For courses, elective courses and exams: - http://corsi.unibo.it/medicinaechirurgia > Studenti di scambio - Exchange students > Exchange students > 2013/2014 > Courses+Elective courses+Exams - F.A.Q.s For clinical rotations: - http://corsi.unibo.it/medicinaechirurgia > Studenti di scambio - Exchange students > Exchange students > 2013/2014 > Clinical rotations - F.A.Q.s Note on clinical rotations: by default, clinical rotations are scheduled to start on the same week in which courses start (see p. 6 for semester dates). If you wish to start later than that date, you must inform the Erasmus Office about your planned date of arrival and departure by stating them on your Learning Agreement draft (see “Draft version” paragraph). Note on course and clinical rotation choices As the degrees offered by the School of Medicine are currently being reformed, lists of courses and clinical rotations (and the rules for choosing them) will change from year to year. You are strongly advised to fill in your Learning Agreement based only on the information material that refers to the A.Y. you will spend in Bologna. Draft version It is highly recommended that you send a draft version of your Learning Agreement to the School of Medicine’s Erasmus Office ([email protected]) to have it corrected before approval. In case your home University does not provide an electronic text form, you may want to download and use our form. Learning Agreement draft form: - http://corsi.unibo.it/medicinaechirurgia > Studenti di scambio - Exchange students > Exchange students > 2013/2014 > “Learning Agreement blank form” Deadlines Please remember that the draft form is to be used only for correction purposes, and cannot replace the final one signed by you and by your Home University’s coordinator; you must send the final version of your Learning Agreement to the School’s Erasmus Office (see contact details on p. 10 or at the bottom of the page) before the following deadlines. Deadlines for sending your final Learning Agreement: - Students coming for the 1st semester/full academic year: July 12th, 2013; - Students coming for the 2nd semester: December 13h, 2013. Failure to send your LA before the set deadlines may result in our inability to schedule your requested clinical rotations. Italian language courses We have no formal language requirement for 2013/2014 incoming exchange students; this means that you will not have to produce a certificate of your Italian language level. Please note, however, that courses, elective courses and clinical rotations are taught in Italian. In order to have a useful learning experience during your exchange, we strongly recommend that you have at least a B1 level of Italian language by the time you arrive in Bologna. You can improve your Italian language level with EILC courses or with the Italian language courses for exchange students offered by the University of Bologna (see links on p. 10). As every part of the exam process is managed online at the University of Bologna, you are asked to upload your list of activities on the Piano di studi online (online study plan). You can access your Piano di studi online at https://studenti.unibo.it > Piani di studio online. In order to access your Piano di studi online, you must have completed your registration at the University of Bologna and have your numero di matricola (student number). Please remember that you will not be able to sign up for and/or sit exams which are not on the Piano di studi online. Tutor-assisted appointments for filling in your Piano di studi online Incoming exchange students of the Medical Degree will be scheduled for an appointment with the School’s Erasmus Tutors, who will help with filling in the Piano di studi online. Appointments will be scheduled approximately: - in mid-November, for students coming in the 1st semester/full academic year; - upon arrival, for students coming in the 2nd semester. The School’s Erasmus Tutors are always available during office hours in case you need to change your Piano di studi online (i.e. if you change your Learning Agreement). You can ask for an additional tutorassisted appointment by writing at [email protected]. Exams AlmaEsami Appelli d’esame (exam dates), liste d’esame (exam lists) and verbalizzazioni (recording of marks) are all managed through the AlmaEsami application, which you can access at https://studenti.unibo.it > AlmaEsami. Remember that you will only be allowed to sign up for exams which have been requested in your Learning Agreement and uploaded on your Piano di studi online. Appelli d’esame (exam dates) AlmaEsami will display appelli d’esame only after they have been uploaded on the website’s database. Since this procedure takes some time, it is normal that you will not see any date before the end of October. If, however, you think you are experiencing a technical problem (e.g. other students see appelli, but you do not), you can write to [email protected]. Verbalizzazione (recording of marks) At the end of the exam, your mark will be recorded both on your libretto degli esami (temporary exam record) and on AlmaEsami. AlmaEsami is the official record for exam marks at the University of Bologna. If a professor is unable to record your mark on AlmaEsami, make sure s/he writes the mark on your libretto and wait for her/him to try again in the following days. In case of further problems, please write to [email protected].
