NAME: International Judo Tournament for teams “Kenshiro Abbe”

DATE : 12 th September 2015
Last year 18 male teams and 8 female teams took part in the competition.
KIND OF COMPETITION: invitation for male and female teams Juniors and Seniores (no more
than 8 teams), of 5 weights for men (66,73,81,90,+90) and 4 for women (48,52,57,63,+63).
Borrowings are allowed and there will be a tolerance of 1 kg (ex. 67kg instead of 66).
Even athletes born in 1997 can participate.
Each team will have to fight at least twice.
ENTRY FORM: 30 € each team; it is necessary to confirm within the 5th September 2015 paying
by transfer on BUDO SEMMON GAKKO account

REFEREES: Regional Committe of Liguria with the national and international regulation of UEJ.
PRIZES: Trophy to the first four teams classified.
LOGISTICS: For the first 8 teams (far away at least 300 km from Genoa) which confirm their
participation, the organization will pay the Saturday’s dinner and the night in the hotel of the same
day for 5 athletes, 1 Referee and 1 coach.
ENTRY: Free.

COGOLETO
A small town Cogoleto is situated in the middle of the Liguria region, only 15 minutes far from
Genoa, which makes it easy to find, should you be coming from the North of Italy (exit Arenzano)
or from France (exit Varazze).
The town has changed its face since the construction of a wonderful mall at the seashore. Not only
did this influence the urban aspect of the town, but it has also underlined the importance of beaches
as the primary touristic attraction with such ingredients like foam, wind and spiced with salt.
At the same time, Cogoleto is renowned for its mountains; the peaks Beigua, Rama, Sciarborasca
and Lerca are excellent places for those who like to do cycling, horse riding, hiking tours, or just
long walks. Last but not least, the region offers a great gastronomic variety, several points of
interest in art and landscape if you are that way inclined and you have a car.
There is a small historical centre in the town with narrow streets and ancient houses, one of which
can be the house of birth of Christopher Columbus.
On the top of these, Cogoleto provides its visitors with a large offer of shops, baths, libraries, leisure
time facilities; the town houses a museum of a peasantry depicting the rural life a few centuries ago.
A long list of sports can be done in the town, such as rugby, tennis, pétanque, football, equitation
golf.
