Colony was established in 1976 as an interior design
company. Since 1980 the company has created and
developed fabric designs for home furnishings.
Always highly refined and elegant, these patterns
are inspired by French, Venetian, Piedmontese and
oriental interior styles. Today, Colony is found in the
most beautiful homes in the world. It specializes in
lampas, velvets, brocades and silk fabrics.
The Colony Wallpaper Collection is inspired from its
historical design archives and existing fabrics, while
combining great modern materials. These unique
combinations of old and new, provide its Colony's
wallpapers with a range of tactile effects inherent in
the original patterns while also making these designs
easy to use in present day.
The high quality required, the need to have a close collaboration with suppliers and
the business philosophy of believing “Made in Italy” all mean that even in 2015,
Colony still produces all of its fabrics and wallpapers in Italy, where art, design and
quality are revered.
Colony distributes its products worldwide from its Piazza del Popolo showroom
and design studio in the hearth of Rome.

The COLONY Wallpaper Collection has an
excellent chromatic effect and offers a pleasant
tactile sensation.
The use and application of these wallpapers
present many advantages: they are easy to hang,
just paste the wall and not the paper, easy to strip
off and leave no residual traces on the wall; they
are wipeable, light resistant and fire retardant.
Most items are Type 2 Vinyl, therefore highly
suited for residential and contract use such as
high-traffic/public areas, lounges, corridors and
offices. They are breathable, thus preventing the
formation of mould and damp.
