Perché esiste il residuo magnetico?
Negli ultimi anni va sempre più consolidandosi l’utilizzo delle attrezzature magnetiche nei processi produttivi e gli enormi vantaggi generati dall’incremento della produttività tendono spesse volte a mascherare le piccole problematiche, comunque risolvibili, legate al residuo
magnetico del pezzo lavorato sfruttando il fissaggio magnetico.
In aggiunta vi sono dei processi ove il residuo magnetico è presente
per cause non necessariamente imputabili alle attrezzature magnetiche
in senso stretto ma, per esempio, a delle induzioni elettromagnetiche
generate da altre applicazioni (circuiti induttivi legati alla saldatura
ad arco etc...)
Come risolverlo?
Il problema del residuo magnetico è risolvibile attraverso delle apparecchiature denominate demagnetizzatori che distruggono il campo
magnetico residuo presente all’interno del pezzo metallico. Alcune
informazioni sono estremamente importanti per definire lo strumento
più adatto sia tecnicamente che commercialmente a risolvere il
problema. Di seguito trovate alcune di queste fondamentali informazioni.
Tipo di pezzo da smagnetizzare
Bisogna conoscere la forma, la composizione chimica del materiale,
il suo trattamento esterno, perché il residuo magnetico può essere di
difficile rimozione proprio a causa di queste particolarità.
Criterio di accettabilità del residuo finale
Si deve sapere quanto residuo magnetico (in Gauss, Ampere-metro,
milliTesla) voglio avere dopo la smagnetizzazione. Questa è una delle
informazioni più difficili da stabilire perché mancano gli strumenti in
azienda per farlo. È utile allora una collaborazione con il produttore
per capire bene l’idea di quantità magnetica di residuo che soddisfa
la qualità finale del prodotto.
why does magnetic residual exist?
in the last years the utilisation of magnetic equipments in the production process has been consolidated more and more.
The enourmus advantages created from the production increase,tend,
sometimes,to mask the small, and always solvable, problematics lied
to the magnetic residual of the piece worked using magnetic fixing.
Moreover there are some process where the magnetic residual is not
strictly due to the magnetic equipments, but from other factors like for
example electromagnetic inductions generated from other applications
(inductive circuites lied to the arc-welding etc....)
How to solve it?
the problem of magnetic residual can be solved by means of equipments called demagnetizers which destroy the residual magnetic field
inside the piece. Some information are extremely important to state the
best instrument to solve the problem.
here below some of these fondamental information.
Kind of the piece to be demagnetized
It is important to know the shape, the chemical composition of the
material and its external treatement because the magnetic residual can
be of hard removal owing to these particular features.
Acceptability criterion for the final residual
It is important to know how much magnetic residual is required after
the demagnetisation (magnetic residual can be expressed in gauss,
ampere-metro, milli-tesla). This is one of the most difficult information
to state owing to the lack of specific instruments to measure this
values. Consequently a strict co-operation with the producer it is very
useful in order to state how much magnetic residual can satisfy the
final quality of the product.
Svolgimento dell’operazione
Con quale processo si intende operare: manualmente, automaticamente, a fine linea di produzione etc. La SPD produce da anni anche
attrezzature complesse che permettono di ottenere buoni risultati di
smagnetizzazione anche a cicli operativi molto rapidi e automatizzati
con un impatto sulla gestione produttiva molto basso.

DEMAGNETIZZATORE PORTATILE
PORTABLE DEMAGNETIZER
Il demagnetizzatore portatile si utilizza per togliere il residuo magnetico
lasciato su pezzi metallici dopo una lavorazione con piano magnetico.
L’utilità dell’attrezzo è data dal fatto che, a differenza dei tradizionali demagnetizzatori da banco, la smagnetizzazione avviene
senza muovere il pezzo dalla sua sede. Simile ad un “ferro da stiro”
permette, attraverso lo scorrimento sul pezzo magnetizzato, di annullare il campo mangnetico sulla superficie ove il demagnetizzatore è
stato passato. Non ha una grande resa su pezzi metallici molto grandi
a causa della grande massa ferrosa rispetto alle piccole dimensioni
del nostro articolo. Su richiesta, può essere fornito anche a 24 Volt.

MAGNETIC RESIDUAL
The portable demagnetizer is used to remove magnetic residual
absorbed during machining of a ferrous metal in contact with
magnetic cuck. This equipment is particulary useful in that allows
workpieces be demagnetizer without needing to move them.
Like to a “iron” allows, by sliding over the magnetized piece, to
annul the mgnetic field on the surface where the demagnetizer
was passed. It have not a big performance on very big metallic
pieces because of the big ferrous mass as regards to the little
dimensions of our article. On request must be supplied also with
24 Volt.

BENCH DEMAGNETIZERS
Il demagnetizzatore da banco è un apparecchio adatto alla
smagnetizzazione di piccoli oggetti di metallo con residuo
magnetico dovuto ad un processo lavorativo con piano magnetico.
I particolari da smagnetizzare devono essere posti sopra la carcassa dell’attrezzo che dopo qualche secondo di lavoro ne
effettua la totale smagnetizzazione. Pratico e leggero può stare
su piccoli banchi di lavoro senza alcun ingombro. Non è adatto a smagnetizzare materiali ad alta resistenza e pezzi ferrosi di
grandi dimensioni.
This article is suitable for demagnetizating little metallic pieces
with magnetic residual retained after machining on magnetic
chuck. Put the pieces over the article body, and after few
seconds, will be completely demagnetized.
Very handly and light can stay on the work bench without obstructing it.
Not suitable for demagnetized materials with high resistence and
big dimensions.

Il demagnetizzatore da banco potenziato pemette la smagnetizzazione sopratutto su piastre e pezzi metallici di medie dimensioni. L’operazione avviene mediante lo scorrimento del pezzo sulla

dimensions. It will be happen by sliding the piece on the demagnetizer plate form right toward left, controlling the speed according to the dimensions of the working metallic piece.
The sliding of the piece let it meet alternate magnetic fields,
destroyng in this case the residuals inside to the piece.
It is not advised with plate being more than 30 mm thick.

di qualsiasi pezzo che abbia residuo magnetico difficilmente
eliminabile, con la semplice operazione di far passare una o più
volte il pezzo attraverso il foro o tunnel di demagnetizzazione.
È possibile richiedere versioni con passaggi di luce di forma e
dimensione speciali. L’attrezzo esiste anche nella versione NO
FLUX-BASSA FREQUENZA vale a dire con una potenza demagnetizzante vicina a 2 o 3 gauss di residuo.

Sono frutto dell’esperienza di tanti anni a contatto con le
problematiche del residuo magnetico. Sfruttando la possibilità di
smagnetizzare modificando la frequenza della corrente è possibile ottenere risultati finali impensabili con un normale smagnetizzatore a tunnel (vedi DE30). Ovviamente questo prodotto è
normalmente progettato a partire dalle esigenze del cliente: di
residuo magnetico, di processo produttivo, di automazione di
fabbrica.
Le parti principali che compongono la soluzione sono:
- il demagnetizzatore a tunnel eseguito in dimensioni opportune
per risolvere il problema
- la struttura motorizzata atta alla automazione del processo
- una parte elettronica di comando che gestisce sia la parte motore
della struttura che la parte elettronica di smagnetizzazione.
Ovviamente il nostro sistema può essere fornito anche senza la
struttura motorizzata qualora il cliente decida, per ragioni di
costo o di processo interno, di costruire da sé la parte meccanizzata della operazione.

They are the result of a long time spent in contact with magnetic
residual problems.
Taking advantage from the possibility to demagnetize modifing
the current frequency, it is possible to obtain final results unthinkable with a standard tunnel demagnetizer (see DE30).
Obviously this items is designed according to the customer requirements in terms of magnetic residual, production process and
automation.
The main parts which compose the solution are:
- the tunnel demagnetizer, realized in the suitable dimension to
solve the problem
- the motorized structure, aimed to the authomation of the process
- the electronic component of the command, which run both the
motor part of the structure both the electronic part of demagne
tization
Our system can be supplied even without the motorized structure
if customer decide to build the mechanical part of the operation
by himself.

Ecco uno strumento semplice ed economico per misurare il
residuo magnetico presente in un pezzo
di acciao. La misura è eseguita in
Gauss e permette di stabilire, a fronte
di un criterio di accettabilità stabilita, la
bontà finale di un pezzo metallico lavorato, in
relazione al problema del residuo magnetico
presente in esso. La misura è digitale e varia
da -1999 a +1999 gauss. Prodotto nei nostri
stabilimenti di Caravaggio (BG) è uno strumento che tutte le officine dovrebbero avere
a disposizione.
Here is a simple and cheap instrument for measuring the
magnetic residual present in a piece of steel.
The measurement is made in Gauss and allow to
state, once estabilished a criterion of stability, the
final quality of metallic piece machined, in
relation to the magnetic resudual problem
of it. The measure is digital and goes from
-1999 up to +1999 gauss.
Manufactured in our machine work in
Caravaggio (BG), this is an instrument that
all work shop should have on disposal.

HOW DOES FUNCTION
Basta accendere lo strumento e appoggiarlo sulla
zona del pezzo metallico da controllare; sul display
vi apparirà il valore in gauss del residuo magnetico
presente in quel punto del pezzo. All’interno della
confezione d’acquisto troverete un libretto dettagliato che vi spiega il funzionamento del prodotto.
Switch on the instrument and put in on the area of
the metallic piece wich must be cheked: on the
display will appear the value, in gauss, of the
residual magnetism present into the verified area.
A detailed manual about the functioning of the

lavori dove è necessaria una buona visibilità. Grazie all’ingrandimento permesso dalla sua lente e all’illuminazione fornita dal

until 32 mm of diameter. The clamping on the support and the
rigidity gave to the tool, allows to obtain borings with quality
position extremely definited. Thanks to the adapter supplied, is
possible to hook to the support a lot of drills type available on the
market (please specificy the model at the purchaising time).

Consigli per l’utilizzo
Pulire con cura la parte sulla quale deve essere fissata la base magnetica in modo da rendere
massima la forza magnetica di attrazione. Posizionare il supporto nel modo desiderato e dare
tensione. Fissare la catena di sicurezza con il moschettone, per salvaguardare l’utilizzatore da
eventuali problemi di caduta di tensione e quindi del pezzo da lavorare. Con il supporto magnetizzato è possibile, sbloccando la leva vicino alla base, attuare una rotazione di 350° intorno alla
colonna e spostare in avanti o indietro di 26 mm l’asse del supporto. Ricordarsi di mettere in
posizione il tirante di stabilizzazione sul retro del supporto. Una spia accesa indica che il supporto
è magnetizzato e quindi la foratura può tranquillamente essere eseguita.
Instruction for use
Carefully clean the parts on which the magnetic base is to be mounted; this will increase the
magnetic attraction force. Position the stand in the required position and switch on.
Fix the safety chain with the snaplink to avoid problems caused by voltage drops. After fixing the
magnetic support on the piece to drill, the drill can rotate 350° around the column and can be
moved forwards or backwards 26 mm (radially) to allow rapid drill positioning.
Tighten the locking lever. Place the stabiliser rod in position and ensure that it is diametrically
opposite to the drill. The warning light indicates that the drill is switched on, held onto the workpiece and ready to drill.
