Negli anni ‘50 Secondo Piraccini ha iniziato la sua attività nel
settore frutticolo sul mercato nazionale e nel 1966, insieme
ai figli Walther, Valchirio e Valtiero, ha fondato l’azienda di
import-export.
Oggi la Piraccini Secondo è presente in Italia con circa
200mila quintali di frutta movimentata annualmente, di cui
il 40% viene esportato in tutta Europa. Qualità, salubrità
e innovazione sono da sempre i punti cardine del Gruppo
Piraccini, raggiunti attraverso processi di ricerca e sviluppo,
al fine di proporre sul mercato prodotti che sposino meglio i
nuovi stili di vita e di consumo. Proprio l’innovazione varietale
della fragola portata avanti negli ultimi anni (grazie alla
collaborazione con il CRA-Unità di ricerca per la frutticoltura
di Forlì) l’ha fatta diventare una delle colture più importanti
per l’attività dell’azienda, anche per il lungo calendario di

ABOUT US
Secondo Piraccini started his business in the fruit and vegetables sector in
the Italian market in the 1950s and, together with sons Walther, Valchirio
and Valtiero, established their import-export rm in 1966. Today the Piraccini
Secondo rm’s operations handle around 20,000 tonnes of fruit annually in
Italy, with 40% of this exported throughout Europe.
Since its foundation, research and development has enabled Gruppo
Piraccini to achieve quality, health and innovation - our linchpins enabling us to bring products to the market that are the ideal match for
modern lifestyles and new trends in European consumption. Thanks to
collaboration with the Italian Agricultural Research Council (CRA) Forlì fruit
farming research unit, recent varietal innovation advances have turned
strawberries into one of the most important crops in the rm’s activity, in
part due to the long schedule of production. The Piraccini brothers make
it their business to personally look after relations with our agricultural
producers and clients. In order for us to meet the needs of our consumers
and clients, achieve excellence in our corporate organization, and

In den 50er Jahren begann Secondo Piraccini seine Tätigkeit im
Obstbausektor des italienischen Marktes. 1966 gründete er zusammen
mit den Söhnen Walther, Valchirio und Valtiero das Import-ExportUnternehmen. Heute verzeichnet das Unternehmen Piraccini Secondo in
Italien einen Umsatz von circa 400.000 Zentnern Obst pro Jahr, wovon
40% nach ganz Europa exportiert werden. Qualität, Gesundheit und
Innovation waren schon immer die Schwerpunkte des Unternehmens
Piraccini, die durch Forschungs- und Entwicklungsprojekte erreicht werden,
um auf dem Markt Produkte anzubieten, die auf das Beste dem neuen
Lebens- und Einkaufsstil der europäischen Verbraucher entgegenkommen.
Gerade die Varietäten-Innovation der Erdbeere hat aus ihr in den letzten
Jahren (dank der Zusammenarbeit mit der CRA-Forschungsstelle
für Obstanbau in Forlí) eine der wichtigsten Anbauprodukte für die
Unternehmenstätigkeit gemacht, nicht zuletzt wegen des langen
Produktionszeitraums.
Die Gebrüder Piraccini kümmern sich persönlich um die Beziehungen zu
den Landwirtschaftsproduzenten und Kunden.
Um den Bedürfnissen der Verbraucher gerecht zu werden, um die gesamte
Betriebsorganisation zu verbessern und um die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit zu

PRODOTTI
I prodotti lavorati e commercializzati dall’azienda
Piraccini Secondo provengono esclusivamente da zone
italiane vocate, attraverso un’accurata selezione dei
fornitori e un’appassionata cura della qualità fin dalla
campagna.
Attraverso una stretta sinergia con il CRA-Unità di
ricerca per la frutticoltura di Forlì, vengono curati
l’innovazione varietale e il miglioramento genetico
della fragola (tra cui le varietà Pir 5 e Jonica), che ha
permesso l’allungamento del calendario di produzione
(da fine dicembre a giugno).
Per quanto riguarda pesche e nettarine, le prime varietà
precoci sono disponibili da fine maggio fino alle varietà
più tardive di fine settembre.
Altra coltura rilevante è il kiwi, i cui frutti – che
provengono per il 90% dal Lazio - vengono
commercializzati da metà ottobre fino a metà maggio.
PRODUCTS
Products processed and marketed by Piraccini Secondo are
obtained exclusively in Italy from specialist areas, through our
careful selection of suppliers and the attention we devote to
quality right from the field.
Our close synergy with the Italian Agricultural Research
Council (CRA) Forlì fruit farming research unit ensures varietal
innovation and the genetic improvement of strawberries
(including the PIR 5 and Jonica variety), which has created an
extended production schedule (from the end of December to
June).
With regard to peaches and nectarines, early varieties are
available from the end of May and later varieties until the end
of September.
Kiwi fruit of which 90% comes from the Lazio region is another
important crop, marketed from the second half of October until
mid-May.
DIE PRODUKTE
Die vom Unternehmen Piraccini Secondo verarbeiteten
und vertriebenen Produkte stammen ausschließlich aus
hierzu berufenen italienischen Gebieten, und zwar über die
sorgfältige Auswahl der Lieferanten und eine bereits auf dem
Land beginnende gründliche Qualitätsprüfung.
Über eine enge Synergie mit der CRA-Forschungsstelle für
Obstanbau in Forlì wird die Varietäten-Innovation und die
genetische Verbesserung der Erdbeere durchgeführt (darunter
die Varietät Pir 5 und Jonica), wodurch eine Verlängerung des
Produktionszeitraums möglich wurde (von Ende Dezember bis
Juni).
Was die Pfirsiche und Nektarinen betrifft reicht der
Produktionszeitraum von den ersten frühreifen Varietäten, die
bereits Ende Mai verfügbar sind, bis zu den später reifenden
Varietäten von Ende September.
Eine weiteres relevantes Anbauprodukt ist die Kiwi, deren
Früchte - die zu 90% aus dem Latium stammen - von Mitte
Oktober bis Mitte Mai vertrieben werden.

La sede principale è situata a Cesena (Forlì-Cesena), dove avviene
l’approvvigionamento del prodotto, la selezione, il confezionamento,
il controllo qualità lungo tutta la filiera, la gestione dei processi e la
commercializzazione dei prodotti.
Le sedi situate a Imola (Bologna) e Velletri (Roma) fungono da
piattaforma per il ritiro del prodotto: la prima per i prodotti locali
(pesche, nettarine, albicocche, susine, kiwi, pere), la seconda per
kiwi e susine.
A Scanzano Jonico (Matera) avviene l’approvvigionamento, la
lavorazione, il confezionamento di fragole, albicocche e agrumi.
LOCATION
Our headquarters are situated in Cesena (Province of Forlì-Cesena),
where produce is stored, selected and packed, quality control is
carried out along the entire chain, and process management and
product marketing take place.
Our facilities in Imola (Bologna) and Velletri (Rome) serve as
platforms for the collection of produce: Imola for local products
(peaches, nectarines, apricots, plums, kiwi fruit, pears), Velletri for
kiwi fruit and plums.
At our facility in Scanzano Jonico (Province of Matera), strawberries,
apricots and citrus fruits are stored, processed and packed.

Der Hauptsitz befindet sich in Cesena (Forlì-Cesena), wo
die Produktbeschaffung, die Auswahl, die Verpackung, die
Qualitätskontrolle des gesamten Prozessablaufes, die Verwaltung
der einzelnen Prozesse und der Vertrieb der Produkte erfolgt.
Die Nebenstellen in Imola (Bologna) und Velletri (Rom) dienen als
Plattform für das Abholen der Produkte: In Imola für die lokalen
Produkte (Pfirsiche, Nektarinen, Aprikosen, Pflaumen, Kiwis, Birnen),
in Velletri für Kiwis und Pflaumen.
In Scanzano Jonico (Matera) erfolgt die Beschaffung, Verarbeitung,
Verpackung der Erdbeeren, Aprikosen und Zitrusfrüchte.
