Course contents:
Main topics in animal biotechnology: origin and evolution of animal husbandry, from classical breeding to
genomic strategies. Some genetics, zootechnical and zoonotic aspects significantly affecting animal
production and public health will be discussed in particular.
Learning outcomes of the course:
The course will provide students with the main elements of animal biotechnology applied to domestic
livestock production and veterinary medicine.

No prerequisites.
