Air transfer fire dampers are designed to shut off openings for air transfer in fire resistant walls and ceiling
slabs. Whether the openings are reliable and approved is decided by the building control authority, either
individually or as part of the entire fire protection scheme.
The air transfer fire dampers consist of:
Fire damper Type FK-K90 with general building inspectorate licence Z-41.3-321 (technical leaflet no.
4/2/EN/...)
Smoke detector Type RM-O-3-D with general building inspectorate licence Z-78.6-125 (technical
leaflet no. 4/6.3/EN/...)
Spring return actuator 24 V AC/DC or 230 V AC with two integrated limit switches
Cover grilles on both sides
The Type FK air transfer fire dampers are tested to DIN 4102 and EN 1366-2. The local legal regulations
and the licence must be complied with.
Approved installation locations are in and on the face of solid walls and ceiling slabs, in gypsum
wallboards, in lightweight partition walls and in lightweight fire walls.
The fire resistance class of the Type FK-K90 air transfer fire damper depends on the installation
application.
