INTERNATIONAL EVENT PROJECT ARCHITETTURA AGRICOLTURA PAESAGGIO URBANITA’ ATTRAVERSO EXPO 2015 EXPO2015 1st 1st World Conference of landscape architecture in Milan ARCHITECTURE AGRICULTURE LANDSCAPE URBAN LIFE THROUGH EXPO 2015 Milan June 2015 Organized by: Sponsored by: Under the patronage of: LANDSCAPE AGRICULTURE ARCHITECTURE URBAN LIFE: THROUGH EXPO 2015 1. Introduction The initiative objects and its topics are closely related to the themes of EXPO 2015 "Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life". For this reason it is useful and interesting to post events here proposed in the great cultural, economic and social system of the International Exhibition of Milan. The Symposium promotes meditations about the relationship between city and country, to collect and compair projects for the correct planning and use of the territory. The topic Agritecture & Landscape aims to reflect on the future of landscape and towns to find new strategies that are able to assign new environmental, ethical, economic and social values to the territory, reconnecting nutritional requirements and urban settlement. Without conflicts between town and country and counteracting uncontrolled urbanization and land consumption, we would like to investigate the border, ephemeral and sometimes so much rigid, between agriculture and architecture, between rural and urban areas, hoping the return of the first in the latter. Agritecture & Landscape intends to promote re-appropriation processes of nature towards urban centers, through projects that combine agriculture, landscape and architecture, through large-scale projects, and through experiences that use vegetation as construction material to pursue biodiversity, sustainability and food production. PAYSAGE, organizing the International Symposium Agritecture & Landscape – Landscape, Agriculture, Architecture, Urban Life: through EXPO 2015 and the related International Award sponsored by CONSIGLIO NAZIONALE DEGLI ARCHITETTI PIANIFICATORI PAESAGGISTI E CONSERVATORI under the patronage of EXPO 2015, aims to engage the world of architecture in the area of safeguarding and "nutrition" of our planet, which today is one of the themes that humanity has need to address for ensuring better living condition to future generations.
