PRESSED 3 TIMES
To guarantee perfect compacting of the raw material,
the body is pressed 3 times in sequence and at a
maximum force of 6200 tons.
FIRED FOR OVER 90 MINUTES AT A
TEMPERATURE OF UP TO 1230° C
Only a firing cycle that is twice as long as the
average cycle for conventional 10 mm thick porcelain
stoneware and high temperatures can allow for
perfect vitrification of the body. This results in
resistance and surfaces that resist time and wear.

Thanks to silver-based, integrated antibacterial
technology, Cotto d'Este tiles are protected by an
innovative antibacterial shield that eliminates up to
99.9% of bacteria and is non-toxic and totally safe.
Protection that resists wear, weather and repeated

ceramic products, the surface of 14 mm thick
tiles has an excellent resistance to impact, as
certified by tests performed in compliance
with CSTB standards.

Average resistance to breaking loads of 14
mm thick porcelain stoneware is considerably
higher than that of conventional 10 mm
thick products, as demonstrated by tests
performed in compliance with the ISO 105454 standard.

Even the largest sizes, such as the 120x60
cm and the 90x90 cm, have a flatness that is
almost perfect, as certified by tests performed
in accordance to the ISO-10545-2 standard.
