La Facoltà che presiedo forma

ed educatore.
Nelle attività della nostra Facoltà
vengono continuamente intrecciate
la ricerca scientifica,
le sperimentazioni nei servizi
e nelle pratiche professionali,
i saperi delle organizzazioni educative.
I corsi di Laurea di base e magistrali
in Scienze dell’Educazione e Psicologia
prevedono insegnamenti di base
e caratterizzanti di pedagogia
e di psicologia, integrati
con insegnamenti filosofici, sociologici,
delle scienze giuridiche
e delle organizzazioni,
dell’antropologia e della storia.
I corsi di Laurea prevedono intense

I am the Dean of a Faculty which prepares
to the professions of educator and psychologist,
and offers Degree courses, both of the First
and Second level, providing a large range
of teachings in Pedagogy and Psychology,
completed with teachings in Philosophy, Sociology,
Law and Organization Sciences, Anthropology,
History and Languages.
The didactic proposals of our Faculty are based
on an intense activity of research and experimentation
related to professional services and activities,
to the forms of knowledge attaining
the educational organizations
and the historical and philosophical fields.
All the courses provide intense activities
of laboratory and seminar,
of practical experience and formative training,
along with the normal lectures,
and all the activities are carried out both in the seat
of the Faculty, the beautiful monastery of St. Augustine,
and at the organizations and services of the Province,
the Region and the European Union.

A sostegno delle competenze polivalenti necessarie
all’educatore professionale il corso di Laurea
in Scienze dell’Educazione propone percorsi formativi
che approfondiscono campi diversi di intervento educativo
(i cosiddetti curricula). Lo studente può così scegliere
se orientarsi verso la figura dell’educatore ambientale,
oppure verso quella dell’educatore nei servizi
per la prima infanzia oppure, ancora,
verso quella dell’educatore sociale e di comunità.
Queste tre tipologie di educatori si differenziano sostanzialmente
per gli ambiti di lavoro in cui vanno ad impiegarsi.
Le accomuna la medesima abilità di base, fondata
sulla capacità di “analizzare”, “pensare” e “progettare”
l’intervento esperto nelle situazioni individuali e sociali,
al fine di trasformare i contesti problematici
in occasioni di riflessione e di crescita per le persone
e di accompagnamento nei loro momenti di bisogno.

L’educatore ambientale approfondisce le tematiche legate
alla promozione dello sviluppo e alla valorizzazione
delle risorse naturali, culturali e sociali del territorio.
Opera nei progetti di educazione all’ambiente
in collaborazione con le scuole, con i parchi naturali,
con gli assessorati all’ambiente delle varie istituzioni pubbliche.
L’educatore ambientale studia materie
come Educazione ambientale, Psicologia dell’ambiente,
Sociologia dell’ambiente e del territorio.
L’educatore della prima infanzia
si prepara per lavorare
con i bambini dell’età prescolare
e per essere in grado di osservare
in modo scientifico lo sviluppo biologico,
mentale, psicologico
e sociale del bambino
e di accompagnarlo nei nidi,
nei servizi per le famiglie,
con gli assessorati all’educazione.

For the sake to raise
the polyvalent abilities necessary
to the professional educator
the Degree course in Educational
Studies offers formative courses

fields of educational activity
(the so-called curricula).
The student can choose in this way
whether to take up the figure
of environmental educator or the figure
of educator in the services for infancy
or, again, the figure of social
and community educator.
These three types of educator
are different substantially
because of the professional spheres
in which they operate.
It is common to them the same

The environmental educator goes deep
into the promotion of the development
and the enhancement of the natural, cultural
and social resources of the territory.
He/she is active in the projects
of environmental education collaborating
with schools, natural parks, and environmental
offices of the various public institutions.
The environmental educator studies disciplines like
Environmental Education, Environmental Psychology,
Environmental and Territorial Sociology.
Lo sviluppo delle capacità di osservazione
e di riflessione è il principale obiettivo formativo
del corso di Laurea in Scienze dell’Educazione.
Per non perdere la bussola in una società sempre
più complessa è necessario affrontare la realtà
con una mappa di saperi e di competenze
che consenta di volta in volta di leggere
il territorio locale e lo scenario globale,
di interpretare il problema dell’individuo
e della sua crescita umana e sociale,
di comprendere la condizione sociale
delle persone, le difficoltà e le opportunità
che esse possono incontrare nell’affrontare

The infancy educator
prepares him/herself to work
with children not yet of school age
and to observe scientifically
the biological, mental, psychological
and social development of children,
accompanying them to the day nursery,
to the family services,
the educational offices.
He/she studies disciplines like
Environmental Psychology,
Community Psychology, Didactics,
Work and Organization Psychology.
The social and community educator
prepares him/herself for encouraging
the relational development,
the social and professional integration
of people and the human
and cultural development
of communities, particularly
in the situations that offer hospitality
to people in trouble:
residential structures
(like communities for young mothers),
communities for drug addicts,
juvenile centres.
He/she studies disciplines
like Social Pedagogy,
Pedagogy for Disabled Persons,
Public Law, Intercultural Pedagogy.

Il corso di Laurea in Scienze dell’Educazione
prevede necessariamente un tirocinio formativo.
Ciò significa che alla fine del secondo,
oppure nel terzo anno di corso,
da studenti si diventa per qualche tempo
operatori dell’educazione professionale.
Con il sostegno di un tutor universitario,
e l’affiancamento di un esperto che già lavora
in un ente, lo studente fa esperienza diretta
di cosa significhi il lavoro dell’educatore.
In sintesi, il corso di Laurea
in Scienze dell’Educazione
prepara alle professioni di:
insegnanti di asili nido;
educatori e operatori sociali
ed assimilati;
operatori socio-assistenziali
e animatori per l’infanzia
e la prima adolescenza;
tecnici del reinserimento
e dell’integrazione sociale
degli adulti;
tecnici dei servizi
di informazione
e di orientamento scolastico
e professionale.
Tutte professioni richieste
nella provincia bergamasca,

The development of the capacities
of observation and reflection
is the main formative goal of the Degree
in Educational Studies.
In order not to get lost in a society
which is getting more complex every day
it is necessary to face up the reality
with a map of skills and competences
that allows from time to time to read
the local territory
and the worldwide scenario,
to interpret the problem
of the individual and his/her human
and social growth, to understand
the social condition of people,
the problems and the opportunities
that they can meet facing
the requests of society.
The Degree in Educational Studies requires a compulsory
formative training.
This means that at the end of the second or third year of studies,
the students become for some time operators
of professional education.
With the support of a University tutor and an expert
already working in a public office, the student directly
experiences the real meaning of his/her work as an educator.
In short, the Degree course in Educational Studies prepares
to the following professions:
Teacher of crèche;
Educator, social operator and the like;
Welfare operator and animator for infancy and childhood;
Technician for the social recovery and integration of adults;
Technician of the services of information
and school and professional guidance.
These are all professions required in the Province of Bergamo,
which is particularly rich in cooperative associations
and various centres taking care of families, children, old people,
individuals and groups both Italian and foreign.
In order to make the participation to the University courses
of the first year, easier the students enrolled
for the Degree course in Educational Studies
have to take a test for the evaluation of their preparation.
Special integrative course will help the less prepared students
along the first year of studies.

of Psychological Studies.

La Psicobiologia studia i correlati
neuronali dei processi psichici

Psychobiology studies the neuronal correspondences
of the psychic processes (brain and nervous system).
Psychometry deals with the methods by which
psychology gathers material about its theories.
Development Psychology studies the processes
of the psychic changes accompanying
the individuals along their lifetime.
Social Psychology studies the phenomena
of communication and interaction
among the individuals in a social contexts.
Organization Psychology is interested in understanding
the psychological aspects of the work contexts.
Dynamic Psychology analyzes the dynamic processes
of the unconscious mind.
Finally, Clinical Psychology deals with the most
critical situations of individuals, families
and institutions.
The Degree in Psychological Studies
therefore aims at giving the fundamental knowledge
in all the branches of the modern psychological science,
on a standpoint both theoretical, methodological, and practical.
Besides the theoretical courses there are some laboratories
where the students, together with their tutor teachers,
will be able to observe and apply the analyses
and interpretations of the most interesting
and widespread psychological phenomena
(in Social Psychology, Psychobiology, and Clinical Psychology).

Il corso di Laurea in Scienze Psicologiche
si articola in due curricula,
denominati Psicologia clinico-dinamica
e Psicologia dello sviluppo e sociale.
Ciò significa che, dopo il secondo anno,
gli studenti potranno decidere se inserire
nel loro piano di studi esami che approfondiscano
l’ambito della psicologia
applicata ai fenomeni sociali
oppure quello della psicologia che studia
la movimentata dialettica della coscienza umana.

di lavorare in attività di ricerca

The Degree course prepares to the profession
of Psychologist technician and operator of the social services.
This profession allows the graduate to work making empirical
and experimental research and scheduling psychological and
psycho-social interventions, to carry out psycho-social and
psycho-educational interventions for the development of
individual and social possibilities, to use the learned instruments
(dialogue, psychometrical tools, observation) with individuals,
families and groups, to perform his/her activity in public and

To practise the profession of psychologist
it is necessary to take a public examination
at the end of the studies.
After this examination it is possible to enter
the Psychological Council.
The First level Degree course permits to enter
Section B of the Council,
while the Second level Degree permits to enter
Section A of the Council.
In order to enter the Professional Council
the schedule provides for a training
at the end of the basic Degree (to enter Section B)
and another one at the end
of the Second level Degree (to enter Section A).
The Degree in Psychological Studies
has a scheduled number
(300 students each first year).
In order to get the enrolment it is therefore
necessary to pass the test
organized by the University of Bergamo
usually each year in the first week of September.

Gli studenti
che si iscrivono
alla Laurea magistrale
in Scienze Pedagogiche
si preparano alle funzioni
di coordinamento, supervisione,
consulenza e direzione
delle organizzazioni sociali
impegnate nell’educazione
extra-scolastica.
I due anni di iter formativo della Laurea magistrale
propongono un percorso di acquisizione
di capacità di analisi dei contesti complessi,
di conoscenze e di metodologie operative
nel campo della progettazione educativa,
di apprendimento e messa alla prova
delle tecniche di monitoraggio
e valutazione degli esiti degli interventi,
di conoscenze dei processi della formazione formale,
non formale e informale, di messa alla prova
di strumenti in grado di sostenere
sia le fragilità e i disagi,
sia l’innovazione formativa e la valorizzazione
delle risorse delle persone e delle organizzazioni.

In the two years of formative process
of the Second level Degree
the students become capable to analyze
complex contexts, and acquire skills
and operative methodologies regarding
educational planning, learning,
and control of the techniques
for measuring and evaluating the results
of the interventions done;
besides, they learn the processes
of formal, non formal and informal
education, and how to check the tools
aimed at supporting on the one hand
difficulties and fragilities,
on the other the formative innovation
and the increase in resources
of people and organizations.

La preparazione teorica ed applicativa conseguita
nel corso di Laurea in Scienze Psicologiche
viene approfondita nel corso di Laurea magistrale
in Psicologia Clinica

Il corso privilegia
un’impostazione
attenta ai rapporti
tra soggettività individuale
e dinamiche familiari e sociali.
Prepara psicologi clinici
capaci di operare
in piena autonomia
come liberi professionisti
nei servizi alla persona –
pubblici o privati –
e nelle organizzazioni.
La proposta
di una psicologia clinica
attenta ai contesti organizzativi
e al diritto di famiglia
fornisce inoltre agli studenti
del corso di Laurea magistrale
in Psicologia Clinica
competenze
per un loro inserimento
nelle aziende
(selezione del personale
e gestione delle risorse umane)
e favorisce la possibilità
di collaborazione
con i tribunali.
