sport e divertirsi, possa essere
anche una bella occasione per conoscere meglio il
nostro territorio e i suoi luoghi più suggestivi, dalla
Rocca di Lonato ai paesaggi del lago di Garda passando dalle eccellenze enogastronomiche.

MESSAGE OF TRAP CONCAVERDE PRESIDENT
On behalf of the organizers committee, I give the
warmest welcome the all the shooters coming from
93 nations worldwide, who are all about to start this
World Championship.
I would like to thank the International Federation and
the Italian Federation for having chosen and entrusted
Trap Concaverde with this important competition that
will see the assignation of 10 Olimpic quota places for
Rio de Janeiro 2016.
Thank you to all the Nations and to all their shooters,
who allow us to set a new record of participation,
thus showing to the world how deep is the Italian
passion for this wonderful sport.
A deserved Thank you is also for the companies and
ithe nstitutions involved, which supported the making
of a manifestation which is rich of entertainment and
collateral events, such as the Convention on Nutrition
linked themes, on Environment and on the Safety of
weapons’ movimentation and on Doping, which will
host national and international experts.
One special acknowledgement is for Regione Lombardia who brought Expo 2015 into our sport facilty.
It’ll be an emotion and an opportunity for all athletes,
to directly see the Shotgun Field and the Olympic
Torches Exibition from the first one of Berlin 1936 to
the last one of Sochi 2014.
I’m convinced that the great commitment, the hard
work and the enthusiasm of the Organizers Commitee, of Judges and of all the protagonists of this World Championship will turn this event into something
we will never forget.

Ringrazio la Federazione Internazionale e la Federazione Italiana per avere scelto ed affidato al Trap Concaverde questa importante competizione durante la
quale si assegneranno 10 carte olimpiche per l’accesso ai prossimi giochi di Rio de Janeiro 2016.
Un grazie alle Nazioni partecipanti e a tutti i loro atleti
che hanno permesso di raggiungere un nuovo record
di presenze dimostrando al Mondo quanto l’Italia ami
il nostro meraviglioso sport.
Un doveroso ringraziamento a tutte le aziende presenti, alle istituzioni, che hanno supportato l’organizzazione di una manifestazione ricca di spettacoli ed
eventi collaterali, tra cui un Convegno sulle tematiche
dell’Alimentazione, della Salvaguardia Ambientale,
della Sicurezza della Movimentazione delle Armi e del
Doping, al quale porteranno il loro contributo i massimi esperti nazionali ed internazionali.
Uno speciale riconoscimento va alla Regione Lombardia che ha permesso l’eccezionale presenza di
Expo2015 sul nostro impianto sportivo.
Sarà, un’emozione ed una opportunità per tutti gli
sportivi, poter ammirare direttamente sul Campo di
Tiro, la mostra delle Torce Olimpiche dalla prima di
