Rules which govern the accession to the “European Association of Materials Surface Science and
Technology” (EMASST)
The members are divided in:
a) ORDINARY Members
b) STUDENTS Members
c) WORTHY Members
They can be:
 Ordinary Members European Union citizens who have specific expertise or interest in following the
activities and studies related to the purposes of the Association. Ordinary members can be
Associations, Society, Institutions, Industries, Research Centres and Italian universities belonging to
the European Union with an interest for the purposes of the Association. They will have to appoint a
representative.
 European Union Students Members who attend university courses, graduate schools, PHD courses
within the European Community.
 Worthy Members Italian or belonging to the European Community persons or entities who have
acquired special merits towards the Association with activities or donations. They can also members
that have been distinguished for outstanding works in the field of science and technology of
material surfaces and their modification in various sectors of industry.
All members have the right to:
a) membership card (for individuals) or plate of belonging (for Organizations);
b) include information on the website of the Association;
c) special facilities to participate in the activities and events such as conferences organized by the
Association and for the purchase of books published by the Association;
d) to have free access to the publications of the Association;
e) the consultation of the collections of information, data, etc.., organized by the Association.
To become a member it needs fill in the registration form and send it with a copy of the payment to the
