It is then extremely easy to reach Tarvisio both by public transport and your own car. By train: Tarvisio Boscoverde train station (abt. 3 km from the town centre) is very well connected for several day- trips to Udine, Trieste and Venice in Italy, and to Villach, Klagenfurt and Vienna in Austria. Numerous trains depart every day from Udine to reach Tarvisio in about 40 minutes. Besides, three trips a day directly connect Venice to Tarvisio, making it easy to reach the town from every corner of Italy. The same number of trips also connect Tarvisio Boscoverde to Villach – from where it is possible to reach the main Austrian cities – Klagenfurt and Vienna (which can be reached in about 4 hours). By car: Highway A23 Alpe Adria serves the whole Tarvisio area with the exits of Pontebba (from where you can reach within 20 minutes Passo Pramollo-Nassfekd), Malborghetto-Valbruna and Tarvisio (the last exit in Italy). The A23 is a branch of the A4 Turin-Milan-Venice-Trieste highway: reaching Tarvisio by car is then the most comfortable thing one could imagine. From any city in north Italy it only takes a little more than a couple of hours to arrive in Tarvisio. For those coming from Austria or Slovenia, nothing could be easier: Tarvisio is the first exit in Italy, connected to the main highways in both countries. By plane: Tarvisio is right in the heart of the new enlarged Europe and it is well served from the main airports of middle Europe. Trieste, Klagenfurt and Ljubljana are only less than one hour away by car or train, whilst Venice and Munich airports connect Tarvisio to the main European cities.
