Giglio means "Lily". It is the symbol of Florence, where I live. Giglio is also the name of the
island in Tuscany where I was born. The name is the one of the things the two places have in
common. The wild goats that once thrived on the island gave it the name Giglio; from the Greek
word aegilion, meaning ‘goat'."
