The sweet oldest tradition from Verona
1894 Domenico Melegatti, the
founder of the company, obtained the “Exclusive Rights Certificate” for PANDORO that he
invented.
1951 The original pastry shop
in Verona became too small,
not only because of the success of the Pandoro, but also
because of that of the other
seasonal cakes. From then on
Melegatti started its industrial
production.
1983 Melegatti grew to today’s
dimensions thanks to huge investments on innovative products and to a good advertising
strategy. Having become by the
time a well-known brand in the
market, a new plant was built
outside Verona and Melegatti
started its export campaign.
1999 Melegatti obtained ISO
9001:2008 certification.
2011 A new step forward for
international development with
the new BRC and IFS certification.
