TOURISM, EVENTS AND TERRITORY 1st Cycle Degree (3 years – 180 credits) Faculty of Tourism, Events and Territory Tourism is a core sector of the Italian economy employing approximately 10% of the workers. It focuses on the natural, artistic and cultural resources of the country. The peculiarity of the Italian tourism assets requires managerial skills as well as sensibility and a sound socio-cultural knowledge. The Degree Course has been designed to provide the students with a strong economic, sociological and cultural background so as to allow them to deal with the management and organisation of tourist services in an effective way. Special attention is paid to the theme of sustainable tourism, to enhance and preserve Italy’s cultural heritage. Career possibilities: Graduates will be able to work as marketing managers, web designers, communication experts, destination managers and event organisers in the tourism industry (hotels, tourism agencies, tour operators, air companies, trade fairs etc.) or in public and non profit organisations (destination management organisations, convention bureaus, incoming agencies, local tourism authorities etc.).
