Nel libro Cinelli. The Art and Design of the
Bicycle edito da Rizzoli New York e dedicato
alla nostra storia, c'è una conversazione tra me
e Sir Paul Smith, il famoso stilista inglese. È
noto che Paul da ragazzo aveva una grande
ambizione: diventare un campione di ciclismo.
Con lui ho avuto modo di riflettere ulteriormente
sulla grande reputazione dei componenti Cinelli.
Paul da ragazzo impazziva per i manubri e gli
attacchi Cinelli e oggi accade la stessa cosa in
tutto il mondo, dove gli appassionati di bici a
scatto fisso cercano ancora i nostri manubri (e
non solo) per dare personalità alla propria
single speed.
Già, perché non sono solo i componenti più
importanti quelli che arricchiscono una bici: i
manubri, le selle, gli attacchi e i reggisella. Anche
accessori come un nastro o un portaborraccia,
se sono Cinelli, vogliono esprimere una identità
precisa.
Harry’s non solo tiene bene la borraccia ed è
leggero, ti fa pensare al mitico bar e sorridere.
Dare il nome ad un prodotto è un atto
progettuale. Ecco perché accessorio è per noi
un termine riduttivo. Allude a qualcosa di
secondario, superfluo, marginale. La nostra
ambizione non è quella di darvi “Componenti e
Accessori”, ma un po' di cromosomi Cinelli.
Sempre. Far deragliare il desiderio dentro un
particolare, una sfumatura, un colore.
È questa l’ossessione. Fare di un dettaglio un
abbaglio come succede con Caleido, il nastro
che offre comfort “a colori nascosti”.
Per questo siamo sicuri della lunga vita dei
manubri RAM: un concentrato di design,
tecnologia, competizione e arte.
La totalmente nuova gamma Neos sarà un’altra
tappa storica. E grandi soddisfazioni verranno
dai Kinks, gli straps in materiale riflettente con
il piccolo grande dettaglio della fibbia “proper
angle”.

In the book Cinelli. The Art and Design of
the Bicycle, published by Rizzoli New
York, on the history of our company,
there is a conversation between me and
Sir Paul Smith, the famous English fashion
designer. It is a well-known fact that as a
boy Paul had one great ambition: to
become a cycling champion.
We talked about the outstanding reputation
of Cinelli parts. In his youth Paul was
crazy about Cinelli handlebars and gear,
and the same is true today of people all
over the world, where fixie lovers seek our
handlebars (and other items) to add
personality to their single-speed bikes.
Because what makes a great bike is not
just a matter of the most important parts:
handlebars, stems, saddles, seat posts.
Other accessories, like tape or a bottlecage,
if they are by Cinelli, help to express a
precise identity.
Harry’s doesn’t just hold your water
bottle… it is light, and it makes you think
about the famous bar… so you smile.
Giving a name to a product is part of its
design. That is why, for us, the term
“accessory” is never under-rated. Of
course it alludes to something secondary,
superfluous, marginal, perhaps. But our
goal is not to give you “Parts and
Accessories”; we want to pass on some
Cinelli chromosomes. Always. Detouring
desire into a detail, a nuance, a color. That
is a true obsession. Making a detail into
something dazzling, as in the case of
Caleido, the tape that offers comfort “in
hidden colors”. This is why we are so
confidant about the long life of the RAM
handlebars: a concentrate of design,
technology, competition and art.
The completely new Neos line will be
another historical step forward. And we
are also very proud of the Kinks, straps
in reflecting material with the little big
detail of the “proper angle” fastener.

Ram Ram Ram. Non c’è due senza tre. Le linee del Ram sono state
leggermente modificate e il risultato è un prodotto più aggressivo: un po’
manta un po’ Formula 1. La parte di appoggio palmare è ridotta del 6% e al
di sotto sono amplificati i concetti ergonomici, è stata ricavata una “Thumb
Zone”, ossia un avvallamento per l’appoggio del pollice utile sia nelle fasi
di relax che in quelle di spinta. Il passaggio dei cavi è ampio, fluido e
scorrevole, l’uscita è avanzata nel ponte integrato porta-computer (Manta
Deck) in modo da migliorare significativamente le performance in fase di

frenata e cambiata. La sagomatura delle drops segue una particolare curva
parabolica per una presa continua mai troppo profonda (Progressive Parabolic Action). Il carbonio unidirezionale è
stratificato in modo ottimale con una disposizione delle fibre che rende possibile la riduzione del peso del 7%.

Ram Ram Ram. Never two without three. The shapes of the Ram have been slightly modified and the result is an even
more aggressive product, something between a Manta Ray and Formula One. The palm section on the tops of the
handlebar has now been reduced by 6%, and the ergonomic zones on the underside of the section have been
improved, obtaining the "Thumb Zone", a surface recess for resting thumbs, useful both in emphasized (such as
climbing) and relaxed phases of the ride. The cables routing is wide, fluid and flowing, their output is integrated into
an advanced position at the start of the cyclo-computer holder bridge (Manta Deck) significantly improving braking
and shifting performance. The shape of the drops follows a particular parabolic curve that ensures a constant grab,
never too deep (Progressive Parabolic Action). The unidirectional carbon fiber has an optimal oriented stratification,

Master of black and white, and representational leading
figure of the mid-1990s underground movement in San
Francisco, Giant is internationally known for his graffiti,
his skateboards, his tattoos and the immacolate
precision of his graphics. For the last two years he has
been working on an ongoing collaboration with Cinelli
which has included catalogue cover art, posters,
handlebar tape and Cinelli RAM Mike Giant Edition, a
limited edition of the legendary first even integrated
carbon fiber stem and handlebar.

Abbiamo riprogettato la curva per offrire
anche la taglia 38, mantenendo le
formidabili 4 zone di presa sul manubrio
che lo rendono più ergonomico,
performante e comodo da impugnare.
La parte centrale è molto larga e
digrada verso l’esterno creando un’ottima
zona di appoggio resa ancora più
confortevole dal sistema di copertura

La drop è molto bassa e permette di

del manubrio. La leva freno è molto
ravvicinata ed un’apposita rientranza della

We have redesigned the bar to offer the size 38, keeping the 4 amazing grip zones
on the bar making it more ergonomic and extremely comfortable to grab.
The central area is wider and slopes outward creating an optimum grip point,

New high performance extra light aluminum team line. The super lightweight handlebar is realized by a triple-butted
tube 7050 T76 alloy, subjected to a special treatment of “overaging” which ensures strength and corrosion resistance.
The shallow PPA drop is bended outward of 7° and allows a safe and optimal grip in the most extreme conditions of
use. The 3D forged stem is made with 7050 T6 aluminum alloy, the variable thickness and the oval section make it

Nuove estensioni clip on Triathlon/Crono adattabili ai
manubri diametro 31,8mm. I morsetti in alluminio 6061 T6
forgiati e lavorati CNC sono di facilissimo montaggio
grazie al semplice sistema di fissaggio a due viti. Gli
appoggia gomito realizzati interamente in fibra di
carbonio sono leggeri, rigidi ed ergonomici, possono
essere regolati in ampiezza ed avanzamento e sono dotati
di un confortevole cuscinetto di appoggio. Le estensioni
ad ‘S’ in lega leggera di alluminio, consentono all’atleta di
assumere una posizione estremamente aerodinamica con
un controllo ottimale della bicicletta.

New Triathlon/Time trial clip on extensions designed for 31.8mm handlebars. The 6061 T6
aluminum clamps are forged and CNC machined, easy to assemble thanks to the simple
two bolts fastening system. The arm rests completely in carbon fiber are light, stiff and
ergonomic, can be adjusted in width and advancement and are equipped with a
comfortable support pad. The ‘S’ shape extensions in light aluminum alloy, allow the
rider to take an extremely aerodynamic position with an optimal control of the bicycle.
The ends can be connected through a specific reinforced Nylon connector.
