Bilan de la 1ère journée de compétitions
Le Maroc à l’honneur avec la victoire de Abdelkebir Ouaddar dans
le Prix Midway Labs USA, compétition phare de la journée !
C'est aujourd'hui que les premières épreuves du Longines Athina Onassis Horse Show ont
débuté sous le soleil éclatant de la Presqu'île de Saint-Tropez. !
Le CSI2* a inauguré ce matin, à 9h30, la piste du Longines Athina Onassis Horse Show
installé à quelques mètres de la célèbre plage de Pampelonne. Sur les 44 couples au départ
de cette première compétition, c'est Bibiane Beerens (Hollande), avec Carius Z qui a
remporté le prix de l'Hôtel Byblos.
CSI2*: Victoire pour la Belgique avec Ines Van den Bosch et U2 dans l'épreuve à
1,25m pour le Prix Nioulargo.
CSI2*: Le Canada s’im pose avec la victoire de Nicole W alker et Deko de
Landetta Z dans l'épreuve à 1,40 m pour le Prix Bagatelle. A noter : la belle
performance de Guillaume Canet avec sa jument Babèche qui se classe en 6ème position.
Le CSI5*: deux com pétitions
Les stars du saut d'obstacles avaient rendez-vous à 16h00 pour disputer le premier rendezvous du CSI 5*, le plus haut niveau de compétition du Longines Athina Onassis Horse Show.
Alors que Julien Epaillard avait été nommé le Prince de Ramatuelle en 2014, cette année le
Prix de la Ville de Ramatuelle a été remporté par le Brésilien Pédro Veniss (Rissoa d’Ag Bois
Margot).
Dernière compétition de la journée, le Prix M idway Labs USA à 18h15 était l'un des
moments attendus de ce jeudi: 38 couples parmi les meilleurs du monde ont pris le départ
avec un barrage pour départager les concurrents sans faute. Le tracé, dessiné par les chefs

de piste Guilherme Jorge et Luc Musette, était composé de 12 obstacles, dont 1 triple et 1
double, d'une hauteur de 1,50m.
15 couples, dont 3 français Simon Delestre (Qlassic Bois Margot), Timothée Anciaume
(Olympique Libellule) et Patrice Delaveau (Lacrimoso 3 HDC) sont en effet parvenus à
boucler leurs parcours sans faute et ainsi accéder au barrage.
Dernier cavalier à prendre le départ du barrage, Abdelkebir Ouadar (Quickly de Kreisker)
abaisse le chronomètre en dessous des 36 secondes et s’empare de l’épreuve. Le brésilien
Marlon Modolo Zanotelli (Zerlin M) se contente de la deuxième place. Le français Patrice
Delaveau (Lacrimoso 3 HDC) complète le podium.
Ce qu’ils ont dit :
« C’est un honneur d’avoir remporté cette épreuve surtout devant un concurrent tel que
Patrice Delaveau, le tenant du titre du Grand Prix Longines de l’année dernière. Mon cheval
a été formidable et comme d’habitude très rapide » commente Abdlkebir Ouadar ;
Pour Marlon Modolo « Je suis très content de Zerlin, c’est un cheval formidable, je ne me
rappelle pas la dernière fois qu’il a fait une barre » ;
Patrice Delaveau rajoute quant à lui « Le niveau est tellement élevé que ce n’est jamais
gagné d’avance. Le prix Midway Labs USA est une bonne préparation pour le Grand Prix de
samedi, j’envisage d’ailleurs de m’engager avec Lacrimoso ».

Dès sa première édition en 2007, le Athina Onassis Horse Show s’est imposé comme la plus grande compétition
internationale de saut d’obstacles organisée au Brésil.
Labellisé 5 étoiles (CSI 5*), gage d’excellence et de performances sportives, cet évènement est orchestré par le
cavalier brésilien Alvaro Affonso de Miranda Neto, surnommé « Doda ». Avec son épouse, Athina Onassis, à qui il
rend hommage en baptisant le concours à son nom, Doda installe le CSI 5* à Sao Paulo pendant 2 ans. Après Rio
de Janeiro, en 2009, le Longines Athina Onassis Horse Show s’installe en France en 2014, sur la magnifique plage
de Pampelonne, associée à la plus célèbre jet-set internationale et au "Mythe de Saint-Tropez".
Du 4 au 6 juin 2015, le Longines Athina Onassis Horse Show proposera 2 concours de niveaux différents pour une
dotation globale de 561 000 euros. Les meilleurs couples cavaliers / chevaux de la planète rivaliseront dans les 5
épreuves du CSI 5*, toutes comptant pour le classement mondial Longines, dont le Longines Grand Prix doté de
300 000 euros (samedi 6 juin, 18h15). Les 9 épreuves du CSI 2* seront réservées aux cavaliers amateurs. Au total,
une soixantaine de cavaliers et près de 120 chevaux sont attendus, représentant plus d’une vingtaine de nations.

Results for the 1stday of competitions
Honor goes to Morocco with Abdelkebir Ouaddar winning the Prix
Midway Labs USA, the day's leading competition!
Today was the first day of the Longines Athina Onassis Horse Show competitions with events
starting under the bright sun over the Saint-Tropez peninsula. !
The CSI2* opened the event this m orning at 9:30AM , in the Longines Athina
Onassis Horse Show arena set up a few meters from the legendary Pampelonne beach.
There were 44 pairs competing in the event with Bibiane Beerens (Holland) on Carius Z
winning the Prix Hôtel Byblos.
CSI2*: victory for Belgium with Ines Van den Bosch and U2 in the 1.25m event for
the Prix Nioulargo.
CSI2*: Canada cam e out victorious with Nicole W alker on Deko de Landetta Z
in the 1.40 m event for the Prix Bagatelle. Note: Guillaume Canet's fine performance
with his mare, Bbèche, who came in 6th.
The CSI5*: two com petitions
The stars of show jumping met at 4PM to compete for the first event in the CSI5*, the highest
level of competition in the Longines Athina Onassis Horse Show. Although Julien Epaillard
was named Prince de Ramatuelle in 2014, this year's winner for the Prix de la Ville de
Ramatuelle is Pédro Veniss from Brazil (Rissoa d’Ag Bois Margot).
The day's last competition, the Prix Midway Labs USA at 6:15PM was one of Thursday's
highlights: 38 of the world's best pairs competed with an obstacle to separate riders with no
time errors. The course, designed by chiefs of the course, Guilherme Jorge and Luc Musette,
was composed of 10 obstacles, including 1 triple and 1 double at a height of 1.50m.

15 pairs, including 3 from France, Simon Delestre (Qlassic Bois Margot), Timothée Anciaume
(Olympique Libellule) and Patrice Delaveau (Lacrimoso 3 HDC) were able to achieve a
faultless course and went on to the obstacle.
The last rider to participate in the obstacle, Abdelkebir Ouaddar (Quickly de Kreisker)
dropped the chronometer below 36 seconds and took the competition. Brazilian, Marlon
Modolo Zanotelli (Zerlin M) had to settle for second place. Parice Delaveau, from France,
(Lacrimoso 3 HDC) completes the podium.
What they said:
"It's an honor to have won this event, especially with a competitor like Patrice Delaveau, last
year's title champion of the Grand Prix Longines. My horse was wonderful and as usual, very
fast," commented Abdelkebir Ouoadar about the title;
Marlon Modolo said, "I am very happy with Zerlin, it's a wonderful horse, I can't remember
the last time he took a bar down;"
Patrice Delaveau adds that for him," The level is so high that it is never won in advance. The
Prix Midway Labs USA is good preparation for the Grand Prix on Saturday, and I plan to
participate with Lacrimoso."

ABOUT THE LONGINES ATHINA ONASSIS HORSE SHOW
Starting with the first edition in 2007, the Athina Onassis Horse Show was recognized as the most important
international jumping competition in Brazil.
The event is labeled 5-stars (csi5*), a pledge of excellence and athletic performance, and is organized by the
Brazilian rider Alvaro Affonso de Miranda Neto, known as "Doda". Along with his wife, Athina Onassis, to whom
he paid tribute by giving her name to the competition, Doda organized the CSI5* in Sao Paulo for 2 years. After

Rio de Janeiro in 2009, the Longines Athina Onassis Horse Show moved to France in 2014, to the beautiful
Pampelonne Beach, associated with international jet-setters and the "Saint-Tropez Legend".
From June 4 to 6, 2015, the Longines Athina Onassis Horse Show will feature two different levels of competition
for a total of € 561,000 in prize money. The world's best riders / horses will compete in the 5 classes of the CSI5*,
all valid for the Longines ranking, including the Longines Grand Prix with € 300,000 in prize money (Saturday, June
6th, 6:00PM). 9 classes will be dedicated to amateur riders competing in the CSI2*. A total of sixty riders and
nearly 120 horses are expected, representing more than twenty countries.

Bilancio della prima giornata di gare
Il Marocco nel gradino più alto del podio con la vittoria di
Abdelkebir Ouaddar nel Premio Midway Labs USA, gara più
importante della giornata!
Oggi le prime gare del Longines Athina Onassis Horse Show si sono svolte sotto il sole
abbagliante della penisola di Saint-Tropez.!
Il CSI2* ha inaugurato la gara questa m attina, alle 9:30, sul campo gara del
Longines Athina Onassis Horse Show che si svolge a pochi passi dalla celeberrima Plage de
Pampelonne. Tra i 44 binomi al via in questa prima gara è stata Bibiane Beerens (Olanda) su
Carius Z ad aggiudicarsi il premio intitolato all'Hotel Byblos.
CSI2*: vittoria per il Belgio con Ines Van den Bosch e U2 nella gara 1,25 m, Premio
Nioulargo.
CSI2*: il Canada s’impone con la vittoria di Nicole W alker e Deko de Landetta
Z nella prova 1,40 m, Premio Bagatelle. Da segnalare anche la bellissima performance
di Guillaume Canet ela sua giumenta che si sono classificati al 6° posto.
Il CSI5*: due categorie
Le star del salto ostacoli si erano dati appuntamento alle 16:00 per disputare la prima gara
del CSI5*, il più alto livello di competizione del Longines Athina Onassis Horse Show. Mentre
Julien Epaillard era stato incoronato Principe di Ramatuelle nel 2014, quest’anno il Premio
della Città di Ramatuelle è andato al brasiliano Pédro Veniss (Rissoa d’Ag Bois Margot).
Ultima categoria della giornata, il Prem io M idway Labs USA alle 18:15 era uno dei
momenti più attesi di questo giovedì: 38 binomi tra i migliori al mondo sono partiti in questa
gara a barrage che avrebbe dato accesso al secondo giro ai concorrenti senza errori. Il

percorso, disegnato dagli Chef de Piste Guilherme Jorge e Luc Musette, si componeva di 12
ostacoli, tra cui una triplice e una gabbia, di altezza 1,50 m.
15 binomi, tra cui i francesi Simon Delestre (Qlassic Bois Margot), Timothée Anciaume
(Olympique Libellule) e Patrice Delaveau (Lacrimoso 3 HDC) sono riusciti a terminare il primo
giro senza errori e hanno così avuto accesso al barrage.
Ultimo cavaliere a partire in barrage, Abdelkebir Ouadar (Quickly de Kreisker) ha lasciato il
cronometro sotto i 36 secondi e si è imposto nella prova. Il brasiliano Marlon Modolo
Zanotelli (Zerlin M) si è accontentato del secondo posto. Il francese Patrice Delaveau
(Lacrimoso 3 HDC) ha completato il podio.
Ecco cosa hanno detto:
“È un onore aver vinto questa prova, soprattutto davanti ad un cavaliere come Patrice
Delaveau, il detentore del titolo del Gran Premio Longines dello scorso anno. Il mio cavallo è
stato super, e come sempre velocissimo” ha commentato AbdlkebirOuadar;
Mentre Marlon Modolo ha detto “Sono molto contento di Zerlin, è un cavallo formidabile,
non mi ricordo neanche l’ultima volta che ha fatto errore”;
Patrice Delaveau aggiunge “Il livello è talmente alto che non si può mai essere sicuri di
vincere. Il Premio Midway Labs USA è un’ottima preparazione per il Gran Premio di sabato,
dove credo monterò Lacrimoso”.

dotazione complessiva di 561.000 €. I migliori binomi del pianeta si daranno del filo da torcere nelle 5 prove del
CSI5*, tutte valide per l’acquisizione del punteggio ai fini del ranking mondiale Longines, tra cui il Longines
Grand Prix dotato di 300.000 € (sabato 6 giugno, ore 18:00). Le 9 prove del CSI2* saranno riservate ai cavalieri
amatori. In totale sono attesi una sessantina di cavalieri e circa 120 cavalli, a rappresentare più di una ventina di
nazioni.
