OF A PRACTICAL KITCHEN
Functionality is never an end in itself, indeed, it always comes
hand-in-hand with elegance. And elegance is ageless, it travels
through time and has always existed. In design as in life.

A former workshop, near TREVISO, is renovated and converted into a
home. “I felt the need to free the space, to blend it with the furniture, and with
the view, to form a single, harmonious, linear composition,” explains the lady of
the house. A beguiling interplay of opposites is proposed here with a number
of different slants: old and new, glossy and matt, ethnic and contemporary.
But without a doubt, the most important factor here is space.

l’esigenza di liberare lo spazio,
di fonderlo con gli arredi e con il
panorama in una composizione

opposti viene quì riproposto in chiavi
diverse: vecchio e nuovo, lucido e
opaco, etnico e contemporaneo.

The wood-finish end pieces in the kitchen are given a lift
with orange glossy lacquered shelves.

Surrounded by a heart-stopping landscape in the
countryside near BIELLA, an old, forgotten hayloft gets
a new lease of life and a new vocation. Not to mention
an unexpected artistic touch. The design of the kitchen
is flexible and modular, forming an integral part of the
living space. “Paolo and I love to entertain lots of friends.
Now this well-distributed space, free from the obtrusion
of classic doors invites us to experience a different way of
living,” explains the lady of the house.

creativity. “I came to this apartment by degrees, I had metabolized it before it
was mine, it was the fruit of a path of inner growth. That’s why I feel so at home
