 input-output analysis (inventory functions; industrial concentration and prices)
 aggregate consumption (life-cycle, wealth effects), expenditure models (price-cross-income elasticities)
Since 1997 the main research area is health economics, with particular reference to quantitative empirical applications.
In details:
1. quantitative analysis of the productive process of healthcare delivery and of clinical pathways
2. socioeconomic conditions and health status
3. prioritisation and equity issues (waiting list, resource allocation)
4. efficiency and quality in hospital healthcare delivery, mainly referred to surgical facilities
5. efficiency and quality in extra hospital healthcare delivery, especially nursing homes and home care
