realtà territoriale come quella di Roma e provincia,
straordinariamente ricca di bellezze paesaggistiche,
artistiche e archeologiche, di attività produttive
artigianali, di eccellenze enogastronomiche. L’inimitabile intreccio di tutti questi elementi concorre
a definire l’unicità del nostro territorio ed è alla
base della sua forte capacità attrattiva nei confronti
dei turisti italiani e stranieri.
Tra gli inestimabili tesori monumentali che rendono
da sempre Roma famosa nel mondo basti ricordare
il Colosseo, il Foro Romano, Piazza di Spagna. Più
di recente, la nostra città si è dotata di infrastrutture
culturali all’avanguardia – come l’Auditorium Parco
della Musica, progettato da Renzo Piano, al cui interno opera l’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia;
il Teatro dell’Opera; il MAXXI - Museo nazionale
delle Arti del XXI secolo, opera di Zaha Hadid – e
iniziative di eccellenza, come il Festival Internazionale
del Film di Roma e il RomaFictionFest, che le hanno
consentito di farsi portatrice di una rinnovata e differenziata offerta artistica.
Il territorio della provincia, composto di 121 comuni,
vanta straordinarie e variegate attrattive naturali
(mare, fiumi, laghi, colline, riserve e parchi naturali),
archeologiche e monumentali: ville e terme romane,
tombe etrusche, borghi, eremi, castelli.
Le oltre 458.000 imprese romane offrono poi prodotti di massima qualità: dall’enogastronomia alla
moda, dalle produzioni orafe alla nautica.
La Camera di Commercio di Roma, l’Istituzione
economica della Capitale, annovera la crescita del
settore turistico tra le sue priorità. Due gli interventi
attualmente al centro della nostra attività. Il primo
è il progetto “Excellence in Rome”, promosso in
collaborazione con le quattro grandi associazioni
imprenditoriali della Capitale – CNA, Confcommercio,
Confesercenti e Unindustria – finalizzato a sostenere
le imprese che fanno del made in Italy il loro punto
di forza. Il secondo è il bando per l’assegnazione
del marchio “Ospitalità Italiana”, a garanzia della
qualità del servizio delle strutture ricettive, ristorative
e agrituristiche, secondo i requisiti definiti dall’ISNART (IStituto NAzionale Ricerche Turistiche).

Among the priceless monumental treasures that
have made Rome world famous we only need recall
the Colosseum, the Roman Forum and the Spanish
Steps. Recently our city has added cutting-edge
cultural infrastructure – such as the Auditorium
Parco della Musica designed by Renzo Piano, home
of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia; The Rome
Opera House; the MAXXI – National Museum of XXI
century Art, designed by Zaha Hadid – and high
quality initiatives such as the Rome International
Film Festival and the RomaFictionFest, which have
enabled Rome to present new and diversified artistic
offerings.
The province, composed of 121 municipalities, boasts
impressive and varied attractions, not only natural
(sea coast, rivers, lakes, hills, nature reserves and
parks) but archaeological and monumental as well,
including Roman villas and baths, Etruscan tombs,
villages, monasteries and castles.
In addition, the more than 458,000 businesses in
Rome offer products of the highest quality, from
food and wine to fashion, from jewellery production
to boating.
The Rome Chamber of Commerce, the capital’s
economic institution, counts tourist sector growth
among its priorities. The current focus of our activity
is on two projects. The first of these, “Excellence in
Rome”, organized in collaboration with the capital’s
four large business associations – CNA, Confcommercio, Confesercenti and Unindustria – aims to
support businesses whose strong point is ‘made in
Italy’. The second is the award of the trademark
“Italian Hospitality” as a guarantee of high quality

farms, according to the standards established by

l’unico gruppo Internazionale che
riunisce tutti i rami dell’industria
del turismo e dei viaggi. I suoi associati, che lavorano come operatori economici e come dirigenti, si
incontrano a livello locale, regionale, nazionale ed internazionale,
a vari livelli, per discutere e perseguire argomenti di comune interesse. Il primo Club fu fondato a
Parigi nel 1932 da dirigenti del Turismo dopo un viaggio “educational” in Scandinavia. L’idea di
cordialità ed amicizia a livello internazionale crebbe e, nel 1934, è
stata fondata la “Association Internationale des Skål Clubs”. Skål International oggi ha circa 23.000
soci in oltre 500 Clubs in 92 nazioni. Gran parte delle attività avvengono a livello locale fino ad
arrivare ai Comitati Nazionali, sotto
il controllo di Skål International che
ha la sua sede presso il Segretariato Generale a Torremolinos,

the world, promoting global
tourism and friendship.
It is the only international group
uniting all branches of the travel
and tourism industry. Its members, the industry's managers
and executives, meet at local, national, regional and international
levels to discuss and pursue topics of common interest.
The first Club was founded in
1932 in Paris by travel managers,
following an educational tour of
Scandinavia. The idea of international goodwill and friendship
grew and, in 1934, the “Association Internationale des Skål
Clubs” was formed. Skål International today has approximately
23.000 members in 500 Clubs
throughout 92 nations. Most activities occur at local level, moving up through National Committees, under the umbrella of Skål
International, headquartered at
the General Secretariat in Torremolinos, Spain. Skål International,
being founded in 1934, is the oldest Tourism Association in the

-Nuovo Trasporto Viaggiatori is the first
private operator on the Italian
high speed rail network.
Operating company NTV is the
first customer to take delivery of
Alstom’s new AGV trains, meaning that Italo trains are the most
modern in Europe. The trains
carry a striking red livery. The
trains feature free onboard wifi
throughout, a cinema coach
showing movies and a relax
coach, where mobile phones and
loud conversation are banned.
Italo train services run between
Milan and Salerno, calling in Reggio Emilia, Bologna, Florence,
Rome and Naples en route. Services will be extended to cover
more high speed routes later in
December 2013, with new destinations including Rimini and Ancona, to be introduced.
Italo services run to and from
the new state of the art Tiburtina
station in Rome, opened in February ’12. This is planned to be
the hub for most high speed
services arriving in and departing from the city. In Milan, services use the newly refurbished
Porta Garibaldi station, located
in the heart of the fashion district.
Italo services are the first completely ticketless trains. Customers will simply need to
provide the train staff with a 6
letter reference given to them at
the time of booking and the staff
will be able to retrieve all their
details from a mobile PDA device. All the Italo personnel
speaks English.
