Plant for sorting and treating the so-called “noble fractions” still present in the “non-recyclable dry fraction”
coming from separated waste collection.
The advantages offered by this type of plant are as follows:
• reduction in the weight and volume of waste to be taken to the landfill;
• recovery of recyclable materials for transfer to the consortium chain members or to the recycling
companies.
The benefits related to the creation of this type of plant are:
• longer life of the landfill to which the untreated material would have been sent directly;
• saving on waste management costs and therefore a proportional reduction in the service costs charged
to citizens.
