Initially, the word “spa” was referred exclusively to
places with mineral thermal water springs used for
relaxation and body cures. Today that same word
is used in a broader sense and can be referred
to exclusive wellness centres, to places where
water-based therapeutic treatments are provided
or to health centres set in natural areas, where
original spaces allow relaxing and reviving one’s
own vitality and interior harmony.
Every project has its own character and inherent
peculiarity. Stenal believes to be the ideal partner

Hammams are traditional wellness centres of the Arab world. Usually

with 3 or 4 rooms at different temperatures. Most of them also have
a platform for massages.

The specific heating for these kind of cabins allows a pleasant
sweating, that can be very useful to eliminate toxins, metabolism
waste products, fatty acids and impurities. The heat is induced
through the benches (about 39°C) and through the walls (about 65°C).

The high quantity of steam is designed to help general relaxation,

The centres designed by Stenal are enriched by more and more

room for halotherapy through sea salt vapours.
The cabin is covered in high pressure laminate ( HPL) and
backlit sea salt tiles, completed with a 15cm layer of grain salt
spread on the floor. The room is vaporized at regular intervals
with a saline solution and warmth is gradually diffused. This
particular combination generates a bioclimate which is similar
to a healthy seaside sojourn : a pleasant and wholesome
environment for the entire respiratory system embraced into
