Il Piz Corvatsch appartiene geograficamente al massiccio del Bernina.
È situato nell’Alta Engadina a circa 5 – 10 km a sud di St. Moritz.
È la cima accessibile più alta dell’Engadina e comprende la più vasta
regione di sport invernali della Svizzera.
Geographically seen Piz Corvatsch belongs to the range of the
Bernina group. It is situated about 5 – 10 km south of St. Moritz in the
Upper Engadin. It is the highest mountain accessible by cable car in
the Engadin and part of the biggest Swiss winter sports region.

Laghi, boschi, cime sopra i 3000 m s.l.m. ricoperti di ghiacciai: l’Engadina
è uno straordinario regalo della natura. Collocata nel cuore di questa
valle incantata, tra St. Moritz, Silvaplana e Sils, s’innalza l’imponente
vetta del Corvatsch. La prima funivia toccò questo punto celestiale 50
anni fa, inaugurando un paradiso sciistico. La stazione in vetta si trova a
3303 m s.l.m. ed è la più alta delle Alpi orientali. La veduta panoramica
sul paesaggio lacustre dell’Alta Engadina e sul massiccio del Bernina fa
battere il cuore degli amanti delle escursioni e delle persone dedite ai
piaceri. Benvenuti: a perdita d’occhio è l’estate più bella.

Nel ristorante panoramico Corvatsch cenate al cospetto delle maestose
vette del Piz Bernina (4049 m s.l.m.) o del Piz Roseg (3937 m s.l.m.). A

dando forma a un paesaggio armonioso. Il clima secco engadinese regala

The Engadin is a unique gift of nature: lakes, forests and glaciated mountains. In this paradise, between St. Moritz, Silvaplana and Sils, towers the
impressive Mount Corvatsch. Fifty years ago, the cable car started its
operation on top of this breath-taking mountain. The top station is on
3303 m a.s.l. and is the highest of the Eastern Alps. Hikers can enjoy a
beautiful and stunning round view on the Engadin lakes and the Bernina

Chi desidera esplorare la bellezza del paesaggio alpino dell’Alta Engadina
a piedi, deve recarsi nella regione del Corvatsch: un incantevole approccio
alla natura che non cesserà di entusiasmare. Il simbolo delle Alpi altoengadinesi è raggiungibile agevolmente da diverse vie: molti sentieri collegano Sils, Silvaplana, St.Moritz o Pontresina con il Corvatsch. Superate
le salite, i percorsi si snodano oltre i margini del bosco, la cui posizione è
unica per l’imprendibile vista su ghiacciai e laghi alpini.
If you want to experience the mountains of the Upper Engadin by foot,
you have to get familiar with Corvatsch – it will be an enchanting and
inspiring encounter again and again. The symbol of the Alps of the Upper Engadin is easily accessible: There is a big number of hiking trails
that start from Sils, Silvaplana, St.Moritz or Pontresina and lead to and
around Corvatsch. After a short time you will be above the tree line
from where you can enjoy breathtaking views on glaciers and lakes.
Sils – Marmoré – Lej Sgrischus – Val di Fex – Sils.
Il sentiero sale dalla Casa Nietzsche (1809 m s.l.m.) tra prati e boschi
fino a Marmoré (2202 m s.l.m.). Da qui si schiude un panorama mozzafiato sui laghi e la Val di Fex. Una leggera salita porta all’Alp Munt, passando dal Lej Sgrischus (2618 m s.l.m.) e Il Piz Chüern (2689 m s.l.m.) è
raggiungibile in 30 minuti. Un sentiero segnalato riporta a valle, attraversando i pascoli dalla ricca flora alpina. Da Curtins si può rientrare a
Sils in carrozza trainata da cavalli. Tempo di marcia: circa 5 – 6 ore; grado
di difficoltà: medio – impegnativo, secondo il percorso scelto.

From the Nietzsche House (1809 m a.s.l.) on a zigzag trail through meadows and forests to the outlook at Marmoré (2202 m a.s.l.) with a great
view of the lakes and the Fex Valley with its glaciers. Light ascent to Alp
Munt via Lej Sgrischus (2618 m a.s.l.) and from there in half an hour to Piz
Chüern (2689 m a.s.l.). Descent on a marked trail over grassy slopes with
a rich alpine flora. From Curtins you can take the horse carriage to Sils.
Hiking time: about 5 – 6 hours, degree of difficulty: moderate – difficult,
depending on the trail selection.

The Via Gastronomica is a very special experience where the variety of
the local cooking is combined with the beauty of the Engadin mountain
scenery. You can hike the way you like, because the Via Gastronomica
offers different «courses» of different distances.
L’itinerario più breve, che richiede un’ora e mezza, inizia presso la stazione
a monte del Furtschellas, passa da Marmoré per condurre all’incantevole
Val di Fex, dove la Pensiun Crasta propone gustosi piatti principali. Chi
desidera completare il tour gastronomico con vista dalla vetta e sui laghi
alpini dall’acqua cristallina, s’incammina verso il Lej Sgrischus (4 ore). A
Platta, piccolo borgo situato nella parte anteriore della Val di Fex, si trova
la Pensiun Chesa Pool. Questa pensione piena di fascino seduce i passanti
con dolci irresistibili. Buon appetito! Da qui Sils è comodamente raggiungibile in mezz’ora, attraversando la selvaggia e romantica gola.
The shortest trail leads in 1.5 hours from the top station of Furtschellas
over Marmoré down to the sleepy Fex Valley where you will enjoy the
delicious main courses at Pensiun Crasta. If you want to garnish your
culinary tour with a mountain peak panorama and with crystal-clear
mountain lakes, you take the 4 hours trail to the lake Lej Sgrischus. At
the lowest hamlet of the Fex Valley called Platta the charming hotel-inn
Pensiun Chesa Pool awaits you with its irresistible sweet dishes. Enjoy
your meal! Afterwards you make a wild-romantic and gentle half an
hour walk through the gorge down to Sils.

La passeggiata inizia presso la stazione a monte della funivia Furtschellas
(2312 m s.l.m.) e porta, dapprima lungo il sentiero a zig-zag, in direzione
Alp Munt. Poco dopo la Via dell’acqua devia a sinistra e da qui va affrontato
un breve tratto di salita. Con la scusa di voler ammirare la splendida vista
offerta dalla vallata, è facile riprendere fiato...

Soon the water path turns left and you’ll have a short and steep ascent
in front of you. You may use the excuse to enjoy the great view of the
valley for a little rest in between.
Al termine della salita, il sentiero porta rapidamente al «Lejin Cristal».
In autunno il laghetto è amabilmente incorniciato dai caratteristici batuffoli dei pennacchi. Si prosegue poi fino al «Lejin Magnetit», il più
elevato dei sei laghetti alpini, che giace, allungato e placido, lungo un
dirupo. Seguendo un piccolo ruscello di montagna si raggiunge il più
grande dei sei laghetti, il «Lejin Malachit».
After this ascent the hike brings you in short time to «Lejin Cristal». In
fall this lake is encircled by cotton grass. The path brings you then to
«Lejin Magnetit», the highest of all six mountain lakes, which has a long
shape and lies along a rock. A small alpine creek shows you the way to
the largest of the six lakes, «Lejin Malachit».

...e prati alpini in fiore.
Qui, all’inizio dell’estate i prati alpini si vestono del giallo delle numerose pulsatille. In prossimità del laghetto «Lejin Rhodonit» si trova un
nuovo focolare con legna per le grigliate. La Via dell’acqua s’incrocia poi
con il sentiero escursionistico che da Corvatsch-Murtèl porta alla funivia del Furtschellas. Presto si raggiunge il «Lejin S-chaglia». Anziché
prendere il sentiero diretto per la funivia del Furtschellas, svoltate a
sinistra per salire piacevolmente fino al «Lejin Epidot». Il laghetto giace
ameno sul piano e, visitandolo nel periodo giusto, sarete ripagati dalle
macchie celesti dell’eritrichio nano presente sulla riva nord. Purtroppo
il periodo di fioritura di questa pianta tappezzante è molto breve. A
questo punto non rimane che la discesa fino alla stazione a monte della funivia Furtschellas.
Merenda con vista panoramica.
Vale sempre la pena sostare nel ristorante di montagna La Chüdera per
la merenda o per gustare ottimi cibi e bevande prima di tornare nella
valle. Questa passeggiata offre piacevoli sorprese a seconda delle condizioni meteorologiche.
...and blooming alpine meadows.
In spring the alpine meadows all around are completely yellow because
of the numerous pasqueflowers. There is a newly built open fireplace with
wood located near the «Lejin Rhodonit». Now, the water path turns into
the usual hiking trail that goes from Corvatsch-Murtèl to the Furtschellas cable car, and soon you will achieve «Lejin S-chaglia». Instead of
taking the direct trail to the Furtschellas cable car, you turn left and
ascend to «Lejin Epidot». The small lake lies there, full of grace and if
you are there at the right time, it will show you a spot of dwarf forgetme-not at the northern shore. Unfortunately, this cushion plant only
blooms a very short time. And now you only have to descend back to the
mountain station Furtschellas.
Marenda with a round-view.
It is always worth taking a break at the mountain restaurant La Chüdera
to have a «Marenda». Enjoy some good food and something to drink
before returning to the valley again. Depending on the weather and the
season of the year this hike always has some surprise ready for you.

pargoli si scatenano liberamente, il tempo fino all’ora di pranzo vola e i
genitori si concedono un meritato relax.
Vivaci caprette nane e vispi coniglietti alpini entusiasmano i piccini a
2312 m s.l.m. – Situato presso la stazione a monte della funivia Furtschellas e nelle immediate vicinanze del ristorante di montagna La Chüdera,
il mini zoo è un divertimento speciale per i bambini. Durante la stagione
estiva ospita morbide caprette nane e tenerissimi coniglietti alpini: da
toccare e accarezzare. Un’avventura rilassante per piccoli e grandi.

The two playgrounds on Furtschellas and Corvatsch Murtèl await the little summiteer with various entertainment facilities. While Mum and Dad
enjoy a break, the children can play outside and the time until lunch flies.
The small discoverers will for sure be wide-eyed. Lively dwarf goats
and nimble mountain rabbits welcome you at 2312 m a.s.l. – The mini
zoo at the top station of Furtschellas right next to the mountain restaurant La Chüdera is a nice pleasure for children. During the summer
season this is the place where the shaggy dwarf goats and the soft
and cosy mountain rabbits live: you can touch and caress them. It also
offers a playground to let off steam – and for the parents a few hours
to relax.

Biglietto direttamente all’ospite
In ferie bisognerebbe mettere da parte l’impazienza. Ma il biglietto «tutto incluso» degli impianti va, in realtà, proprio a vantaggio di chi non vede l’ora di salire
in vetta: viene infatti consegnato già al check-in in hotel. Così, il giorno successivo, c’è tempo per bere un secondo cappuccino o affrontare subito la vetta successiva. Il biglietto consente infatti l’accesso diretto all’impianto – senza tempi di
attesa alla cassa.

Your ticket delivered by hand
Impatience is normally something you should leave at home when on holiday.
However, for those who simply can’t wait to stand on the mountain peak there
is the «Mountain Railways All-Inclusive» ticket. You receive your mountain railways ticket when you check into your hotel, meaning that on the next day you
are all set to go. This means you can step straight onto the cable car without
having to queue at the ticket office, leaving you time to enjoy a second cappuccino or perhaps to conquer the next highest peak.

Biglietti e abbonamenti: Tutti i biglietti e gli abbonamenti sono personali e non cedibili. Vanno esibiti al personale addetto su richiesta. I biglietti e gli abbonamenti sono validi solo di giorno, durante
gli orari d‘esercizio pubblicati, e durante i viaggi serali della Muottas Muragl Bahn secondo gli orari.
Con l‘acquisto si stipula un contratto e si accettano senza riserve diritti e doveri, un contratto con
l‘accettazione senza riserve di diritti e doveri, incluse le condizioni contrattuali generali.
Tickets for travel and subscriptions: All tickets for travel and all subscriptions are personal property
and are non-transferable. On request, they must be shown to mountain railway staff. Tickets for
travel and subscriptions are only valid during the day and during public opening hours with the exception of scheduled evening travel on the Muottas Muragl funicular. Purchase constitutes a contract whereby the rights and obligations contained within the general terms and conditions shall be
accepted.
Modifica di prezzi e prestazioni: L‘Engadin St. Moritz Mountain Pool si riserva espressamente il diritto di modificare le descrizioni delle prestazioni e le indicazioni tariffarie sia in Internet che negli
opuscoli e listini prezzi fino alla stipula del contratto.
Interruzione del servizio: A seconda delle condizioni meteorologiche, per motivi di sicurezza l‘esercizio degli impianti può essere ridotto o interrotto del tutto. Da ciò non deriva alcun diritto al rimborso.
Lo stesso vale per irregolarità del servizio dovute ad es. a difetti tecnici o sospensioni del servizio
elettrico.
Rimborsi per malattia/infortunio: In caso di malattia o infortunio i biglietti pluri-giornalieri validi per
oltre 2 giorni e gli abbonamenti stagionali e annuali vengono proporzionalmente rimborsati dietro
esibizione di un certificato rilasciato da un medico della regione. Per eventuali rimborsi vale il giorno
della restituzione e non dell‘infortunio, che non sia tuttavia antecedente al primo giorno di mancato
uso. Al termine della stagione attuale non si effettuano rimborsi.
Biglietti dimenticati e smarriti: Chi dimentica il proprio biglietto o abbonamento può acquistare un
nuovo biglietto presso una qualsiasi cassa dell‘ESMP. Una volta esibito il biglietto dimenticato e
controllati i viaggi effettuati, il nuovo biglietto viene rimborsato presso qualsiasi cassa dell‘ESMP
(meno contributo spese di CHF 15.–). I biglietti smarriti non vengono rimborsati o sostituiti (eccezione: abbonamenti con foto).
Viaggi senza biglietto valido/abuso: Chi usufruisce dei servizi degli impianti di risalita senza biglietto valido, deve pagare immediatamente una penale di CHF 150.– oltre al prezzo del biglietto. Se il
prezzo del biglietto e la relativa penale non vengono saldati subito, si applicano altri CHF 50.– di diritti amministrativi.
Qualsiasi abuso relativo ai biglietti, in particolare l‘uso di abbonamenti personali da parte di persone
diverse dall‘intestatario oppure l‘uso di biglietti manipolati, comporta il ritiro immediato del biglietto
incluso il supporto dati, senza rimborso, ed è considerato come un viaggio senza biglietto. Il ricorso
a servizi degli impianti di risalita (ad es. impianti, piste) senza biglietto valido è soggetto a denuncia.
Il proprietario del biglietto è tenuto a conservarlo in modo sicuro e a impedirne l‘impiego abusivo. Se
il biglietto viene impiegato illegalmente, l‘azienda può ritirarlo e annullarlo senza rimborso. Ci si riserva il diritto di perseguire penalmente il responsabile. Su richiesta degli addetti degli impianti di
risalita, il cliente è tenuto a esibire un documento.
ENGADINcard: La ENGADINcard è un supporto dati che consente l‘accesso senza contatto a impianti e piste ed è emessa ad una tariffa di CHF 10.–. L‘ENGADINcard viene ritirata presso qualsiasi sede
di rilascio con restituzione dei CHF 10.–, a meno che non sia danneggiata. La restituzione va effettuata entro 72 ore dalla scadenza del biglietto o dell‘abbonamento acquistati. Dopo il termine di
restituzione di 72 ore, l‘ESMP non è più tenuta a riacquistare la card. Il supporto dati può essere
usato più volte ed in parte anche in altre aree. Le CG integrali si trovano alle casse degli impianti di
risalita e al sito: www.engadin.stmoritz.ch. Si riserva il diritto di effettuare eventuali modifiche.

Changes to prices and services: The Engadin St. Moritz Mountain Pool expressly reserves the right
to make changes to descriptions of services and price details both online as well as in brochures and
price lists for the duration of the contract.
Suspension of transport services: According to weather conditions and for safety reasons, mountain railway services may be reduced or suspended entirely. This shall not entitle ticketholders to
compensation of any kind. This shall also apply to disruptions to service e.g. in the case of a technical fault or a power failure.
Compensation in the case of illness or injury: Multi-day tickets valid for 2 days or more, as well as
annual subscriptions shall be refunded on a pro-rata basis upon presentation of a doctor’s note
from a doctor in the region. In the case of refund this shall be based on the day the ticket was presented and not the day of the accident, at the earliest the first day on which the subscription was
not used. After the end of the current season refunds shall no longer be possible.
Lost and forgotten tickets for travel: If you have forgotten your ticket or annual subscription pass,
then please buy a new ticket at any one of the ESMP ticket offices. Upon presentation of the forgotten ticket and confirmation of which trips it has been used for, you will receive a full refund for the
extra ticket purchased at any of the ESMP ticket offices (minus a loss compensation of CHF 15.–).
There shall be no refund or replacement of lost tickets for travel with the exception of subscriptions
with a photograph.
Travel without a valid ticket/misuse: Anyone using mountain railway services without a valid ticket
for travel shall be required to immediately pay a fine of CHF 150.– as loss compensation in addition
to the price of the ticket for travel. If the price of the ticket for travel and the loss compensation fine
are not paid immediately the offender shall be required to pay an additional CHF 50.– administration fee. Any misuse of tickets for travel, in particular the use of personal subscriptions by persons
other than those holding the subscription, or the use of tickets for travel which have been manipulated in any way shall result in the immediate confiscation of the ticket, including data carrier, without compensation of any kind and the journey shall be considered as travel without a valid ticket.
The use of services provided by the mountain railway company (e.g. facilities, ski slopes) without a
valid ticket for travel shall be reported to the police. The ticket-holder should keep their ticket in a
safe place in order to minimise the possibility of misuse. Should the ticket be used in an illegal
manner the company is permitted to confiscate the ticket and render it void. The right to take legal
action is hereby reserved. All customers shall produce identification at the request of mountain
railway employees.
The ENGADINcard: The ENGADINcard is a data carrier which provides contact-free access to facilities and ski slopes. The card is issued against a deposit of CHF 10.–. The ENGADINcard can be returned to any point of purchase and exchanged for CHF 10.–, provided the card is undamaged and is
returned within 72 hours of the expiry of any ticket or subscription. After the 72-hour return period,
the ESMP is no longer required to honour the return of the CHF 10.– deposit. The data carrier can be
used multiple times and in some cases, also in other regions. A complete copy of the general terms
and conditions is available at all mountain railway ticket offices and online at www.engadin.
