Dissertation abstract: In this thesis work will be developed a Machine Condition Monitor-ing system applied to the maintenance of
automatic machinery; particularly to the monitoring and diagnostics of roller/ball bear-ing elements. For doing this, it will be
developed the hardware and the firmware integrating all the algorithms and devices needed to acquire, process and transmit the
information of interest. This in-formation is the pattern and amplitude of the vibration produced by the monitored element
processed with the envelope analysis al-gorithm which represent its operative condition used to determine the maintenance action
needed.
