• For a maximum room height of 3 m.
• Note that only the luminaires that illuminate the work surface monitored by a SensaX-MULTISENSOR multisensor should be regulated using daylight-linked regulation. Neighbouring luminaires that are regulated
via a second multisensor should not illuminate the work surface monitored by the first multisensor, in order to enable efficient constant light regulation
• Daylight-linked constant light regulation relies on the measurement of the artificial and natural daylight reflected by a work surface. This measuring procedure does not give exact data for the actual illuminance
on the work surface.
• The constant light regulation is deliberately slow in reacting to changes in the daylight levels in order for these reactions to be perceived as little as possible.

• Please ensure that no direct artificial or natural daylight reaches the lens of the sensor.
• A 1-fold shielded line is recommended for industrial use.
• Air convection in cavity ceilings with hollow sections can trip the presence detection incorrectly. In
such cases, insulate the ceiling installation location with wool or something similar.
• Install the SensaX-MULTISENSOR in such a way that no objects (e.g. hanging luminaires, furniture,
etc.) hide the desired detection range.
Other notes
• Commissioned using the SensaX-IRCONTROL remote control (art. no. 22 154 743, not included in
delivery).
• The SensaX-IRCONTROL remote control must be directed towards the lens of the
SensaX-MULTISENSOR during use.
• The infrared reception range depends on the circumstances in the room. Reception characteristics
are changed by reflections on the walls, furniture or floor. Infrared radiation is absorbed by dark
materials.
• Infrared transmitters such as laptops, PDAs or mobile phones with enabled IR interface, as well as
plasma screens, may interfere with communication between the SensaX-IRCONTROL remote control
and the SensaX-MULTISENSOR.
• Switched lamps, ventilators, heaters, etc. and printers and copying machines located in the detection
range may trigger presence detection faults as well as affect or distort the daylight-linked constant
light regulation result.
Installation notes
• The multisensor SensaX-MULTISENSOR can be installed in a single recessed European socket,
mounted onto the ceiling with the accessory rings provided or installed in a suspended ceiling. Strain
relief of the connections must take place externally.
• Deviations from the optimal installation height (room height max. 3 m) change the properties of
the SensaX-MULTISENSOR. The sensitivity of the SensaX-MULTISENSOR is reduced when it is
installed at a height exceeding the optimal installation height. This can affect or distort the daylightlinked constant light regulation or the detection range of the presence detector.
Safety instructions
• Installation of this device may only be ­carried out by specialist staff who have provided proof of their
skills.
• The power supply must be switched off before ­handling the device.
• The relevant safety and accident prevention regulations must be observed.

Areas of application
The device may only

• Pour les applications industrielles, nous recommandons d’utiliser un câble simple blindé.
• Une convection d’air dans les faux plafonds peut générer des erreurs de détection. Dans ce cas, isolez la zone de montage au plafond avec de la laine isolante ou un matériau similaire.
• Montez le multicapteur SensaX-MULTISENSOR de telle sorte qu'aucun objet (p. ex. luminaires suspendus, meubles, etc.) ne vienne recouvrir la zone de couverture.
Autres indications

• La portée de la télécommande infrarouge dépend des caractéristiques de la pièce. Les réflexions

• Les émetteurs à infrarouges, tels que les ordinateurs portables, les ordinateurs de poche ou les
­téléphones mobiles avec une interface IR active, ainsi que les écrans plasma, peuvent éventuellement perturber la communication entre la télécommande SensaX-IRCONTROL et le multicapteur
SensaX-MULTISENSOR.
• Des lampes, des radiateurs soufflants, des ventilateurs, etc. ainsi que les imprimantes et photocopieuses allumés, se trouvant dans la zone de détection, peuvent provoquer des erreurs de détection
de présence. Ceci peut influencer, voire fausser, la régulation constante de la lumière selon la
lumière du jour.

e multicapteur SensaX-IRSENSOR peut être monté dans un boîtier Euro simple ou bien encore au
plafond ou encastré dans un plafond suspendu à l'aide des bagues de montage fournies dans la livraison. La décharge de tension de tension des raccordements est à la charge du maître d'ouvrage.
• Des écarts par rapport à la hauteur de montage optimale (hauteur de pièce maxi. 3 m) modifient les
caractéristiques du multicapteur SensaX-MULTISENSOR. Un montage trop élevé réduit la sensibilité
du multicapteur SensaX-MULTISENSOR. Ceci peut influencer, voire fausser, la régulation constante
de la lumière selon la lumière du jour ou la zone de couverture du capteur de présence.

• Die Fernbedienung SensaX-IRCONTROL ist während der Betätigung auf die Linse des Multisensors
­SensaX-MULTISENSOR auszurichten.
• Die Reichweite des Infrarot-Empfangs ist abhängig von den Gegebenheiten des Raumes.
Reflexionen durch helle Wände, Möbel oder Fußböden verändern die Empfangseigenschaften.
Dunkle Materialen absorbieren Infrarotstrahlen.
• Infrarotsender, wie Laptops, PDAs oder Handys mit aktivierter IR-Schnittstelle, sowie Plasma-TVs,
­können die Kommunikation zwischen der Fernbedienung SensaX-IRCONTROL und dem Multisensor
SensaX-MULTISENSOR stören.
• Geschaltete Leuchtmittel, Heizlüfter, Ventilatoren, etc., sowie Druck- oder Kopiergeräte, welche sich
im Erfassungsbereich befinden, können fehlerhafte An- und Abwesenheitserkennungen auslösen
sowie das Ergebnis der tageslichtabhängigen Konstantlichtregelung beeinflussen bzw. verfälschen.

• Achten Sie darauf, dass in die Linse weder direktes Kunst- noch Tageslicht einfällt.
• Für Industrieanwendungen wird empfohlen eine 1-fach geschirmte Leitung zu verwenden.

• Fare attenzione che la lente non sia esposta alla luce artificiale o alla luce solare diretta.
• Per le applicazioni industriali si consiglia di utilizzare un cavo schermato singolo.
• La circolazione dell'aria nelle intercapedini dei soffitti può causare errori nel riconoscimento della
presenza. In questi casi isolare la zona di montaggio nel soffitto con materiali come lana isolante o
simili.
• Montare il multisensore SensaX-MULTISENSOR in modo che il campo di rilevamento voluto non sia
coperto da oggetti (ad es. lampade sospese, mobili, ecc.).
Altre avvertenze
• La messa in funzione si effettua con l'aiuto del telecomando SensaX-IRCONTROL (n. art. 22 154 743,
non compreso nella fornitura).
• Il telecomando SensaX-IRCONTROL durante l'uso va puntato verso la lente del multisensore
SensaX-MULTISENSOR.
• La portata dell'apparecchio di ricezione a infrarossi dipende dalle condizioni dell'ambiente. I riflessi
a causa delle pareti chiare, i mobili o i pavimenti modificano le caratteristiche di ricezione. I materiali
scuri assorbono i raggi infrarossi.
• I trasmettitori a infrarossi come computer portatili, PDA o telefoni cellulari con interfaccia IR attivata
come anche i televisori al plasma possono disturbare la comunicazione tra il telecomando SensaXIRCONTROL e il multisensore SensaX-MULTISENSOR.
• Le lampade accese, i termosifoni ad aria, i ventilatori, ecc., come anche le stampanti o le fotocopiatrici, presenti nel campo di rilevamento possono causare errori nella segnalazione della presenza
oppure influenzare e falsare il funzionamento della regolazione costante della luce in funzione della
luce diurna.
Istruzioni di montaggio
• Il multisensore SensaX-MULTISENSOR può essere integrato nelle scatole Euro singole, oppure
montato al soffitto con gli anelli accessori inclusi, oppure incassato in un soffitto ribassato. Lo scarico
della trazione dei collegamenti deve avvenire all'esterno.
• Variando l'altezza di montaggio ideale (altezza del locale max. 3 m) si modificano le caratteristiche
del multisensore SensaX-MULTISENSOR. Se questo viene montato più in alto si riduce la sensibilità

• Påslagna belysningar, värmefläktar, fläktar, etc., samt skrivare eller kopiatorer, som befinner sig inom
registreringsområdet, kan utlösa felaktiga registreringar av närvaro eller frånvaro samt påverka resultatet för den dagsljusberoende konstantljusregleringen respektive leda till felaktiga resultat.

ultisensorn SensaX-MULTISENSOR kan monteras i Euro-dosor av 1-typ, eller monteras med de
medföljande tillbehörsringarna på taket resp. monteras i ett undertak. Anslutningarnas dragavlastning
sker externt.
• Avvikelser från den optimala monteringshöjden (höjd i rummet max. 3 m) förändrar egenskaperna för
multisensorn SensaX-MULTISENSOR. Vid högre montering minskas känsligheten för multisensorn
SensaX-MULTISENSOR. Det kan påverka respektive leda till fel för den dagsljusberoende konstantljusregleringen resp. registreringsområdet för närvarosensorn.
