Co-founder togheter with Prfessor MS Freedman of the International
Mesenchymal Stem Cells Transplantation Study Group (IMSCTSG). With
this study they estabilited the guidelines for the use of mesenchymal
stem cells for the treatment of multiple sclerosis. This consensus is
based on the results of preclinical research of Prof. Uccelli. It was
published in the Multiple Sclerosis Journal and it is the basis on which it
was designed a phase II international trial for the use of MSC in multiple
sclerosis. Professor Uccelli is the principal investigator for this study.
