The word “il” comes before the number
EXCEPT FOR – “otto” and “undici” then “ l’ ”

NOT capitalized unless they are at the
beginning of a sentence.
•The calendar week begins with lunedì.
•All weekdays end in ì. The “i” has an accent
over it rather than a regular dot. Please be
sure to write it correctly!
