Overview
The LL.M in International Trade Law (on-line) was originally conceived as a tailored
programme for the Alumni of the former “International Trade Law Post-Graduate Course” held
from 1991 to 2010, with the purpose to offer an upgrade of their former training and related
diploma. After the success of the first edition, the Scientific Committee decided to expand the
scope of the programme to reach a larger public of potential beneficiaries (Alumni and
professionals with working experience in the fields covered by the LL.M.).
The distinctive features of the LL.M. in International Trade Law (on-line) are:
•
its teaching methodology: in order to facilitate the participation of lawyers, legal
professionals and public officials, the course relies on the e-learning teaching
methodology and is delivered completely online, except for a final on-campus week;
•
its scope: the LL.M. programme covers cutting edge issues, with the aim of updating
and expanding the participants’ former training.
The curriculum includes:
•
introductory modules: January 2016-March 2016 on “International Economic Law:
Policies and Institutions”, “International Economic Law: International Contracts”;
•
compulsory modules: March-June 2016 on “International Contracts”, “Dispute
Resolution and Arbitration”, “Refresher Conferences”;
•
optional complementary modules: June-July 2016 to be chosen among: “Corporate
Law”, “Intellectual Property Law”, “International Monetary and Financial Law”,
“Competition Law and International Trade”, “Consumer Protection in Global
Markets”;
•
a final research paper to be discussed on-campus: October 2016.
