Materials: the AP series is perfect for installations which deal with
thermoplastic materials, such as PE, PP, ABS, PET, PS, etc. It was
designed in order to meet requirements of extrusion installations for
film, rafia, mono-filaments, bioriented, plate, etc.
State of materials: very suitable for the processing of non
excessively polluted materials to which it guarantees a distinctive
purity and uniformity.
Materiali: la serie AP è perfetta per impianti di trattamento di
materiali termoplastici come PE, PP, ABS, PET, PS, etc. Nasce
per rispondere alle esigenze di impianti di estrusione per film,
rafia, monofilamenti, biorientati, lastra, etc.
Stato dei materiali: molto indicato per la lavorazione di materiali
non eccessivamente inquinati, ai quali garantisce una particolare

Special attention was given to the reduction of the overall
dimensions.
For this reason, the AP series can now be easily positioned, even
on pre-existing lines and in limited spaces.

linee pre-esistenti e con spazi limitati.
SELF CLEANING OF THE FILTER:
L’AUTOPULIZIA DEL FILTRO
The cleaning takes place in one filtering unit at a time.
Therefore the machined product can continue to flow in the second
filter guaranteeing an interrupted production.
(1) When one of the two filters must be cleaned, the operator shuts
one of the two inlet valves so that the whole flow of material is
channelled towards the second unit.
(2) At the same time this device turns an outlet valve to let a part
of the flow of material go towards the filter and it also opens the
filter escape valve. The pressure exerted by the same flow of
melted material, pushes all the impurities towards the outside
until the filtering unit is perfectly clean.
The self-cleaning of the filter significantly prolongs the life of the
screens and means that replacement only takes place when
they are completely obstructed.
La pulizia avviene su una sola unita filtrante alla volta. Così il
materiale lavorato può continuare a scorrere nel secondo filtro e
garantire una produzione ininterrotta.
(1) Quando uno dei due filtri deve essere ripulito, l’operatore chiude
una delle due valvole di ingresso, in modo che tutto il flusso di
materiale si diriga verso la seconda unità.
(2) Contemporaneamente ruota una valvola di uscita per lasciar
andare una parte del flusso di materiale verso il filtro e apre
anche le valvole di spurgo del filtro. La pressione esercitata
dallo stesso flusso del materiale fuso, spinge all’esterno tutte le
impurità fino alla perfetta pulizia dell’unità filtrante.
L’autopulizia del filtro prolunga enormemente la durata delle reti e fa
sì che la sostituzione avvenga solo quando sono totalmente ostruite.

REPLACEMENT OF THE FILTERING SCREEN
DURING THE PRODUCTION
LA SOSTITUZIONE DI RETI FILTRANTI
DURANTE LA PRODUZIONE
The replacement of the screens is also an easy procedure which
does not interrupt the production process.
The valves which take the flow to the unit are simply shut until the
replacement has taken place (3), while the filtering carries on in the
second cartridge.
Then the material is allowed to flow to the filtering unit in order
to eliminate internal air residues (4), and soon after the filtering
process is ready to start again in both channels
Anche sostituire le reti è un processo elementare, che non
interrompe il processo produttivo.
Semplicemente vengono chiuse le valvole che portano il flusso
all’unità fino a sostituzione avvenuta (3), mentre la filtrazione
prosegue nella seconda cartuccia.
Si lascia poi fluire il materiale fino all’unità filtrante per eliminare
residui di aria interni (4) e subito dopo il processo di filtrazione è
pronto per ripartire in entrambi i canali.
