THE PLATONIC TEXTUAL TRADITION: A BIBLIOGRAPHY This bibliography was begun haphazardly as a by-product of my own research. Later I decided to compile it on a more systematic basis in the hope that it would be useful to others who are working on the Platonic textual tradition and that it might promote study in this field. It makes no claim to being complete; additions, corrections and suggestions are therefore welcome ([email protected]). • • • • Abbreviations of periodicals are generally those used in L’Année philologique. Abbreviations of Platonic works are those given in LSJ. I identify editiones principes of papyri at the end of relevant entries by citing in parentheses the papyrus catalogue no. and the Platonic text which the papyrus contains. Editions of Platonis opera omnia which made original contributions to our knowledge of the textual tradition (Bekker, Stallbaum, Hermann, Schanz etc.) are cited, but only basic bibliographical information is given. ©Mark Joyal (22 June 2011) CATALOGUES, INDEXES AND LISTS Brumbaugh, R.S., R.
