1.1 Introduzione
Nel piano di potenziamento dei sistemi dell'Università Telematica Internazionale UNINETTUNO, a
partire dal 15 Settembre 2008 tutti gli studenti dell’Università avranno una casella di posta
elettronica.
Il nuovo indirizzo di posta elettronica avrà la forma:
[email protected]
Questo indirizzo sarà utilizzato per tutte le comunicazioni con l’Università e sarà inserito all’interno
del Cyberspazio Didattico.
La casella di posta ha una dimensione di 5 GB ed i messaggi non contengono banner pubblicitari.
Di seguito alcune informazioni utili per il primo accesso.
L’indirizzo internet di connessione,
http://students.uninettunouniversity.net/
potrà essere utilizzato per accedere alla posta via web, occorrerà però effettuare alcuni semplici
passi di attivazione, effettuati i quali potranno essere utilizzate appieno le funzionalità della posta
elettronica.
Vi premettiamo che effettuata la prima attivazione (i cui passi sono di seguito elencati) sarà
possibile accedere alla guida di tutti i servizi accedendo al link “Guida” posto in alto a destra delle
varie schermate.
1.2 Prima attivazione
Per effettuare la prima attivazione compiere i seguenti passi:

All’ accesso apparirà la pagina di login:
Inserire il proprio Nome utente e la relativa Password, ricevute tramite email sul proprio
indirizzo privato, fare clik su Accedi.

si passerà alla pagina di attivazione:
dove occorre ridigitare nell’apposito campo le lettere di controllo (che appaiono deformate) ed
accettare facendo click sul tasto “Accetto. Crea il mio account”.
A questo punto avete terminato e la casella di posta è attiva.

1.3 Configurazione client di posta
Successivamente, per chi desidera utilizzare un client di posta locale tipo MsOutlook, Firefox,
Eudora ecc. occorre attivare l'accesso pop e imap nel seguente modo:
Partendo dalla schermata iniziale:

Eseguire i passi seguenti:
1 - cliccare sul link "Impostazioni" in alto a destra, si aprirà la schermata seguente:
2 - scegliere la sezione "Inoltro e POP/IMAP"
3 - selezionare "Attiva POP per tutti i messaggi" e/o "Attiva IMAP"
4 - Cliccare su “Salva modifiche”
E’ possibile a questo punto procedere alla configurazione locale. Facendo riferimento alla
schermata precedente ai link “Istruzioni per la configurazione” è possibile trovare le guide per i
più diffusi client di posta.
I parametri smtp, pop e imap da utilizzare sono rispettivamente:
smtp.uninettunouniversity.net
pop.uninettunouniversity.net
imap.uninettunounversity.net
Come indicato nelle Istruzioni, ricordarsi di impostare:
- SMTP: autenticazione del server necessaria;
- SMTP, POP3, IMAP: server necessita di una connessione protetta (SSL)

2.1 Introduction
Inline with the plan of enhancing the systems of the International Telematic University
UNINETTUNO, all the students of the University will have an email account from September 15
2008.
The email account will have the format:
[email protected]
This email account will be used for all the communications with the University and it will be
inserted in the Didactic Cyberspace.
The email account will have a size of 5 GB and the email message will not contain advertising.
It will be possible to access the email via web at the address:
http://students.uninettunouniversity.net/
It will be necessary to follow few simple steps to activate the account the first time.
After the activation all the email functionalities will be available.
The guide to all the functionalities is available at the link Help, top right on the different windows.
2.2 First access
To complete the activation do the following steps:

When you access the system you will have the login page:
Insert the proper Username and Password that you have received on your private email
account then click on Sign in.

Then you get the activation page:
on this page it is necessary to digit the control code (the characters that are deformed) that you
see in the picture, then click on “I accept. Create my account”.
At this point your email account is available.

2.3 Setting email client
Users that prefer an email client program as MsOutlook, Firefox, Eudora etc. need to activate the
pop or imap access as described below.
From the starting window:

Follow the steps:
1 – click on the link "Settings", top right, and you will have following window:
2 – choose the section "Forwarding and POP/IMAP"
3 - select "Enable POP for all mail" and/or "Enable IMAP"
4 – click on “Save Changes”.
At this point it is possible to proceed with the local configuration of the email client program (if not
done already). Click on the link “Configuration instructions” it is possible to find the guide to the
most popular email clients.
The settings for the smtp, pop and imap servers are respectively:

pop.uninettunouniversity.net
imap.uninettunounversity.net
As detailed in the Guide, please remember the following settings:
- Outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication;
- SMTP, POP3, IMAP: this server requires an encrypted connection (SSL).
