LA SOCIETA’
FORT FIBRE OTTICHE opera con successo nei
vari settori di applicazione delle fibre ottiche
e in particolar modo nella Trasmissione Dati,
nell’Illuminotecnica, nell’Endoscopia e nelle
Applicazioni Speciali.
La Società venne costituita nel 1978 con lo
scopo di promuovere la vendita di una vasta
gamma di prodotti a fibre ottiche.
L’evoluzione del mercato italiano delle fibre
ottiche coincise direttamente con l’evoluzione della FORT FIBRE OTTICHE, che dapprima, nel 1983, realizzò una unità produttiva per la connettorizzazione dei cavi ottici per la Trasmissione Dati e per l’assemblaggio di qualsiasi prodotto basato sulle
fibre ottiche e successivamente, nel 1992,
venne trasferita in una Sede più ampia e
confortevole con oltre 300 mq. di uffici e
circa 1400 mq. di laboratorio attrezzato per
la realizzazione e il collaudo di una grande
varietà di dispositivi a fibre ottiche.
Negli anni sono stati registrati notevoli successi commerciali, sia con l’acquisizione di
nuovi e importanti Clienti, sia con il perfezionamento di indispensabili accordi di collaborazione a livello internazionale.

THE COMPANY
FORT FIBRE OTTICHE works successfully in various
branches of optical fibers application, especially in Data
transmission, lighting, endoscopy and special applications.
The company has been founded on 1978 with the aim
to promote the sale of a wide range of products on the
center the optical fibers.
The evolution of the Italian market has coincided directly
with the company Fort Fibre Ottiche which at first in
1983, realized a productive unit for the connection of the
data transmission cables and then, in 1992 moved its
headquarters to a wider and comfortable seat with over
300 mq of offices and about 1400 mq of laboratory,
equipped for the realization and test of optical fiber devices.
During the years FORT FIBRE OTTICHE registred considerable commercial success, both with the acquisition of
new important customers and by improving international
join ventures agreements.
Since over 25 years FORT FIBRE OTTICHE sales and
assembles “step index” special fiber optics and, thanks
to the consolidated experience using these optical
fibers, sets us as one of the most complete referent to
the major producers of cables, installers and research

Per poter soddisfare le esigenze di connessione di tutti gli utilizzatori di cavi ottici, FORT FIBRE OTTICHE è
in grado di offrire connettori conformi agli standard internazionali tipo ST, F-SMA, FC/PC, SC, FDDI e ESCON
nelle versioni Multimodali e Monomodali, allo standard giapponese “J.I.S.” Japanese Industrial Standard e
allo standard AVAGO TECHNOLOGIES per fibre ottiche multimodali sintetiche e in quarzo Tipo PCS.
Il cablaggio di tutti i connettori viene effettuato con il metodo ad “Incollaggio e Lucidatura” a eccezione dei connettori ST, F-SMA, J.I.S. e AVAGO, per i quali è possibile adottare anche il metodo “Crimp &
Cleave”.

OPTICAL CONNECTORS AND TERMINATION KITS
In order to satisfy the needs of connection by the fiber optic users, FORT FIBRE OTTICHE is able to offer
connectors in compliance with international standards type ST, F-SMA, FC/PC, SC, FDDI and ESCON in
Multimode and Singlemode, to the Japanese Standard “JIS” Japanese Industrial Standard and to the
AVAGO TECHNOLOGIES one for optical plastic multimode fibers and in quartz type PCS.
The cabling of all connectors is done with method “glue and polish” excepting the ST, F-SMA, JIS and
AVAGO ones for which we it’s possible to use the method “Crimp and Cleave”.

GIUNTATRICI A FUSIONE
FORT FIBRE OTTICHE distribuisce in Italia giuntatrici a fusione con il controllo automatico sul core e
semi automatiche con il controllo sul cladding.
La giuntatrice serie TCW è una giuntatrice automatica e portatile a elevate prestazioni con la quale è possibile ottenere giunzioni tipiche di 0,01 dB, effettuando anche la stima del giunto. È possibile giuntare
qualsiasi tipo di fibra ottica MM(G651), SM(G652, G653 e G655). Dotata di un display in B/N o Colori,
che consente di visionare tutte le fasi della giunzione, è in grado di memorizzare fino a 5000 giunzioni.
La giuntatrice semi automatica FASE II consente di ottenere giunzioni a bassa attenuazione (tipica 0,05
dB), sia con fibre ottiche Monomodali che Multimodali. La versione base è dotata di un microscopio
a 75 ingrandimenti.
FORT FIBRE OTTICHE consiglia l’uso di taglia fibre di precisione serie TC-301 e/o TCA-8, indispensabili per ottenere il massimo delle prestazioni sia con la giuntatrice modello “TCW” che con il modello
FASE II. Un sistema meccanico di precisione consente di effettuare tagli inferiori a 0,5° per il modello
TC-301 e 0,7° per il modello TCA-8.
FUSION SPLICERS
FORT FIBRE OTTICHE distributes in Italy fusion splicers for the automatic control on core and semiautomatic to control the cladding.
The splicer TCW serie is automatic, portable and high performing through it, it’s possible to obtain proper junctions of 0,01 dB, making the estimation of the joint.
It’s possible to join any kind of fiber optic MM(G651), SM(G652, G653 e G655).
It’s provided with black/white or colour display, that shows all phases of the process, it can store up
to 5000 junctions.
The semi automatic FASE II allows the user to have low attenuation junctions (proper 0,05 db), both
with singlemode fibers and multimode.
The standard version is equipped with a microscope at 75 enlargements.
FORT FIBRE OTTICHE suggests the use of fiber precision cutter TC-301 serie and/or TCA-8, essential to
have the maximum efficiency both with the splicer type tcv and with the model FASE II.
A mechanical system of precision allows cuts at less than 0,5° for the model TC-301 and 0,7° for type TCA-8.

Per verificare la funzionalità di un cavo a fibre ottiche e il corretto cablaggio sono necessari strumenti
di misura quali:
쩨 Tester di continuità, Faul Locator.

O.T.D.R. (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer).
FORT FIBRE OTTICHE propone tutte le soluzioni. Di particolare interesse sono i Power Meter per lunghezze d’onda da 660 a 1550 nm con possibilità di memorizzare e stampare i test effettuati e gli
O.T.D.R. portatili sia per fibre ottiche Monomodali che Multimodali.
Come supporto alla propria clientela FORT FIBRE OTTICHE provvede a eseguire interventi in campo
quali, la posa dei cavi ottici, l’assistenza alla posa, il cablaggio di cavi già posati e il collegamento
tra cavi ottici tramite giunzioni a fusione o meccaniche, il tutto testato con Power Meter o O.T.D.R.

FORT FIBRE OTTICHE offers all solutions: extremely interesting are the Power Meter for wave lengths
from 660 to 1550 nm with the possibility to store and print the tests done and the portable OTDR both
for fibers singlemode and multimode.
By supporting it’s customs FORT FIBRE OTTICHE provides on site service such as the fiber optic cable
installation, the assistance during the cable placement, cabling of already-installed cables and the connection of optical cables by fusion junctions or mechanical, all tested by power meter or OTDR.

FIBRE OTTICHE SPECIALI “STEP INDEX”
FORT FIBRE OTTICHE rivende e assembla qualsiasi tipo di fibre ottiche speciali “Step Index” e, grazie
alla esperienza acquisita nel corso di 30 anni, si pone come il più completo e qualificato partner a cui
fanno capo produttori nazionali di cavi, installatori e istituti di ricerca.
La tipologia delle fibre ottiche trattate, spazia dalle Monomodali Standard per Telecom, a quelle ermetiche o a lunghezza d’onda selezionata, alla serie PCS “Plastic Clad Silica” con dimensioni di core da
110 µm a 1500 µm.
Di notevole interesse è la fibra ottica PCS da 200/230 µm, sempre più richiesta nel settore della automazione industriale. Inoltre è da sottolineare che questo tipo di fibra, per le sue caratteristiche ottiche

experience acquired during 30 years puts us as the most complete and qualified partners that bring
domestic manufacturers of cables, installers and research institutes.
The types of the fibers treated, ranges over the standards singlemode for Telecom, to the hermetics or
at selected wave length, from PCS series (Plastic Clad Silica) with core dimension of 110 µm up to
1500 µm.
Of remarkable interest it’s the fiber of PCS series of 200/230 µm, often required by the automation and
industrial branches.
Moreover this fiber, thanks to the huge optical and mechanical qualities has been taken by the major
company working on the rail field.

FIBRE OTTICHE PLASTICHE MITSUBISHI
Per sistemi di Trasmissione Dati su brevi distanze, entro i 100 mt., è possibile l'impiego di fibra ottica plastica economica e di facile connettorizzazione. Le fibre proposte sono dimensionate secondo gli
standard internazionali: diametro della fibra 1 mm e rivestimento esterno da 2,2 mm; attenuazione tipica garantita di 0,16 dB/mt. a 660 nm. a una temperatura di servizio da -40°C a +70/85°C.
Per temperature superiori è pronta all’uso una fibra ottica con la quale è possibile arrivare fino a temperature di 115°C con una attenuazione di 0,30 dB/mt a 660 nm.
Le fibre possono essere realizzate nelle versioni Mono e Bifibra a piattina standard e nelle rispettive
varianti “Rinforzate” per impieghi gravosi.
Cavi Multicanali interamente in fibre ottiche o soluzioni ibride con conduttori in rame sono realizzabili
a richiesta.
La connettorizzazione risulta estremamente facile adoperando sia l’economico connettore a standard
AVAGO TECHNOLOGIES che i connettori metallici tipo ST e/o SMA.
MITSUBISHI PLASTIC OPTICAL FIBERS
For data transmission at short distances, within 100 mt, it’s possible to use the plastic fiber optic, economical and easy for connectorization.
The fiber proposed are sized in according to the international standards: fiber diameter 1 mm and
external jacket of 2,2 mm; proper attenuation granted of 0,16dB/mt at 660 nm (working temperature
between -40°C to +70/85°C).
For higher temperatures there is a fiber optic type suitable up to 115°C and attenuation of 0,30 dB/mt
at 660 nm.
The fibers can be realized in mono and double fiber version with standard strip and in the reinforced
type for hard works.
Multi channel cables entirely in fiber optics or hybrid solutions with copper conductors are realizable
on request.
The installation of connectors is extremely easy using both the economic standard AVAGO TECHNOLOGIES and the metallic connectors type ST and/or SMA.

CONVERTITORI ELETTRO-OTTICI
Fin dai primi anni di attività FORT FIBRE OTTICHE progetta e commercializza sistemi di conversione
elettro-ottici per i principali standard di comunicazione seriale come RS232/422/485.
I convertitori elettro-ottici proposti da FORT FIBRE OTTICHE sono approntati in diversi modelli in funzione delle distanze da collegare, da pochi metri con fibre ottiche sintetiche, a decine di chilometri con
fibre ottiche in vetro Multimodali e/o Monomodali e dalle configurazioni dell’impianto Punto-Punto,
Multi-Punto e ad Anello Ridondante. Inoltre vengono realizzate interfacce video per collegamento di
telecamere per distanze fino a 15 km con fibre ottiche Multimodali e fino a 60 km con fibre ottiche
Monomodali.
Tutti i convertitori elettro-ottici sono preparati in contenitori “stand alone” o in schede “Euro” per Sub-Rack 19”.
FIBER OPTIC CONVERTERS
Since the beginning FORT FIBRE OTTICHE projects and deals with the electro-optical converter systems
for the main standards of serial communications such as RS232/RS422/RS485.
The electro-optical converter proposed by FORT FIBRE OTTICHE are in different models basing on the
distances to connect, from few meters with plastic optical fibers, up to tens km with glass Multimode
and/or Singlemode optical fibers and in point to point, Multi-Point and Ring configuration.
Moreover video interfaces has been realized to connect video cameras for distances up to 15 km and
Multimode optical fibers and up to 60 km with Singlemode ones.
All electro-optical converters are prepared in “stand alone” boxes or in “Euro” cards for sub rack 19”.

SWITCH ETHERNET INDUSTRIALI
FORT FIBRE OTTICHE dal 1995 è distributore degli apparati di rete Ethernet (10 Mbit), Fast Ethernet
(100 Mbit) e GigaBit della società GARRETTCOM.
Questi apparati mostrano un ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo e una ampia scelta di configurazioni, con
moduli con porte in rame, ottiche o misti.
Le porte ottiche, a seconda dei modelli, si possono avere a 10, 100 o 1000 Mbit e tutte in versione
per fibre ottiche Multimodali e Monomodali, per collegamenti fino a 70 Km.
Con i prodotti GARRETTCOM sono realizzabili reti ad anello singolo, multipli e reti magliate con la possibilità di ripristinare il collegamento in caso di guasto < a 50 ms, grazie al software RSTP.
INDUSTRIAL ETHERNET SWITCH
FORT FIBRE OTTICHE since 1995 is the distributor for Ethernet 10Mbit, Fast Ethernet 100Mbit and
Gigabit 1000Mbit switch of the company GARRETTCOM.
These switches have an optimal quality/price ratio and a wide choice of configurations, with modules
with copper ports, optical or mixed.
Optical ports, basing on models, can have at 10, 100 or 1000 Mbit and all in version for Multimode
and/or Singlemode fibers, for connection up to 70 km.
With products of GARETTCOM you can realize single ring nets, multiples and mesh nets with the possibility to restore the connection in case of fault < 50 ms, thanks to RSTP software.

FORT FIBRE OTTICHE presenta una dettagliata linea di sistemi Video/Audio e Dati che comprende un
assortimento di apparati dal più semplice Punto/Punto ai più sofisticati Multiplexer.
FORT FIBRE OTTICHE produce e commercializza Video, Video/Audio, Video/Audio/Dati in fibra ottica con
banda passante fino a 200 Mhz (3xRGB) e per CAD/CAM; sistemi dati per seriali RS-232/422/485,
current loop 20 mA digitale e analogico, con collegamenti Punto-Punto, Multi-Punto e Multiplexer.
Tutti i sistemi sono predisposti per collegamenti con fibre ottiche Multimodali e Monomodali (distanze

We manufactured and resell video, video/audio, video/audio/data systems in fiber optics with passing
band up to 200 Mhz (3 X RGB) and for CAD CAM; Data systems for serials RS/232/422/485, current
loop 20 mA digital and analog, with connections Point/point, Multi-point and Multiplexer.

PREVENZIONE DELLE ESPLOSIONI E DELL’INCENDIO NEI TRASFORMATORI
SERGI France è una società francese che ha realizzato l’unico sistema in grado di prevenire le esplosioni nei trasformatori con raffreddamento a olio.
Nel caso di un corto circuito all’interno di un trasformatore con raffreddamento a olio, il TRANSFORMER
PROTECTOR (TP) si attiva entro pochi millisecondi dal primo picco di pressione dinamica, evitando
l’incremento della pressione statica e di conseguenza proteggendo lo stesso da un eventuale esplosione.

by the first dynamic pressure peak of the shock wave, avoiding transformer explosions before static
