IL BISOGNO
THE NEED
IAE, producer of x-rays tubes mostly for medical applications, would
like to be internally provided with a reliable, reproducible, not polluting
and competitive technology for the coating of steel spheres.
These spheres constitute the ball bearings which support the rotating
anode of the tubes for the x-ray production.
IAE, produttrice di tubi a raggi X per applicazioni prevalentemente
medicali, vuole dotarsi internamente di una tecnologia affidabile,
riproducibile, non inquinante e competitiva per il rivestimento di
sferette di acciaio. Tali sferette compongono i cuscinetti a sfera che
supportano l’anodo rotante dei tubi per la produzione dei raggi X.

•First phase: scientific experimentation with IBAD technique (Ion
Beam Assisted Deposition) and production of some spheres lots
coated with this technique.
• Prima fase: sperimentazione scientifica con tecnica IBAD (Ion
Beam Assisted Deposition) e produzione di un certo numero di
lotti di sfere rivestite con tale tecnica.
• Second phase: planning, carrying out and test of industrial
apparatuses for the spheres’ coating.
• Seconda fase: progettazione, realizzazione e collaudo di veri e
propri apparati industriali finalizzati al rivestimento delle sfere.
