MY EXPECTATIONS
During my studies at the IUAV University Architecture in Venice I have
always deepen the sensory, poetic and formal part of architecture and
the part of the spaces instead of the technical/constructive one. I have
always tried to communicate something through the forms, through my
drawings and the objects I created. In the last years I had the luck to
develope a good control over the progams of graphic production and
this had lead me to deepen basic themes regarding the bidimensional
graphic sector (print and web, see www.tobiazambotti.it). I have the
intention to take advantage of my own knowledge and skills to reach
the goal of a complete management of the visual communication with
bravery and ambition. I have the expectation of enrich my competence
through the study and the confrontation with the colleagues. My hope
is to get better in every aspect starting with the human one. I want to
begin telling my suggestions through the space and the image, without
having to resort to long and boring texts.
Durante gli studi presso la Facoltà di Architettura a Venezia (IUAV) ho
sempre approfondito la parte sensoriale, poetica e formale dell’architettura e degli spazi piuttosto che quella tecnica /costruttiva. Ho sempre cercato di comunicare qualcosa attraverso le mie forme, attraverso
i miei dipinti e attraverso i miei oggetti. Negli ultimi anni ho avuto la fortuna di sviluppare un buon controllo sui programmi di produzione grafica, questo mi ha portato ad approfondire tematiche riguardanti il settore della grafica bidimensionale (stampa e web, vedi www.tobiazambotti.it).
La mia intenzione è quella di sfruttare le mie competenze/conoscenze
per arrivare ad una gestione completa della comunicazione visiva con
coraggio ed ambizione. Mi aspetto di arricchire queste mie competenze attraverso lo studio ed attraverso il confronto con i colleghi. La mia
speranza è quella di migliorare sotto ogni punto di vista, a partire da
quello umano. Voglio cominciare a raccontare le mie suggestioni attraverso lo spazio e l’immagine, senza dover ricorrere al supporto di infinite
e noiose didascalie.

“NANA’”
Legno-Casa competition
with studio R.A.R.O.
Nanà is a prototype of wooden house projected for an architectural competition LEGNO-CASA organized by Dolomiti Group s.r.l.
This house can be personalized in every aspect beginning with the disposition, the coverings and the width of the spaces. The proposal consists
in speeding up and facilitate the purchase and the personalization of a
house through an intuitive web site where it is possible to create your own
house with easy commands as if it were a pair of shoes!
Nanà è un prototipo di casa in legno progettata per il concorso di architettura LEGNO-CASA organizzato dalla Dolomiti Group s.r.l.
La casa può essere personalizzata in ogni sua caratteristica, dalla disposizione, ai rivestimenti, all’ampiezza degli spazi. La proposta consiste
nel velocizzare e facilitare l’acquisto e la personalizzazione di una casa
attraverso un sito web intuitivo, dove nel quale grazie a semplici comandi
è possibile crearsi la propria casa, come se fosse un paio di scarpe!

“SAILS SURFERS CENTRE”
Tarifa (Spain)
The principle concept of the planning proposal is based on the enclosure element as a border of the architectural project with the surrounding
area. The external triangle sequence hide some residential cells, service
areas and public areas. The residential cells enclosure is permeable; one
can see landscape pieces and it is possible to go through it thanks to the
unpredictable morphology of the sand. The roofing for the enclosed space
is also permeable. In the central area there is a patio where the space is
irregularly subdivided due to the ways that are organized on footbridges.
In this space guests can rest, relax and shelter from the sun during their
brakes from sports activities and in the evenings. Thanks to the way the
common areas are organized, they have the advantages of letting people
gather in groups, making interpersonal relations easier and widening the
sense of community connected to the surfing environment.
La proposta progettuale nasce dal recinto come confine del progetto
architettonico con l’intorno. La sequenza di triangoli esterni celano celle
residenziali, zone di servizio e spazi pubblici marginali. Il recinto composto
dalle celle residenziali funge da limite fisico permeabile alla vista verso la
spiaggia ed il mare e, a seconda della morfologia della sabbia, al passaggio. La copertura microforata sintetica filtra la luce lasciandone entrare
dei fasci tra i lembi sottoposti a diverse tensioni. Si creando zone d’ombra
dedicate allo stare e si lascia percepire l’influenza del vento in collaborazione con le aperture laterali. Nello spazio delimitato i residenti trovano il
luogo per riposare, rilassarsi e ripararsi dal sole nelle pause tra le attività
sportive e durante la sera. Nelle loro articolazioni gli spazi dello stare permettono di riunirsi in gruppi, agevolano i rapporti interpersonali e il senso
di comunità legato all’ambiente surf.

“DBHOUSE”
Pergine Valsugana (TN), Italy
It’s a restoration project of a 120 mq house which is built in Pergine Valsugana (TN). The customer wanted a warm and welcoming space, but
at the same time modern, practical and functional. The living area and
expecially the kitchen is the sharing place and therefore is at the centre of
the flat. There are two bathrooms (including the private in the double-bed
room), two bedrooms and a laundry room. The windows offer a wide wiew
on the surrounding mountains and the terrace receives the sun warmth
for most of the day. The solar panels guarantee the energy self-sufficiency and the modern doors and window limit the heat loss.
Si tratta di un progetto di restauro per una casa di 120 mq che si trova
nella periferia di Pergine Valsugana. Il committente voleva un’ambiente
caldo ed accogliente, ma allo stesso tempo moderno, pratico e funzionale.
Lo spazio giorno, in particolar modo la cucina, è il luogo della condivisione,
e si trova quindi al centro dell’abitazione.
Sono presenti due bagni (uno privato per la stanza matrimoniale), due
stanze letto ed una lavanderia/ripostiglio. Le aperture offrono un’ampia
vista sulle montagne circostanti e la terrazza riceve ll calore del sole per
gran parte della giornata. I pannelli solari garantiscono l’autosufficienza
energetica e i moderni serramenti limitano le dispersioni termiche.

“MELARFARMERSMARKET”
Flúðum, Iceland
Melar farmersmarket is an addition to the pre-existing greenhouses in the
main yard, that will improve and change the look of the area.
The interior space is not simply a shop , but also a place where you can
chat, taste the vegetables and observe closely the techniques of cultivation in the greenhouses . The relax area is composed by two comfortable
hay armchairs covered with PVC and pallets used as coffee tables. The
space of sharing is separated from the shop by a green wall made by jars
containing aromatic herbs and little plants for sale.
The vegetable is exposed directly in the greenboxes where it was harvested just few hours before.
The payment counter area is connected to the kitchen, where sauces,
jams and other products are prepared with vegetables that are exclusively grown in the greenhouses, sold directly in the store.
Melar farmersmarket si affianca alle serre già presenti sul piazzale d’ingresso, cambiando nettamente l’immagine dell’attività.
Lo spazio interno non vuole essere solo negozio, ma anche uno spazio
dove parlare, condividere, conoscere ed osservare da vicino le tecniche di
coltivazione all’interno delle serre. L’ingresso è caraterizzato da uno spazio
relax composto da comode poltrone in fieno rivestite in pvc e pallet utilizzati come tavoli da caffè. Lo spazio della condivisione è separato da quello
del negozio da un muro verde permeabile composto da vasetti contenenti
erbe aromatiche e piantine in vendita.
La verdura viene esposta direttamente nelle cassette dove essa viene
raccolta poche ore prima.
L’area della cassa è connessa alla cucina, dove vengono preparati sughi,
marmellate e altri prodotti con le verdure coltivate esclusivamente nella
serra, venduti direttamente nel negozio.

“TJALDMIÐSTÖÐINFLÚÐUM”
Flúðum, Iceland
The project for the new playground at Tjaldmiðstöðin Flúðum is set to a
grid that determine the space needed for the passage of people and play
areas for the kids. The playground wants to become the meeting point of
all the customers of the campsite, adults and kids. The flooring consists of
wood planks covers the entire surface of the lot, leaving space to the green where it needs it. The slide uses the incline of the lot, simply leaning
on sloping ground, just like the staircase, which connects the playground
with office area / bathroom.
Il progetto per il nuovo parcogiochi di Tjaldmiðstöðin Flúðum è impostato
su una griglia che definisce gli spazi necessari al passaggio di persone e
gli spazi di gioco per i più piccoli. Il parcogiochi vuole diventare il punto di
incontro di tutti i clienti del campeggio, grandi e piccoli. La pavimentazione composta da assi in legno si estende per tutta la superficie del lotto,
lasciando spazio al verde dove essa lo necessita. Lo scivolo sfrutta la conformazione del lotto, poggiandosi semplicemente sul terreno pendente,
esattamente come la scalinata, che collega lo spazio con la zona ufficio/
bagno.

“TJALDMIÐSTÖÐINFLÚÐUM”
Flúðum, Iceland
The kitchen pavilion inserts itself as an addition, in the area defined by the
old building. The old building ruins remain untouched, keeping alive its presence and its memory . The steel structure supports two plankings, one
interal and one external, each one made of 2m x 10 cm x 2cm planks. The
removal of some of these elements lets the light in, in a widespread rather than direct way. The interior space is not air conditioned. The texture
of the double-coated wood is permeable, it does not allow water and
wind in, but it lets out odours and smoke. The main entrance points at the
central area of the field, which assumes more and more the function of a
“square”. The roof, in ondulating metal sheet, recalls the color used for the
upholstery of the office and the bathrooms.
Il padiglione cucina si inserisce nell’area definita dalla vecchia costruzione; si tratta di una aggiunta. I resti della vecchia costruzione non vengono
toccati, mantenendo viva la sua presenza e la sua memoria. La struttura
aggiunta, in acciaio, sorregge due rivestimenti, uno interno ed uno esterno, composti da assi in legno 2m x 10 cm x 2cm. La sottrazione di alcuni
di questi elementi permette l’ingresso della luce, mai diretta ma bensì
diffusa. Lo spazio interno creato non è climatizzato, la tessitura creta dal
doppio rivestimento in legno è permeabile , non consente l’ingresso di
acqua e vento, ma lascia uscire gli odori ed i fumi. L’ingresso principale è
rivolto verso lo spazio centrale del campo, che assume sempre di più la
funzione di “piazza”. La copertura, in lamiera ondulata, riprende il colore
utilizzato per i rivestimenti dell’ufficio e dei bagni.

These paintings show images and ideas created by the mind and some
the result of a process of complex processing, others have already been
completed at the moment of vision. The need to create a surreal and
ethereal spaces leads to a search for those elements that have the capacity to amaze me: The suspension of architectural elements in timeless space, the presence of the human symbol of existential doubt, the
shades of color of the sky, and the power of light. It then creates a world
where the unperturbed equilibrium shapes and volumes is associated
with a depth and a dynamic expression that does not affect the universal
Si tratta di una serie di tele che riportano immagini e suggestioni create
dalla mente, alcune il risultato di un processo di elaborazione complessa,
altre già compiute nel momento stesso della visione. Il bisogno di creare
spazi surreali ed eterei porta ad una ricerca di quegli elementi che hanno
la cap cità di stupirmi: La sospensione di elementi architettonici in spazi
atemporali, la presenza dell’essere umano emblema del dubbio esistenziale, le sfumature cromatiche del cielo e la potenza della luce. Si crea
quindi un mondo dove l’equilibrio imperturbabile delle forme e dei volumi è
associato ad una profondità e ad una dinamica espressiva che non intacca l’armonia universale.

Trento, Itay
The six polystyrene totems through the representation of their roofs
in anamorphosis appear to us as towers suspended. This is a play with
perspective, it‘s possible to understand it just in one point. When you go
trought the “towers” some drawings appear to you. The position of the totems invites us to make a walk around them, so we can read the meaning
of the drawings on one side of the towers.
I sei totem in polistirolo attraverso la rappresentazione delle loro coperture in anamorfosi ci appaiono come delle torri sospese. Essendo questo un
gioco prospettico e’ possibile capirne il significato solamente da un punto
di vista. Una volta girati scopriamo che i totem non hanno la sola funzione di apparirci come delle torri sospese. La rotazione dei totem ci invita
ad effettuare un percorso attorno ad essi, ed e’ proprio grazie a questo
movimento che si scovano i significati delle opere,

“SUGGESTIONI”
New council theatre
Pergine Valsugana (TN), Italy
It is an exhibition that I organized putting together all the oil on canvas
I had at that moment and it took place at the new theatre of Pergine
between the 13th and the 25th of December, 2013. The theatre is a very
recent building and together with the attached bar, which offers relaxing
music and a warm and quiet atmosphere in a modern space, has given
a valid alternative to the guys here in Pergine and to everybody who is
looking for a different kind of bar. In this space I found the target I am
looking for, that is, interesting people who are interested in getting to know
and understand my art.
Si tratta di un esibizione che ho organizzato mettendo assieme tutti i
quadri ad olio in mio possesso in quel momento, ossia XX (il numero non
lo ricordo), che ha avuto luogo presso il nuovo Teatro di Pergine tra il 13 e
il 25 dicembre 2013. Il Teatro è una struttura di recentissima realizzazione
ed assieme al bar annesso, che offre musica rilassante e un’atmosfera
calda e tranquilla in un ambiente moderno, ha dato una valida alternativa
ai giovani perginesi e a tutti coloro che cercano un ambiente che si differenzi dal solito bar. In questo spazio ho trovato il target che cerco, ovvero
persone interessanti e soprattutto interessate a conoscere e capire la
mia arte.

“how far can imagination go? ”
Palazzo della Regione
Trento, Italy
It’s an exposition of the series “Suggestions” and “Utopy & reality” which
took place in the historical “Palazzo dela Regione” of Trento projected by
Alberto Libera. The exposition opened in the second part of February
2015 and it closed the first day of March, but thanks to the central position of the palace and therefore the influx of different personalities, it
received many positive comments.
Si tratta di un’esposizione delle opere della serie “Utopia e realtà” e “Suggestioni” presso lo storico Palazzo della Regione di Trento progettato dal
noto architetto Adalberto Libera. La mostra ha avuto luogo nella seconda
metà del mese di Febbraio (2015). Grazie alla posizione centrale del palazzo l’esposizione ha riscontrato un ottimo numero di visitatori, e fortunatamente, molti apprezzamenti.

Pouf in transparent recycled PVC 90x90x80 cm wide (1/2 people) containing dry hay, jute base allows the hay to breathe so it doesn’t rot and the
smell of dry hay is wasted in the environment.
Pouf in PVC trasparente riciclato largo 90x90x80 cm (1/2persone)
contenente fieno asciutto, la base in iuta permette al fieno di respirare
e quindi oltre a non farlo marcire fa si che il profumo dell’erba secca si
disperda nell’ambiente.

“T-SHIRT TZDR”

TZDRshirt is a project with SERIUSGRAFIA (Gardolo / TN). We made 2
models of t-shirts designs with 2 of 6 in the series “utopia & reality” of the
undersigned, or “venice” and “in & out”, through the technique of screen
printing in black ink with water. Available in sizes s, m, l, xl the TZDRshirt
are numbered (100 pieces total)to emphasize the craftsmanship of the
product. It was also designed packaging with recycled paper.
TZDRshirt è un progetto realizzato con SERIUSGRAFIA (Gardolo/TN).
Abbiamo realizzato 2 modelli di t-shirts con 2 dei 6 disegni della serie
“utopia& realtà”, ovvero “venice” e “in&out”, attraverso la tecnica della
serigrafia con inchiostro nero ad acqua. Disponibili nelle taglie s,m,l,xl le TZDRshirt sono numerate (100 pezzi totali) per sottolineare l’artigianalità del
prodotto. E’ stato inoltre progettato il packaging con carta riciclata.

under construction
TZDR WALL CLOCK is 100% handmade and 100% in natural wood, there’re
two versions, one circular and one square. The different kind of woods
create this contemporary pattern. This is a collaboration with Erik Fruet, a
good woodworker of my city.
TZDR WALL CLOCK è 100% artigianale e 100% in legno naturale, sono presenti due versioni, uno circolare e uno quadrato. La differente colorazione
naturale del legno crea un pattern contemporaneo. Questo prodotto è
frutto di una collaborazione con Erik Fruet, ottimo falegname della mia
città.

Mr.Zambotti collaborate with RARO architecture studio for a period of
five months from October 2014 until March 2015. During these months
he faced different themes both in the architecture field and in the field
of
visual communication, demostreting maturity and initiative in spite

of his young age. He showed strong attitude, curiosity and determination in developing themes that werenew for him. For example, he
developed the graphic and web communication part for one of our
client’s firm, the extension of a restaurant, the storyboard for a video,
the realization of architetonic models, the idea for a camping site and
the development of a prototype of a wooden house for an architecture
competition. Although the tasks were very different one from the other,
he demonstrated a strong ability in adapting rapidely and developing
his own alternatives with sensitivity and creativity. More over he has a
good commond of the present graphic program.

Mr Tobia Zambotti, was developing a stage from November 2013 until
February 2014 in our architecture office as a qualified collaborator. In
this period Mr Zambotti was involved in his function as a project architect, in the design phase and preliminary project phase, as weIl as in
the competition project. Mr Zambotti carried out these tasks in all cases to our complete satisfaction. We found Mr Zambotti to be a highly
responsible and committed employee, having a high degree of initiative
and sense of responsibility and exceedingly conscientious. He always
fulfilled the tasks with which he was entrusted carefully and exactly.
Thanks to the speed with which he assimilated new information, he was
able to familiarise himself with the idiom of our highly complex major
projects in the best possible way, and to resolve complicated problems
rapidly with an overview of the situation. We would particularly like to
emphasise his highly committed, reliable and systematic manner of
working, his excellent professional knowledge and his weIl grounded
drawing and CAD skills, of which he made efficient and purposeful use.
Mr Zambotti was able to find ideal solutions even in difficult situations
and when working under time pressure. Mr Zambotti was weIl able to
find his feet in the international ambience of our office. In international
projects he applied the relevant standards quickly and reliably, and
demonstrated a high degree of intercultural competence. As a result
of his loyalty and team spirit, Mr Zamb­otti was extremely popular with
his superiors and colleagues. His behaviour was at all times considerate, friendly and correct. We valued him highly as an employee. Mr Tobia
Zambotti finished his stage with us leaving our office. We are very sorry
to lose him, and would like to thank him for the valuable work he has
done for us. We wish him all the best for his personal and professional
future.

Il sig. Tobia Zambotti ha effettuato uno stage presso il nostro studio di
architettura in qualità di collaboratore qualificato, da novembre 2013 a
febbraio 2014. In questo periodo il sign. Zambotti era coinvolto in varie
funzioni come quella di architetto progettuale, nella fase di disegno
e in quella di progetto preliminare, come anche in quella competitiva.
Zambotti è riuscito a portare a termine il suo lavoro soddisfacendoci
completamente ogni volta. L’abbiamo trovato una persona altamente responsabile, un lavoratore devoto con un alto livello di iniziativa e
senso di responsabilità, ed una persona estremamente coscienziosa.
Ha sempre portato a termine i compiti assegnati con attenzione ed
esattezza. Grazie alla velocità con la quale assimilava nuove informazioni, era capace di familiarizzare in modo ottimale con la terminologia
dei progetti di maggiore complessità e di risolvere complicate problematiche in modo rapido grazie ad una visione d’insieme della situazione. Vorremmo particolarmente enfatizzare il lavoro svolto in maniera
devota, affidabile e sistematica, la sua eccellente conoscenza professionale, le sue abilità grafiche e CAD, che ha saputo utilizzare in modo
efficiente e risoluto. Il sign. Zambotti è stato in grado di trovare soluzioni ideali anche in situazioni difficili e lavorando sotto pressione. Egli
è stato altamente capace di farsi spazio nell’ambiente internazionale
del nostro ufficio. Nei progetti internazionali si è conformato a rilevanti
standard in maniera veloce e affidabile e ha dimostrato di avere un
alto livello di competenza interculturale. Come risultato della sua lealtà
e spirito di squadra, il signor Zambotti era estremamente conosciuto tra i suoi colleghi e superiori. Il suo comportamento è stato in ogni
evenienza premuroso, amichevole e corretto. Lo valutiamo altamente
come dipendente. Ha finito il suo stage con noi lasciando l’ufficio. Siamo
davvero dispiaciuti di averlo perso e vorremmo ringraziarlo per il prezioso lavoro che ha fatto per noi. Gli auguriamo ogni bene per il suo futuro
personale e professionale.
