The importance of security and quality of the products grows day by day. We therefore,
decided to emphasize the quality and security level reached by our products and proceeded
with the certification of a wide range of them. We relied upon one of the most serious
and well known European bodies, TÜV SÜD, that tested our products submitting them to
several tests apt to determine in an objective way their performance, the quality and the
security of IAMdesign products. The positive results obtained with these tests allowed us
to certify our products according to the laws in force in many European countries. We can
therefore guarantee our customers high quality products.
La sicurezza e la qualità dei prodotti al giorno d’oggi assumono un importanza sempre
maggiore,abbiamo quindi deciso di evidenziare il livello qualitativo e la sicurezza
raggiunti dai nostri prodotti certificandone una vasta gamma. Per fare questo ci siamo
affidati ad uno degli enti piu seri e conosciuti d’Europa TÜV SÜD che ha testato i nostri
prodotti sottoponendoli a molte divere prove atte a determinare in modo oggettivo le loro
prestazioni. qualità e la scurezza dei prodotti IAMdesign. I risultati positivi che abbiamo
ottenuto da questi test ci hanno permesso di certificare i nostri prodotti secondo le
normative attualmente vigenti in molti paesi europei e di poter così garantire alla nostra

GLASS U ridefinisce completamente il concetto di Parapetti in vetro.
Il montaggio è semplicissimo e veloce infatti è stato studiato per rispondere alle esigenze
dell’installatore. il sistema di fissaggio non prevede l’utilizzo di cementi, questo facilita di molto
la sostituzione del vetro dove necessario.
Il sistema costituito da profilo di base, dispositivo di serraggio e vetro (vetro temprato e quindi
stratificato 1010.4) soddisfa la vigente normativa (Norme Tecniche per le Costruzioni – 2008),
risultando dimensionato per carichi linearmente distribuiti pari a 2kN/m (Tabella 3.1.II – Valori
dei carichi d’esercizio per le diverse categorie di edifici – Categoria C - Ambienti suscettibili di
affollamento); le verifiche sono state effettuate dalla stazione Sperimentale del Vetro e dall' Ente
TÜV SÜD. La tipologia di vetro è conforme alla UNI EN 12600; classe 1(B)1.
GLASS U defines the new concept for glass railings. It is extremely easy and fast to install,
since it was studied especially for installers. This system does not require the use of concrete
during installation. This allows for easy replacement of glass where necessary.
The base profile , clamping device and glass (tempered glass and stratified 1010.4) form the
system and it according to the current rule (NTC 2008), measured for concentrated linear
loads equal to 2 KN/m ( Schedule 3.1.II – Values of the operation loads for various building
categories – Category C – susceptible crowding environment); the tests are executed by the
"Stazione Sperimentale del Vetro" and the TÜV SUD. Type of glass according to UNI EN 12600;
class 1(B)1.

RESISTENZA AL CARICO LINEARE

LINEAR LOAD PERPENDICULAR TO
THE GLASS RESISTANCE
Consiste nell’applicare una forza orizzontale di 2000 N/m all’altezza
del corrimano per un tempo di 900 secondi ovvero 15 minuti.
Al rilascio del carico non ci devono essere rotture o deformazioni
evidenti (la misura delle deformazioni residue viene eseguita dopo 5
minuti dallo scarico completo).
The test consists of applying a 2000 N/m horizontal
force on handrail level for 900 seconds or 15 minutes.
When the strength is released there must be no fracture
or evident deformation signs (the residual deformation
measurement is taken after 5 minutes from the release
of the complete load).
RESISTENZA AL CARICO CONCENTRATO
CONCENTRATED LOAD RESISTANCE
Applicando una forza di 500 N (circa 50kg) per 300 secondi
ad una lastra fermata dal sistema Glass U, i risultati dei test
sono stati più che positivi: al rilascio della forza non vi erano
né deformazioni né rotture.
If we apply a 500 N (50kg) driving force for 300 seconds
on a sheet blocked by the Glass U system, the results of
the test are positive: when the strength was released
there were no deformations or fractures.
RESISTENZA ALL’IMPATTO
IMPACT RESISTANCE
La prova consiste nel far impattare un vetro supportato
dal profilo ad “U” con un corpo di 50 kg di massa
colpendo nel punto più critico della struttura L’altezza
di caduta del corpo battente è pari a 30 cm così come
prescritto dalla UNI 10807.
Al termine della prova non si sono riscontrate rotture o
deformazioni evidenti del supporto di alluminio
The test consists of impacting a glass supported by
the "U" profile with a 50 kgs body , by impacting it in
the most critical point of its structure. The fall of the
swinging body is equal to 30 cm as prescribed in the UNI
10807. At the end of the test there were no fractures or
evident deformations on the aluminium support.
RESISTENZA ALLA CORROSIONE
CORROSION RESISTANCE
I prodotti sono stati inseriti in una camera in grado
di eseguire la prova in conformità alla Norma ISO
9227:2006. La camera nebulizza una soluzione di
Cloruro di Sodio (NaCl) al 5% con pH compreso fra 6,5 e
7,2 ad una temperatura costante di 35°C. Durata della
prova: 120 ore.
The products have been put inside a saline fog room, to
carry out the test according to ISO 9227:2006.
The room nebulises a solution of salt NaCI at 5% with
pH level between 6.5 and 7,2 at a constant temperature
of +35°C.
Length of the test : 120 hours.

Forare la parete in corrispondenza dei fori del profilo
utilizzando la punta più adatta.
Drill the wall in correspondence of the holes of the
profile to be used with
the appropriate drill
Utilizzare viti M12 AISI 316 (serraggio di 20 Nm) con
il tassello più idoneo alla superficie su cui andrà ancorato il parapetto. Rispettare le coppie di serraggio
fornite dal produttore dei tasselli.
Use screws M12 AISI 316 (tightening 20Nm) with the
screw anchor more suitable to the surface on which
the railing will be secured.
Respect the torque wrench setting given by the
producer of the anchors
Installare il carter di copertura fori
su tutta la lunghezza del profilo ad U
Inserire all’interno del profilo in alluminio la
guarnizione ad U prescelta
Install the carter to cover the screws for the whole
length of the U shaped profile
Insert in the aluminium profile the chosen U shaped
rubber gasket
Adagiare il vetro all’interno del profilo in gomma.
Fissare il tutto utilizzando i cunei dentati.
Posizionare un cuneo per entrambi i lati
del vetro e ripetere l’operazione
ogni 80 cm.
Put the glass inside the rubber gasket
Fix the whole structure using the toothed wedges.
Place a wedge on both sides of the glass and repeat
the operation every 80 cm.
Terminare il montaggio applicando
le guarnizioni di chiusura per proteggere il sistema
dagli agenti atmosferici.
Finish the assembling by putting the closing gaskets
to protect the system against the weather (rain,
snow, etc.)

il produttore Ind.i.a. S.p.A.. Ind.i.a.raccomanda sempre di installare il corrimano al termine della realizzazione
ISPEZIONE, MANUTENZIONE
L’installazione delle attrezzature deve essere effettuata da personale competente, secondo le indicazioni indicate sulle schede tecniche fornite da Ind.i.a. S.p.A. Sono necessarie manutenzioni e controlli continui per poter mantenere in efficienza e
garantire la perfetta funzionalità delle ringhiere. Esclusivamente personale competente e qualificato deve effettuare la cura, la manutenzione e l’ispezione. A tal proposito si consiglia di impiegare personale indicato dalla ditta costruttrice; in caso
contrario l’Ind.i.a. S.p.A. declina ogni responsabilità.
ISTRUZIONI DI PULIZIA
Si usano parti metalliche in acciaio inox garantendo in tal modo una resistenza alle diverse condizioni atmosferiche. Per la pulizia delle ringhiere non utilizzare acidi, soluzioni alcaline, agenti aggressivi, abrasivi e corrosivi.
WARNINGS
Keep this book and particularly the installation manual. Carefully read the instruction manual before assembling and installing the article.
Do not forget to act always in accordance with the law in force in the country of destination and for special constructions check the local or national construction rules (for example in Germany the DIN 18065 and the law: Bauo Bauordungdrechtes).
Install the article as indicated in the relevant installation manual. Do not install or use the article if you have doubts concerning its installation, do not use or install the product if you are missing some pieces of its kit. In such cases, contact your
local dealer or the manufacturer Ind.i.a. S.p.A. The installation of the handrail is strongly recommended by Ind.i.a.
check, maintenance
The installation of the articles has to be carried out by skilled workers, following the instructions indicated in the technical sheets supplied by Ind.i.a. S.p.A. Maintenance operations and checking are periodically needed in order to grant the perfect
functionality and efficiency of the railings. Inspection and maintenance operations have to be carried out only by competent and skilled workers.
We therefore suggest to employ workers indicated by the manufacturer, otherwise Ind.i.a. S.p.A. refuses all responsibilities.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
The use of stainless steel metallic parts guarantees the resistance to the different atmospheric conditions. To clean the railings do not use acids, alkaline solutions, aggressive, abrasives or corrosives agents.
