Settimana Santa
DOMENICA DELLE PALME: Così entriamo nell’ultima tappa
del nostro cammino quaresimale verso la Pasqua.
Viviamo con fede gli avvemimenti della Vita del Signore
nei suoi ultimi momenti. Partecipiamo con fede e
devozione alle celebrazioni più solenni dell’anno.
Disponiamoci a far Pasqua davvero.
“Gli rispose: Pietro, io ti dico: Non canterà oggi il gallo
prima che tu per tre volte avrai negato di conoscermi”.
Che questa settimana santa possiamo riffletere su quante
volte neggiamo di conosce Gesù Cristo.
Lunedì: A Betania, Gesù viene unto da Maria con olio
perfumato. È stata perdonata e la sua amicizia divvenne
profezia.
La Messa del Crisma sarà Mercoledí Santo in
Cattedrale alle 5:00pm. Ci sarà la Benedizione degli Olii e
la Rinnovazione delle Promesse Sacerdotali. Tutti sono
benvenuti.
Martedì & Mercoledì: Tra i discepoli uno trasdisce:
non ha capito il mistero di Gesù: la sua povertà, il suo
amore, la vita della croce.
Giovedì: Lavatevi, Fate questo e Amatevi sono i
commandamenti di Gesù che dichiarano l’imperativo del
amore l’Instituzione della Eucarestia e del Sacerdozio. Nel
ringraziare, mangare il pane della vita e bevere il calice
della salvezza, il Cristo fa di noi una communità di amore
e servizio.
Venerdì:
Stranamente
è
propio
nell’umiliazione della croce che Gesù è
esaltato, il Padre è glorificato, e il
mondo è redento.
La Tradizionale Via Crucis Vivente
per le strade attorno alla chiesa sarà il Venerdí Santo alle
11:00am. Il Venerdi Santo è giorno di digiuno (per coloro
che sono tra i 18 e 60 anni) e di Astinenza dalla carne
(per tutti coloro che hanno compiuto 14 anni).
Sabato Santo & Domenica di Pasqua: Il sepolcro è
vuoto perchè Cristo ha vinto la morte! Alleluia

Announcements
A Second Collection is taken up today for Flowers to
decorate our altar and church at Easter. Be generous.
HOLY WEEK
PALM SUNDAY: Today we enter Holy Week, the last days of
our journey towards Easter. It opens with great joy: crowds
acclaim Christ as king. Day by day, we will live the unfolding
events of Jesus’ last days: his Passion and Death. Let us
accompany Jesus with faith and devotion in all Holy Week
solemn celebrations.
“I tell you, Peter, before the cock crows this day, you will
deny three times that you know me” (Luke 22:34) This Holy
Week let us reflect upon how often we deny that we know
Jesus by the ways that we decide to use our time, our talent
and our treasure.
Monday : In Bethany, Jesus is anointed by Mary with
perfumed oil. Her sins are forgiven and her friendship
becomes a prophecy.
Tuesday & Wednesday : The mood of Holy Week
changes. One of Jesus disciples betrays him .
Chrism Mass: in Holy Rosary Cathedral on Wednesday
at 5:00 pm. The Archbishop will bless the Oils and all the
Priests will renew their priestly promises. Everyone is
welcome.
Holy Thursday: Wash, Do this and Love one another
refer to the Commandment of Love, the Institution of the
Eucharist and Priesthood. As we gather to give thanks, to
eat the bread of life and drink the cup of salvation, Christ
make of us a community of mutual love and service.
On this day, there is the Presentation of the Blessed
Oils, the Washing of the Apostles’ Feet, the Reposition of
the Blessed Sacrament and Adoration until Midnight.
Good Friday: Jesus bridges the chasm between God and
man to forgive our sins and reconciles us to our merciful
Father. The Christ we encounter today in word and
sacrament is the glorious Christ of Easter.
On this day, there is a Live Presentation of the Stations
of the Cross on the streets around the church. Liturgy of the
Passion, Veneration of the Cross, Holy Communion.
Reminders: Good Friday is a day of Fasting (for those
between the age of 18 and 60) and of Abstinence from
meat (for those over 14 years of age). -A general
rehearsal for all groups acting on the stations is held
Sunday, March 24th at 3 pm in the Gym.

opening the gates of Heaven. He is Lord,
and calls us to surrender ourselves to

Domingo de Ramos: Recordamos la entrada triunfal de
Jesús en Jerusalem; un rey humilde y decidido a servir, que
dona su vida para salvarnos.
Jueves Santo: Lávense, Hagan esto y Ámense se
refieren al Mandato del Amor, la Institución de la Eucaristía
y del Sacerdocio. En este día damos gracias al partir el pan
de vida y beber la copa de la salvación. Cristo nos
transforma en comunidad de servicio y amor mutuo.
En este día, tendremos el lavatorio de los pies, la
Procesión con el Santísimo Sacramento y la Adoración.
Viernes Santo: Jesús es el puente que
une a Dios con el hombre, que perdona
nuestros pecados y nos reconcilia con el
Padre Misericordioso. El Cristo que
escuchamos proclamado y recibimos en
sacramento es también el Resucitado.
Via Crucis: En este día, acompañemos a Jesús que va
camino al Calvario, para salvarnos. Luego, tendremos la
Liturgia de la Pasión, la Adoración de la Cruz y la
distribución de la Comunión.
- Recuerda que es Día de Ayuno (para los que tienen
entre 18 y 60 años) y Abstinencia de la Carne (para los
que ya cumplieron 14 años).
Vigilia Pascual & Domingo de Resurrección:
Jesucristo resucitó: venció a la muerte y abrió las puertas
del cielo. Él es el Señor y nos invita a seguirlo!
