This production is part of the 69th season of the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale of Spoleto

As part of the finals of the Tournament of Amateur Theatre of Orvieto, Acquapendente
and Abbadia San Salvatore, Mancinelli presents Hypochondria: A satire about a bourgeois world in which the protagonists are learned and wise doctors with a naive and
gullible patient and his family. Characters consist of those who nourish their affection
for the patient and those who would plot against him, if only for their own selfish
interests. The playwrite was inspired by “The Sick Imagination” by Molière. It’s
an adaptation that is intriguing, engaging and surreal.

As part of the finals of the Tournament of Amateur Theatre of Orvieto, Acquapendente and Abbadia San
Salvatore, Mancinelli presents a show where acting and singing are alternated. It’s a journey during
the time of the Second World War told through dramatic episodes and tragedies that represent a
sort of fratricide that existed and consumed Italians up until the time of the Liberation. It’s a look at
the future through a play that invites reflection and asks that we not forget. For this presentation the
company collaborates with Electric Light Folk Band, formed by the Monte Amiata, which researched
and authenticated the historical songs.

about the truth (and what is passed-off as such) by men in the course of their existence.
During a customary visit to a cemetery, a grieving widow meets the caretaker who is a
widower. He is convinced by the woman to contact two fortune tellers who are reputed
to summon the souls of the dead. This creates a surreal situation that has the advantage of revealing to both of them the uncomfortable truth that, in the course of their
marriages, they had ignored.

The talented director, Alessandro Gassman brings to the stage the intensely emotional
and social developments of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. This very personal staging is in keeping with the the book’s original intentions. Through the story we learn a
lesson in civic engagement and the merciless indictment of the methods of compulsion
and imposition adopted within asylums of the era. But above all, it offers an extraordinary metaphor for the relationship between individuals and the power they possess
and the repressive mechanisms that exist in the conditioning of man by the other men.

The story of two couples: One affluent - Two doctors in their second marriage, which is
in crisis. Their lives are consumed with lawyers, bank accounts, work and a lack of communication. The other couple is the opposite: He’s a 50 year-old, award-winning writer,
and she is his 30-year old student - full of vitality and in search of her place as a writer.
The two live in an attic with no children and no money, but full of love. The balance is
disturbed when it turns out that the doctor has a mistress and the doctor’s wife, who
decides to leave him, rushes to the home of her two writer friends to tell them of her
discovery. The living room is the scene of what will become a war with no holds barred.

businessman named Scrooge, who cares only for success and money, neglecting the
family. A life-changing turning point comes just before Christmas with a chance meeting
that would alter the way he feels and treats others.

Throughout this period, olive oil mills in the region will be open to the public. In town
squares, participating cities will present programs and exhibits relating to the oil, culture and gastronomy of Umbria.
I Colli Orvieto is one of five subzones of oil DOP, which includes Umbria Colli del Trasimeno, Colli Amerini Colli Assisi-Spoleto, Colli Martani. Important municipalities of the

FESTIVAL BIGONZONE 21st Edition
The festival, which takes place during the days of ‘Indian summer’ bringing back an
old peasant custom of celebrating the end of the grape harvest by sharing a meal with
friends who helped with the harvest. The central moment occurs in tasting the new
wine, poured from a great bigoncio in which the grapes (all of different qualities) were
pressed and left to ferment (for about a month). The festival takes place in the main
square of the village and includes the tasting of the new wine, as well as products and
typical local gastronomy.
Stands Open: 13:00 with polenta, bujone, beans, pastries and sweets. Alternatively,
Sunday’s menu includes lasagna, roast chicken and potatoes, and Zuppa Inglese (a
typical trifle desert) 16:00 - 19:30 “Puts Cinnamon in the Bigonzone”: Tasting of new
wine, snacks of local products, a craft market and music in the square.
In case of bad weather the event will be postponed to the following Sunday.

This event, founded in 2012, is held during the week of the Feast in Honor of Our Lady
of Majesty, which takes place on November 21st each year.
Ficulle Olio DiVino gathers the highest quality products in the area (wine, olive oil and
more), offering tasting stands set up in the historic center of Ficulle by the wineries,
the olive oil mills and local merchants. The program also offers tours of the mills in the
area, designed to spread the culture and show the quality of its olive oil. Visits to historical monuments of Ficulle are also offered, turning the historical center into a sort of
open-air museum. Other events include theatrical and musical entertainment, dinners

INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF ART AND FAITH
9th Edition
Orvieto, the city of the Eucharistic Miracle of Corpus Christi, hosts exhibitions, performances, concerts,
meetings, conferences and activities focusing on art and faith and their relationship today - both
scholarly and in popular culture (intercultura/ecumenical).
The combination of art and faith can recoup a unitary dimension of the cultural, social and spiritual
man of the twenty-first century.
After the Eucharistic miracle took place in the nearby town of Bolsena (1264), “urbi et orbi” (The Feast
of Corpus Domini 1264) was established and proclaimed. Today, the relic of the miracle is preserved
inside the cathedral of Orvieto.
The International Festival of Art and Faith was founded in 2004 as a result of the awareness of the
extraordinary vocation of Orvieto to art and faith internationally. The initiatives are attended by artists,
personalities, theologians and scholars of national and international fame.

In the historic center of Fabro and in the cellars of the castle, a grand truffle event takes place featuring the ‘prince’ white truffle of Fabro and other typical products such as olive oil, honey, wine, saffron,
mushrooms, pork products and cheese. The exhibition features more than 50 stands of manufacturers
from every Italian region presenting high quality food and local products, plus special offerings from
local restaurants. In the business park of Fabro, shops will be opened. The visiting areas are interconnected via a free shuttle departing from the town’s car park, Colonnetta/Expo Sole.
