MEASURING TECHNIQUE
Technique S – B
A double probe has to be used: the measure is determined by the space
between the entrance of the ultrasound into the piece and the deep echo.
The course has a “v” shape and therefore the instrument adjusts the
measure according to the curve of the probe being used.
This technique has a wide application " eld, generally used with the
standard digital thickness gauges but necessary to measure the corroded
or rough surfaces.
