INFORMAZIONI ACCADEMICHE
L’Università di Gent si trova nel capoluogo delle Fiandre orientali, nel nord del Belgio. Una delle più
importanti università del Belgio, è situata nel centro di questa piccola città fiamminga. Ha circa 30.000
studenti, 11 Facoltà e 130 dipartimenti.
La Facoltà di Lettere e Filosofia offre corsi in molte lingue europee ed extra-europee. Alcuni dei corsi
sono erogati in inglese, mentre in altri casi agli studenti stranieri sono assegnati elaborati e reading list
personalizzati.
Vi sono due accordi paralleli, uno con il Dipartimento di Lingue e Culture per uno studente di arabo, e uno
con il dipartimento di Traduzione, Interpretariato e Comunicazione per due di spagnolo. La destinazione è
quindi particolarmente adatta agli studenti di arabo e spagnolo; possono tuttavia candidarsi gli studenti di
tutte le lingue offerte da questa sede.

L’offerta didattica è molto ampia e variegata. Gli studenti Erasmus
non sono legati ad un unico corso di laurea quindi solitamente
riescono a soddisfare le esigenze del loro curriculum didattico.

Housing is available at the University Hall of Residence, where a
number of rooms are reserved for international students, or at the
private market. The Housing Department advises students on finding
accommodation.
Exchange students can only apply for a room in the University Halls
of Residence after having applied as an exchange student at Ghent
