university facilities, offering advice and information from its front office as
well as remotely via its call centre and e-mail service.
It provides the following services:

Collegio superiore

The “Collegio Superiore” delivers highly qualified interdiciplinary training,
integrating the course units of degree programmes. Students wishing to enter
the Collegio Superiore must apply during their first year of a first, second or
single cycle degree programme (or fourth year of single cycle programmes).
Admission is based exclusively on merit. Students at the Collegio will receive
a study grant and are exempted from paying tuition fees; they will be assigned
a tutor from among the University teaching staff; if they do not live in Bologna
they may obtain accommodation at the Residenza di Studi Superiori (Higher
Studies Halls of Residence); they may also take part in exchange programmes
with other schools of excellence in Italy and Europe.

The Regional Authority for the Right to Higher Education - ER.GO may be able
to help you with your university expenses, through study grants, exemption
of tuition fees and discounts on meals, residential services, international
mobility grants, specific funding and financial support for disabled students.
Every year on the website www. er-go.it (usually from July) calls are published
for financial aid granted to students according to set requirements based
on income and merit.Please note that applications for financial support have
different deadlines to those set for registration. Both before transferring
to Bologna University, or if you decide to change your study programme,
in order to be granted subsidies or reduced fees, your career will be assessed
from the year you first enrolled at university, regardless of the university
credits you obtained or of the course year you will be enrolled in. That could
lead to the loss of any assigned benefits.

ASP volunteer agreement
If you are studying away from home at the University of Bologna in Bologna,
you may submit an expression of interest for voluntary work, approximately 15
hours a week helping the elderly on behalf of the Bologna City public welfare
services (ASP). The service makes available some free accommodation for
volunteers (excluding charges and utilities) in its facilities.

Students may use the dental care services available at the Dental Clinic of
the Department of Biomedical and Neuromotor Sciences (DiBiNeM)
The first appointment with the service is free of charge, and a 30% discount is
offered on all services with the exception of dental prostheses, orthodontics,
maxillofacial prostheses, for which a 10% discount is offered. No discount is
available for dental implants.

students a Student Card, a subscription granting discounted seats at the
Cinema Lumière, and Student Card for the “Il Cinema Ritrovato” Festival.
Moreover, the Bologna Musei Institution gives the University of Bologna
students the possibility to access for free to its museums; in order to take
advantage of this opportunity, it is necessary to show the university badge

“Mi Muovo Studenti” is a new single annual ticket (train + city bus) at a
discount. You can use the regional rail service for a set route (stating the
place of departure/arrival) and travel on public transport in the city (trains
and buses) in all provincial capitals in Emilia-Romagna, as well as Imola,
Faenza and Carpi. You can purchase “Mi Muovo” in Trenitalia and FER ticket
offices in Emilia-Romagna.

bicycles, you must obtain a key with a PIN code from the ATCittà centres
when you register.
